Just got back from a vacation cruise on the Columbia river.  Ran into a fellow Bills fan on the Mt St. Helen's excursion.  We said to each other "with our luck, hope this mountain doesn't erupt again". We're an endangered species.

I know he's small but if Brady could design plays that get him off the line unmolested, he could be the mismatch. I could see him tracking down the 60 yard JA17 bomb with the nearest defender 10 yards behind him and falling further back.

 

Then draft Legette in the 2nd and the X-Men Offense is born.

His speed is undeniable but watching his tape there's a few things I don't trust regarding his hands and route running. Will he be durable?

He'd have to agree to 100% step away from all GM decisions.  If Sean were to get fired, Bill would have to hire a very compelling OC if Brady doesn't pan out or gets hired as a HC. But for now there's like a 2% chance of any of this happening.

Based on age and projected production,  I'd still try to trade for Aiyuk over Higgins. I thinkhe would be more productive (proven player) and less expensive in picks than going after the big3.  Then I'd do what I could to trade up in the 2nd for Legette.

Just saw that Aiyuk was ranked #2 last season with a 17.9 per catch average.  For comparison Diggs ranked 70th at 11.1 per.  If they can swing a post June 1 deal / trade, please "do it".  Then trade up in the 2nd for Legette.

Exactly,  I'll take a proven commodity over an unpredictable rookie wr. But we still need 2 if for no other reason then getting that 4-5 year rookie contract value.  March of 2025 you're going to see alot of $30M wr fa's signed or extended.

And there lies the biggest problem.  We should've been transitioning to more man coverage years ago. I'm willing to give Kaiir one more year to improve his zone play. And if he can't accomplish that with a new coach then cut his ass.

As tempting as it is to give a kings ranson for MHJ, Nabers or Odunze, I'd much rather watch Beane be wise and prudent letting the remaining very good wrs come to 28. We will very soon need a better pass rusher, C and safety.  I'm all for drafting wrs in the first 2 rounds. But a Julio Jones scenario would be foolish.  Even Sammy would agree.

He's the reason I became a Bills fan 55 years ago. Still blows me away I just happen to drive by the crime scene that morning before news broke.  I'll never regret becoming an obsessed Bills fan. But I will regret seeing what a disgusting human being he turned out to be.

Dawson Knox is a more likely trade candidate, I think, especially if it helps the Bills move up to get the player they want--and if the team is willing to pay a high percentage of Knox's salary.

Exactly,  you can trade Knox all day long as far as I'm concerned.  But Milano is still too valuable to our defense. The biggest question mark is how he looks post injury?

This is all the more reason why we probably need to double dip on wrs. We'll be lucky to find one wr1/wr2 between the 2 picks. And next year we'll need to draft wr again.  So between the 1st & 2nd round we have about a 30% chance of landing a (++) wr.

Is there a projected "diva test" that they can take before the draft. That would be very helpful.

As of this week, this is the scenario I'm hoping happens.  I have a funny feeling both Thomas & Mitchell fall to us @ 28. So it will be up to the scouts not to screw this up. I would consider using a 5th to move up in the 2nd for another wr.
