When you watch the game each week, you pick up on little mannerisms and “tells”. Like watching other players at a poker table, you can pick up ticks or gestures that indicate what they are doing or about to do. I’ve been compiling various “tells” for the Bills the last six weeks and you’ll see what I’m talking about if you pause the game or watch closely:

    1) When Gabe Davis lines up wide, if he adjusts his helmet before snap, it’s a run play. The CB might as well run toward midfield.

    2) If Dion Dawkins pops his head to the left BEFORE the snap, it’s a passing play. He’s checking for DE’s position.

    3) Watch Josh Allen in the huddle. If he’s illustrating the play with a lot of hand movement, five times out of 10 it’s an RPO. The defense knows this.

    4) On defense, take a look at Edmunds. If he positions his right hand on his knee/thigh area, he’ll drop in coverage. Pretty easy for the opposing QB to hand off through the G gap.

    5) Singletary…if he cheats his left foot to 11 o’clock, he’s gonna be pass blocking or running.

Our quality control coaches should do a better job so average Joe’s like me can’t figure this stuff out. Tell me if you pick out any more tomorrow or as the season progresses.

Have you picked up on any coaching ‘tells?’ Does McD clapping 37 times mean something different than say 20?

@Howard doesn’t appear to much anymore.  Always got a chuckle.  I’d love to know which TSW regulars maintain these parody accounts?

The poorly done ones belong to @Gugny or so I'm told.

I thought he could have easily run for good yardage if not first downs on both the first INT and the overthrow to Kumerow that kept them from running out the clock.

There were several times when I thought he could pick up decent yardage by taking off. Shows maturity, doesn't it? Baby Joshy would have taken off running irregardless of the circumstances. Mature Josh has a better feel for when it's needed and when he should chuck the ball.

Dude, just stop. I'm not bragging. Holy chit. Go back and read the replies.... for some reason there are a 2-3 of you who think I was bragging instead of asking for help from fellow fans. The rest think your type of reply is unwarranted.

I don’t usually start these threads but I’m pretty sick and tired of hearing about the Jests.  They have SUCKED for years so of course they’ve got a bunch of recent high draft picks on the roster.  Some of them look pretty decent.  The QB is not one of them.  Did anybody watch that game against the very mediocre Pats*** last week?  Sure, they had a pick-6 called back, but that was an ugly football game.

As long as the Bills don’t turn the ball over and give NJ any free points, this is yet another double-digit win.  Oh, and PLEASE put Flacco in, because the Bills might wind up with 10 sacks if that happens.

This is actually the third different place I have heard/read something like this from National Media with no rooting interests over the past few weeks.

I have to say I agree with this as it will take the other good teams A game to beat us while we play a C game...and even then we probably still have a shot.

The Bills seemingly are the only team that can stop themselves. If they don't turn the ball over and do stupid things, they are nearly impossible to beat.

    Thoughts?

So, what you’re saying is that the Bills are the best team in the NFL? I’ll take that, but I refuse to mention the”I” word.

A bored/disinterested effort v GB still yielded a win. We won’t have to worry about disinterest vs. better teams.

As I’ve said COUNTLESS times, I agree! ADAMS WAS WRONG! He was the MOST AND OVERWHELMINGLY WRONG.

I’m just saying camera guy is not like someone who was just sitting there minding his own business and got attacked.  Stepping in front of a football team coming off the field is very avoidable.  He helped to create this by putting himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Brain fart? New on the job? I don’t know. If that is a city street, Adams has the right of way. Camera guy screwed up, and Adams very badly overreacted.

    .

No, it's two guys at their place of work. In your mind one needs to be aware of his surroundings the other does not.  Really simple.

Indeed, so everyone needs to be smart. I’m not sure if you are talking about AJ or Adams, but the ref made an ill-advised move touching Epenesa from behind during a melee and the camera guy should not jump out in front of a player coming off the field in that situation. [Edit- I’d love to know what Epenesa said, so maybe he deserved ejection.]

I hate refs that try to make it about them. If done properly, they are nearly invisible. Same goes with the camera guy. We are not there for YOU, so stay out of the way. I won’t be too hard on him, as it seems to have been inadvertent, but he helped create that situation by making a poor decision.

That is why you look both ways before crossing the road. Quite simple.

    .

It is quite simple and 100% avoidable. Adams blew it and he'll pay a price. As others have said, you've chosen an odd hill to die on, but you be you.

If you have seen both angles you should realize that is simply not true. The guy went out in front of a player coming off the field after a rough loss. I’m still waiting for video that starts a couple seconds sooner, or from a different angle. WTF happened? WHY was he there in the first place?

Like the AJ Epenesa expulsion, don’t startle a worked up guy in his workplace.

Adams HAS admitted and is facing what is due. Camera guy needs to get real.

It was both of their workplaces, no?

Ok that looks MUCH less egregious.

He didn't hunt the camera man down, he was looking down then looked up the instant this dude crosses his path and he seems to reflexively push him away.

Sucks for Adams that this wasn't the angle initially posted as I think it would've changed the way this incident has been perceived.

Is that how you reflexively react as well when someone walks in front of you? Cause everyone I know either stops, or if they bump they reach out to steady the other person. Maybe I grew up in a pansy household?

  11. I’m sure this is discussed elsewhere, but too many pages to look through.

On the play where Pickett was sacked & hit w a 15 yard post play penalty Epenesa was also hit w a post possession 15 yarder. Why didn’t the Bills get the ball at the spot of the sack? Instead they were backed up. Seems like one penalty was ignored and one assessed. Why?

For those that always seem to not get what this thread is for, what did YOU do for a game day routine that affected the outcome of the game against the Steelers? I'll start...

I wore no Bills gear, but I did watch the game on my good TV, so I was a little worried through the first quarter that I may have screwed up.  Thankfully, it appears the "no Bills gear" is the trick.

    That’s easy. I was there.

Doc Brown: that was my immediate reaction watching on TV too!

The ref does not react to the elbow; he reacts to whatever Epenesa says to him.

Or it's a combination of the two, but without knowing what Epenesa says, we don't really know the story.

Not sure if TV showed anything, but Epenesa was heated about an earlier play. Didn’t catch anything in person but it was obvious he was pissed at one/more stillers & very animated with one official.  A few plays later he was tossed. Anyone have insight?
