  1. Josh will simply never win MVP due to bias /agendas on the part of voters dating back to his college/ draft time. It just is what it is. Laughably so, because he produced the most offense for his team. Objectively the best player on this short list.
  2. Yes, a message board for our NFL team. I have no desire to watch 4 hours of blather about players I dislike - Mahomes, Kelce, the swifts etc etc. Last year it was two teams I hated so I caught the last few minutes of the 4th quarter just to see the score ( and the atrocious penalty at the end). I do kind of like SF, so maybe a little more of the 4th this time. If SF wins I’ll enjoy watching the postgame festivities. No need to watch programming that isn’t entertaining just because it’s the NFL.
  3. Watched about 10 minutes total last year. This year I actually like one participant- San Francisco. Maybe catch some of the 4th quarter again. Just hate the Chiefs so it doesn’t hold much entertainment value. If they lose I’d like to see that ending.
  4. Yes , and it could very well have been the Bills. One 3 play sequence with a couple minutes remaining ensured it didn’t happen.
  5. Not surprised at todays result. Jackson just isn’t that great a QB. Looked like playoff Lamar again. The #1 seed isn’t the be all end all that many make it out to be.
  6. The reality is a top coordinator becomes a HC. The “ innovative” systems that actually led to SB wins are decades old.
  7. Yep. They’re an older franchise than Buffalo and have had very little success over the decades. Definitely have a bit of a soft spot for them.
  8. Easy - pour a rocks glass of Havana Club 7 , light a Habano Montecristo 2 sit back and bask in the glory. Someday man, someday ….
  9. Neither did anything noteworthy in our divisional round loss to KC.
  10. No surprise there, he was playing for one more big contract.
  11. Of course not. Many won’t watch if their team isn’t playing. I’ll watch while somewhat casually pulling for Baltimore. Can’t root for the Chiefs unless it directly benefits Buffalo for playoff seeding etc. I don’t love the Ravens by any means, but I still like them more than KC.
  12. There no way to quantify “ best”. Bills mafia is and should be in the running for the title though. Every fan base has knuckleheads and trolls. Some of those trolling Bass may not be actual Bills fans at all. Can’t let a few heathens give a fan base a bad name.
  13. It’s simple : they didn’t beat the team in front of them that was required to make a AFCCG /Super Bowl. That’s it. You only have to be better than your opponent on that day, but you only get that single day to do it. Simple , but not easy. Sometimes it’s matchups, others it’s finding a way to make one or two more plays than the other guy. Your regular season earns you a chance, but you only get one.
  14. Seemed to have the dropsies since middle of October.
  15. Nope. All this super analysis is ridiculous too. Wasn’t the issue last year supposedly being too aggressive vs the Bengals ? Now it was being too conservative… lol. This game was decided ( not surprisingly given these two teams) on the final Bills possession. It was really quite obvious if you paid attention. I’m not sure what Brady was thinking here , with a predictable Cook run up the middle for one yard ( a wasted play) Then two shots to the end zone , which would have left plenty of time for KC to win the game with little to no time remaining. Even if Bass connected for the tie, does anyone doubt defeat was just around the corner? They needed to continue what they had done offensively all night long. Chew up clock and get first downs, keeping Mahomes on the bench. The Bills D couldn’t stop KC - as their 9+ yds per play allowed showed. The Bills downfield attempts only resulted in drops of quality passes by Allen. A more aggressive scheme would surely have resulted in a Chiefs blowout of Buffalo, as the defense was a shell of itself. The game plan was just right, until those final plays of the last possession .They almost pulled it off if not for these few plays. The injuries had a huge impact, but in the end the Bills had a perfect scenario as time ran down. They simply botched it -completely on their own.
  16. That gameplan was really the only chance they had. Did you see how wide open Kelce was ? They couldn’t match up worth a damn on defense and they knew it. Offense needed to play keep away with long methodical drives and have the ball at the end. Bills had the perfect set up at the end , just completely misplayed it. This trend will likely continue.
  17. This really can’t be overstated. It’s the matchup that decided the game. KC scored almost at will. I think I had seen that their magic number this year was 20. If they scored that or less they lost . Over 21 and they won. We gave em 27 and it would have been more if they got the ball back needing to score. The offense almost pulled it off until the strange sequence of plays leading to the ( inevitable) Bass miss. Even if he’d made the kick I had little confidence that KC wouldn’t March down the field and win. Did anyone really think the Bills wouldn’t need to run the clock down to almost nothing to get a win?
  18. It wasn’t a disadvantage, the Bills defense was though. Almost 10 yards per play. No one on the DL made any big plays. That was going to be a requirement to make up for injuries on the back end. They cumulatively got an F.
  19. Home field doesn’t score points. Good plays plus execution do. The Bills had neither in that final possession. Fwiw the home field didn’t help much where it typically does : when the opponent is on offense. Did it lead to a single false start ? Create communication issues that helped get the defense a sack ? The D was injured for sure, but 9+ ypp is an embarrassment. No one on the D line elevated their game , and that’s where this one was lost. They needed a perfect game on offense and had the perfect setup to run the clock down and score. The final sequence was not a great moment for Joe Brady. If they had scored with any significant time remaining the game was as good as lost.
  20. Have to agree on the Chiefs offense vs Bills D. I know we had a lot of injuries, but they pretty much scored at will. Maybe we forced one punt? A great play at the goal line with the FF, but that was about it as far as defense was concerned. This wasn’t even a high powered version of the Chiefs and they moved the ball at will.
  21. Agree. I watched about a half dozen plays of last years. Just no real interest in watching that team.
  22. The fake punt didn’t end up swinging anything , as the Bills ended up with the ball after the KC fumble through the end zone . The Bills offense did nothing with the ensuing possession though. Just an awful play by Diggs.
  23. Yeah, that appears true. Probably just showing my frustration with that final sequence.
