People in here getting excited about safeties.
I mean, the 2 guys we had back there for the last 6 years were as important as anyone in the turnaround for this organization

I sort of have a feeling they will slide in last minute and bring Hyde back.

I mean the guy is a good player but how many Dlineman do we need? Seriously..it’s nice to have these guys buy you have a lot of holes. I truly don’t even want this guy if not only because we need too much. You

I really wanted a White restructur and move to Safety permanently but..sucks. Wish him luck

Guy is constantly hurt but obviously you’d be interested at a short term dice roll

I think our offense was at its best with that shifty underneath slot guy, (Beasley) I’d really like Renfro. Josh buys a lot of time and having that underneath guy on 3rd down really helps

Guys going to replace Poyer. Not sure how I feel about it. Better get his head together and lay off the unnecessary dirty plays.

This fan base is obsessed with comp picks lol What are the odds the guy we take with it matters? Slim to none.

Zach Wilson doesn't beat us. Salah's defense does. He admitted after that week 1 win (by the Jets) that he knew the plays that Dorsey called before the ball was snapped. If you think back on those Jets losses. they all involved multiple turnovers by the Bills as well as stalled drives. Salah may be a bit of a meathead and a bad HC, but he is a great defensive mind.
Eh, I think that defense has given us some issues and yeah we gave that one away week 1 but Wilson made some big throws in that first win. The 21 win. I’m not saying he’s good but he has the tools. I’d be willing to give him a shot at backing up Josh
-
The guy isn’t good by any stretch but I’d give him a shot as a potential long term backup. He can run and he’s got to get out of the situation he’s in. Sadly this guy has been the only non Mahomes/Burrow/Brady that’s really beaten us more than once. Go figure

Our defense never makes stops against the good QBs.
We can talk about it 500 different ways. Since Houston 19…that’s it. That the reason. We can keep pretending or keep ignoring it. That’s the problem

Lol tell a guy we might replace you if we find a better option but then if not go back to him? Yeah I’m sure that would be a real comfortable working environment if you come back to him. Sounds like a real world situation….Fire him or don’t. We all already know he’s going nowhere. You want to go outside the organization to put a big time OC in there? Maybe have a little in house heat and pressure? That can probably happen. But you can’t have 1 foot out the door here then come back to McDermott. Once you even bring it up, you have to move on.

Hey donating to charity is wonderful. Power to you…but what are we doing here? I mean obviously don’t be making threats to the guy but now we have to be donating to his charity because he’s upset? I mean it’s a kick you have to make. There’s considerable middle ground between being an ####### and threatening him and acting like we are happy. If you want to give to a worth cause, go ahead. But what are we doing here.

The guy was so good until this year. But kickers are like relief pitchers. Lights out for a few years then just straight trash out of nowhere

I don’t want to waste another year in Allen’s prime. There’s going to be a day where he can’t run anymore. We got to get one early. I’d rather completely rebuild the defense with young guys and a new voice in the Room and run it back. But I don’t want wholesale changes. You never know when you won’t get back again

We’ve completely ignored the offensive side of the ball for 3-4 years. We have scrubs playing like scrubs.
meanwhiles McD actually has scrubs playing great on D.
it’s time to invest all out in the offense and let McD coach the scrubs up.
we need 3 new WRs another RB and a better offensive coach. We don’t need high priced DEs LBs or CBs who can’t sack tackle or cover any better than the late rounders Beane brings in.
We brought in a ton of WRs, drafted a TE round 1, took Oline round 2, brought in a starter on the Oline via FA….how did we ignore the offense? The offense is excellent. The problem is anytime we face a real Qb, we can’t get off the field. Then it becomes a zero margin game for the offense. That’s been our problem since the Texans playoff loss. That’s the issue. It’s never the offense. The offense is why we are anything.
-
I usually don’t speak to anyone for like an entire day after a bad loss. I’m so much more normal then I usually am. I knew we were done as soon as I saw the flow of the game. Any time this team is on skates defensively and you just know we have zero shot to make a legit stop…we just eventually won’t score and we are dead. Same movie 20x. The Texans playoff loss was the projection of exactly what this is always going to be. If another team has a good QB and they can score with us…we are dead. Either we turn a team over a ton or we get out early and throttle you. There’s no back and fourth, make a big stop and then win. It’s kill a team…turn them over a bunch, outclass a lesser opponent or lose. That’s what it is. If the other team has a capable QB, we won’t stop them.

I’m all for it. No shot we do it but I’d actually love it. At least we know that guy can do it. Again…will not happen but I’m 100% for it.

You have 3 big drops in this game. The 3 plays on the last drive before the FG kill you. Blown coverage and kelce TD. The fake punt is embarrassing. The horrible punt, the horrible Bass kick. Not scoring a TD on that first drive and taking 3. You can’t have any of those mistakes, let alone all of them. You aren’t beating Mahomes with 5th string LBers then making all those mistakes. We couldn’t tackle, couldn’t stop the run all day. You just didn’t play well. The offense had a string of great play, the rest of the day was sloppy. STs terrible, the defense made 1 stop all night. You are lucky to have even had a look at the end. Make that FG and KC will be down in FG range in 40 seconds anyway. You have to just be better all around. Wether that’s coaching? I don’t know. I know until we actually do this thing, I’ll never believe we can. And that’s not my fault. That’s 35 years of bull####

Every year ends exactly the same. Mahomes or Burrow just has whatever they want. You never get a stop when you need it. The offense has zero room for error

Maybe I’m boring here but I wish the kickoff just got left alone. I don’t want it out of the game. I wish they’d go back to what it was even. If the alternative is no kick at all then fine..this will have to do. But I still want to see kick off returns starting a game. That’s football to me. Even if it’s a touchback
