  1. And I’m sure those handful of teams don’t have McKenzie or Hines. I’m not knocking his merit as a player I’m wondering where he fits and if it was the optimal signing. Won’t have an answer for that until kickoff but I guess I’m just surprised by the pickup with the needs of this team.
  2. I just don’t get it. You want someone running jet sweeps we have McKenzie and for far cheaper. You want a threat in the return game we have Nyheim Hines and once again for much cheaper. This just seems like a weird use of resources. Obviously I could be wrong and maybe he adds something dynamic that I just don’t see but it seems awfully expensive when we could have taken a flier on a 6th round WR at a fraction of the cost and paid for a MLB instead
  3. I collect game used jerseys and gear. This is my small mancave
  4. Of course it’s coaching. We lose our identity in the playoffs. The Chiefs are Chiefs-lite all season long then as soon as the playoffs hit you know they are going to get creative on offense and sling it around and their defense is going to press and play gritty clingy coverage. Same thing for the 49ers they are a fantastic regular season team but it almost feels like their defense moves faster and hits harder in the playoffs. The Eagles leaned heavy into their running QB and running game all playoffs. Barring Josh’s epic playoff run in 2021, once the playoffs hit I don’t feel like I’m watching “Bills football” let alone an amped up version of it.
  5. Yikes I thought the elephant in the room was that our defense has completely folded and been god awful the past 3 playoff exits and everyone keeps blaming Frazier for running McDermotts defense. That seemed way more elephanty in the roomish.
  6. I agree with everything else but give at least some credit to Dungy his defense made more sense than what we run. When you have Freeney and Mathis on the edge (and not in some dumb rotation) eventually they’ll make a play. Rousseau and Epenesa are not Freeney and Mathis. I was blown away by how many times I saw our DE’s dropping back into coverage yesterday. You had a backup o-line. We shouldn’t have needed fancy looks. Colts weren’t dropping Freeney into coverage on 3rd so that Gary Bracket could try his hand at pass rushing.
  7. I agree with you on the field. But off the field I would argue the opposite. Off the field they were having plenty of fun. Kyles basement, Vons podcast, locker room karaoke, frequent McAfee visits, etc. There was a weekly Josh Allen MVP tracker and Jordan Poyer had a weekly interception tracker when he was smiling about maybe averaging 1 a week (both trackers proceeded to fall off of a cliff after week 5). I can’t remember a year since the early 90s where there was so much Bills content to watch outside of Sundays. I think this team was reading its press clippings and halfway through the season realized oh crap we aren’t just going to stroll to this super bowl and then pressed when they realized their destiny wasn’t just a given. Winning is fun
  8. Man Frank Reich really had the Eagles rolling when he was their OC. Unfortunately I think the motto “trust the process” is going to sell this all as part of the medicine needed to win a championship and nothing happens.
  9. I personally wouldn’t make the swap. I’m certain Joe Burrow would get murdered behind our offensive line. Joe has had some subpar o-lines but I think even at their worst it was better than what we offer
  10. Didn’t realize snow made you get dominated on both lines.
  11. Am I the only one who totally sees/agrees this comparison but also totally hate it. Never once did I have faith that Big Ben was going to win a SB. Thankfully he had a phenomenal run game and a once in a generation defensive coordinator and defensive scouting department.
  12. Ed Oliver, AJ Epenesa, Boogie Basham, Greg Rousseau through the draft Settle, Jones, Phillips, Lawson, Miller, Star through free agency. They are investing. They just aren’t hitting. Offensively the best lineman we’ve had plays for the Browns and arguably the second best one tried to remove his dead fathers head during a mental break. We spent money on Morse, Bates, Saffold, etc We aren’t hitting
  13. Considering Morse’s concussion history I think we’ve seen his last snap for the Bills too. Will be sad to see him go
  14. It’s easy to say “fire Frazier” but there’s a bigger issue here. This is McDermotts defensive scheme and philosophy. It would be like calling for Eric Bienamy’s job if the Chiefs had a rough outing. Bienamy is calling plays for Andy Reid’s offense. Frazier is calling plays that fit McDermotts scheme and overall philosophy.
  15. I can’t help but to notice that Josh got way better with Daboll and took a step back without him. Josh is admittedly streaky but a better OC would have put him in better positions to make plays today. And a more confident OC would have been in Josh’s ear and tell him to stop ******** throwing 30 yard passes to WRs with bad hands when it’s 3rd and 2. I put this on Dorsey and I put the defense on Frazier. Whenever I watch playoff football I always see teams pulling out every trick in their book to advance and I’ve just never gotten that from McDermott era teams. We are vanilla week 1-18 and we are vanilla in the playoffs. Sometimes I think our regular season success is holding us back from asking the tough questions like “why does this defense never work when it matters”.
  16. Because you continually lose for the same reasons
  17. Chucky got a call after Tony Dungy built a winner. Andy Reid got replaced after 4 AFC Championship game appearances and a couple down years. Doug Peterson got replaced after winning a SB. Some times you hit a wall. Not saying McDermott is bad but how do we fix this? And if the answer is to keep doing the same thing, and try harder then yeah you make calls Changes need to be made. Hopefully McDermott is the one to do them. But we can’t “run this back”
  18. Anyone in the NFC. But if I have to pick one it’s the Chiefs. I will never want Eli Apple to win.
  19. Next year…. No super bowl favorites. No Josh Allen mvp watch. No Tuesday night Allen interviews with Kyle Brandt. No locker room karaoke. No 50 billion interviews with Pat McAfee. No Von Miller podcast introspectives. I love this team and always will. But they were reading their own press clippings this year. And this is the product. The coaching has been terrible but there has been a lack of energy since kickoff
  20. This outcome and this team is what happens when you are chasing instead of playing your own style of football. We went all out to build a team to beat the Chiefs and lo and behold we are getting stomped by the Bengals. How well did it work out when every AFC East team built to beat the Patriots?
  21. This game doesn’t even hurt that bad. It just brings back the fact that last year was our year. A forever reminder of how brutal 13 seconds was. And surprise it was bad defensive coaching….
  22. Every single check down is 5-10 yards. We never do that
  23. It’s rough watching Burrow take checkdowns every single damn play and they always end up with 5-10 yards and we’ve got 3rd and 2s and 3rd and shorts and it’s bombs. Even if the bombs are accurate just keep the drive moving
  24. There needs to be a better system in place than this absolute ridiculous “well the ref has to look down then up to see”. It’s a penalty that gets missed consistently. This is a multibillion dollar company. It is ridiculous
