  1. I don't think the Bills FO is in any way shape or form ready to give up on EJ, and never was ready to move on from him. They probably realize that with only 14 game starts under bad coaching that the guy needs to sit and develop properly is the reason he was working with 2nd & 3rd string. The FO needs to see what TT & Cassel have to offer for the upcoming season. If Cassel continues with his high completion / short passes stuff, and doesn't move the chains to score I can see him as the backup to either TT or EJ .
  2. I think things will change as teams game plan for what he can do, and it will take some really great skills / luck to be a successful running QB in the NFL. Newton has learned to be a decent pocket QB while Kaepernick & RG3 have not. Wilson is in a class all by himself. I think nobody really knows if TT can survive even a regular season game against a good defense, much less a season.
  3. Some in the Bills FO might want EJ gone. I think he earned a spot on the team tonight by moving that cast of scrubs down the field (despite the penalties) by getting a TD, and two point conversion
  4. Gee, if EJ can move the ball down the field with this cast of scrubs....
  5. Should we start praying now that none of the O line starters have an injury?
  6. Sad, and true with No run blocking, no pass blocking I'm surprised it isn't more of a jailbreak against EJ
  7. I started the guy almost every week last year, and won my PPR league. Of course my other WR's included Megatron,Jones, Edelman, & Sammy. He was Cams' go to guy in almost every situation. Now all they have is TE Greg Olsen.
  8. Surprise: John Miller 3rd round pick at RG. So far he has exceeded my expectations. Disappointing: Darby looked good in camp, and then not so good in a pre season game. Minor disappointment: explosive as the offense could be with all the superstars- McCoy- Watkins- Clay- Harvin.. I have yet to see that "could be" exciting offense. Hopefully we see it as the pre season games progress.
  9. Man, so true for me. I hated Ryan as the Jets HC, and was so happy the Bills made him look so feeble 2x last year. My favorite line from last season was we are going to play 1000% better in out second game against Buffalo. Needless to say they lost so badly 23-43. Now I'm rooting for him.
  10. No question the spotlight is now on Buffalo because of Rex Ryan. "If he wins in Buffalo, where coaching careers go to die, Ryan will see his name and clout grow exponentially bigger." This!
  11. If I'm not mistaken Rice started out that year with an injury, and no RB under OC Jim Caldwell did well that season. That was pre Gary Kubiak who built that good power run game last season. While I'm not very keen on signing a guy who beats up his girlfriend. That power run game must work or that offense is in real trouble from the start.
  12. Time to kick the tires on Ray Rice? The Bills gotta have a solid option at RB to make that ground and pound offense work!
  13. I know i'd feel better if they kept all three in any order. When I think of a running QB and then I look at RG3. Then a statuesque QB with his high completion, short passing game. Then I seem to remember he went 1-7 in one season with KC. And yes, cutting bait after only 14 starts seems really, really shortsighted.
  14. Some QB's need all the work they can get before the season starts
  15. Works for me, and looks about right.
  16. I agree with all of this! pre season is a good first game.
  17. . I still like him, and hope he gets a chance to improve with Buffalo.
  18. I noticed after reading the article they talk about the Bills WR's being explosive, and forget to mention Sammy! I hope he toasts them this Thur. "Many around the league will argue Buffalo has some of the most explosive offensive weapons in the entire NFL: LeSean McCoy, Percy Harvin and Robert Woods. Even tight end Charles Clay can make defensive backs miss with his speed."
