If it helps retain Josh Allen, I'm all for it.
Next offseason JA17's cap hits start getting so large and his remaining term so short that he can pretty much call his shot on where he wants to play if the Bills can't get him to sign an extension.
His home state of California.........with offensive geniuses McVay and Shanahan.........and the promise of not having to face Mahomes in the playoffs until a Super Bowl........that would have to be very enticing.
Bills need to be ALL ABOUT supporting Josh Allen. The hope of Belichick making a difference might be enough to tip the scales if they are otherwise all-in on giving Allen weapons.
Josh Allen would be the biggest fraud ever
Literally since day one before he ever stepped onto an NFL field he said he wanted to play with one franchise forever ... Hid biggest thing is loyalty
And talks about how much he loves Buffalo... The children's hospital is named in honor of his grandmother
It's one thing if he leaves when he's 37... Leaving in his prime... He would have a smear campaign against him
And they would probably drag up every single little incident that ever happened... And Josh certainly doesn't want to go through the ringer.. and they would drag him through it because they are so petty
You're talking about the face of an entire city... Before Tom Brady the Patriots were not a proud franchise
The Buffalo Bills on the other hand... And our fan base...

But it's not accredited.
I thought way back in the day, they replaced YHWH (YaWeh sounding, meaning Jehovah) with Adonai... but that was back when the Bible was being written, I think.
Possibly been a while...
I know YHWH was the unspeakable name

Having been raised in the Jewish faith this name never fails to crack me up. "Adonai" is Hebrew for "God" and religious Jews are so careful of observing the commandment of not taking God's name in vain, they actually won't say this word unless engaged in formal prayer. In other cases they substitute the word Hashem which means "the name."
I can't wait until he catches a Hail Mary pass.
I thought adonai was "my Lord"
And the Hebrews replaced the word, That can never be uttered.. the true name of the Lord... With Adonai
And used adonai in synagogue ritual

Geno Smith?

Bills traded away pick that was used to select GOAT player.
I understand the situation at the time but it just adds to the misery of a franchise that is a punchline.
He's not the greatest player lmao

As to the last, didn't hear it. And I was listening.
Called him his brother, said he extended a hand to him when he joined the team, didn't say anything about him as a QB
I read your post, rightly or wrongly, as saying Diggs still believed in Josh as his QB and it was the Bills initiative to be shopping him.
My point is from what others have said about seeking permission to seek a trade, it was Diggs who wanted out and asked the Bills if he could have his people shop him. He didn't believe in Josh as his QB or in the Bills organization as a Championship-caliber organization any more, and he wanted to seek greener pastures.
Who knows?
The bottom line is that Diggs has moved on, and the Bills have moved on.
I have moved on, from Ghost (Gabe Davis dog) to Penny (Khalil Shakir's dog)
Football is a business
It is what it is .. I certainly won't lose any sleep over it
And I think Khalil is a very talented young man

Davis is mostly PF. Can probably fill in a little at C or SF if needed. He was the starting C for Delaware last year.
Yeah but in a smaller league right? He's 6'7..
That could certainly fly in a mid major.. but I don't think he could play center in the ACC

Except the story from others is that it was Diggs agents who did the shopping - that they had permission to seek a trade from anyone but KC
So who knows? Except I think it's been a couple years since he said that about Josh, feel free to set me right
"In fact, if you leave him alone too long, he'll chew up your sofa like an understimulated husky!"
"We just got that sofa!"
Well typically if you're given permission to seek a trade.. the team is shopping you
And the team did right by him and let him choose his landing spot sans Kansas City
So he's actively been on the block and knew he wouldn't be coming back
And as to the second part I'm pretty sure he said it every single year here including last year
But he's not a Buffalo Bill anymore so it doesn't matter.. the team will win games without him

Jyare Davis to Syracuse is official. Gotta think Dakota Leffew will follow soon.
In outgoing transfer news, Justin Taylor committed to James Madison and Maliq Brown is visiting (gulp) Duke.
Where does Davis slot? Can he play PF?
Benny Williams to UCF

Imagine how much better he would be if he conditioned himself properly.
why be the best when you could be tenth best, I suppose.
Plenty of great left tackles don't peek till 29-30...
He definitely has the right mindset.. blocking for Josh Allen will only help
I think he still has the arrow up for another 2 years till he declines.. he hasn't plateau yet .. I think he can be our LT for 2-3 more years

Dawkins is absolutely one of my favorite players left
People hate on him... Call him fat.. lazy, overrated...
Advanced Statistically... He has been very good... One of only 4-5 tackles... With a pass blocking grade above 76 over 5 straight seasons
Lineman ebb and flow... Have a good year than a bad year... Only the best of the best stay consistent
And he's been healthy and super consistent the last 3-4-5... And blocks The blind side with the most amount of one-on-one blocks
And he stalwarts plenty of pass rushers
You the man Dion
There aren't 10 tackles in the NFL with pass blocking grades as consistent as Dion over the last five years combined

Love the first two paragraphs calling for more fluidity/flexibility in how we label WR traits, ESPECIALLY in light of how E-P passing concepts specifically seek to muddy up all that static, pedantic defining of individual roles. Each guy needs to be able to execute each route/responsibility in order for the offense to really hum.
As for the bolded, I'm of two minds. On one hand, yes the Bills had fallen in love with WR pre-snap motion where Gabe Davis (or sometimes Sherfield) very obviously motions/reduces down into box with the intent to run block...and they need a guy who can still do that effectively.
On the other hand, that was insanely predictable (think Davis' motion timing on own-goal-line backed up QB sneak against Vikings, or basically every other time he motioned to condense the formation -- minus that early TD play against Rams in 2022 NFL opener on the road at LA). There is a role for a run-blocking WR in this offense, FOR SURE. Might be part of why moving on from Diggs was palatable: he lacked that flexibility and physicality? I'd like to see what Brady's offense looks like with truly interchangeable WRs. WRs who can run after catch and put in an honest blocking effort while also being able to separate downfield. That's the E-P dream scenario.
Ignoring all that, Xavier Worthy represents a skillset and downfield threat that our current WR room lacks. McD and Beane have both mentioned a need for "explosive" passing plays. He's better all around that many casual fans realize, and in my opinion, offers blue-chip traits (long speed and explosivity) with enough else (hands and separation skills) to attract a GM like Beane. Allen can benefit greatly from a downfield threat like Brown, younger Diggs, younger Sanders, sometimes Davis, and whoever is next. We're missing that piece just as much, if not more, than we're missing a WR who can block.
Maybe Xavier Legette does both?
It's 2024... There is a difference between verbiage systems and schemes now
For all intensive purposes.. when someone says EP or West Coast... They're talking about the verbiage system... Not a specific scheme ... There still is a West Coast scheme but it is differentiated from the system
You can run any single play with West Coast verbiage or EP verbiage... The difference is how it gets out
It's not like 50 years ago where the systems was built for specific schemes.. so a team using the corryell system was vastly different than a team using the West Coast system
Nowadays that's not the case
Every single play in football has been ran.. it's over 100 years old ... You can run an uptempo vertical spread offense from the EP.. or a West Coast zone run scheme from the EP
South Right Clamp Fake 67 Slant Naked Right Zebra Slide Can 67 Slant... That will be a call in a West Coast system... Really wordsy , and a lot to memorize
F Right 72 Ghost/Tosser.. same call in EP
It's a lot easier to get out.. which is why teams have gone to the EP.. it has nothing to do with the types of plays you can use but how you relays information

I kinda like it. he's a quality coach, he takes a step up for future opportunities and oh by the way, one of his players is in the transfer portal and has SU on his short list. This is a great move that potentially fills 2 holes, g-mac and judah mintz
I feel like we are taking there guard now lol

The last couple of years he was a major problem child. Not all of the information is public. Aaron Kromer's daughter tweeted out "Good riddance" in response to the initial trade news which should give you an idea of the sort of reputation he had behind the scenes. As a player on the field he was amazing (until the last half of last season), but off the field he was a nuisance. Personally I'm glad that he's gone, knowing some of the things that I know.
And Jordan Poyers brother bashed the bills organization on the way out
And said that they don't treat the players as good as they say they do and it's all an act
So now do we piss on Jordan poyer? Or is maybe his brother salty too

Diggs is right and I've been saying it for years
The Buffalo Bills fan base is the best and worst of the NFL
Some great fans... And literally the scum of the Earth... Bills Mafia is disgusting on the internet
So yeah it's easy to not piss on him on the way out when he's literally getting vile treatment

Spencer Rattler...put him on Washington, or LSU, or Oregon, or Michigan or Florida State or whatever and I just wonder if the results are different. There is something about him...I'm not typically a small quarterback guy, but I find him interesting in terms of the arm talent and athleticism. The wrist flick on some of his deep throws are just different.
His college film isn't much different than Patrick Mahomes' was. I think if Rattler gets in the right situation he will make it.
he was in a tremendous situation at Oklahoma and couldn't get it done
He obviously improved and was a top HS QB so has a great arm
But OU instantly get better when they went to the true freshman Caleb Williams who looked like a #1 overall pick
Rattler was supposed to be that guy but took a while to develop
He has the tools of a starter but he's missing some stuff
4th round but that's a good QB in that round

I'm kinda old.
When did the X, Y, Z nomenclature take over?
WR1, TE, Slot
Or from my early days: Split End, Tight End, Flanker (that one was before my time, but I knew what it meant)
Isn't it all the same thing, different name? Or am I missing some subtlety here?
Flanker and split end are just old school names for alignments
The x is the split end.. he is lined up on the line of scrimmage and cannot motion
The z is the flanker and lined off the line of scrimmage

Building a bond. Bills haven’t done this since 2020. Mahomes literally runs his own passing camp at his house every year.
You have no proof that Josh Allen does not work out with his receivers in the off season
You're talking about a kid who had a world class work ethic now all of a sudden since he got good he's a bum with getting chemistry with teammates
