Poor red zone play.  Poor offensive line play, in the red zone especially.

that hold on andre smith hurt my soul.  Lil dirty deserved that td on primtetime.  Shame on you andre.

the Titans ability to pressure allen and our inability to pressure tannehill were the biggest factors in determining the game imo.

As crazy as it sounds.. I would have had less confidence in our D stopping Henry after a Makenzie TD  compared to confidence in our offense using up the rest of the clock with a game winning TD.

I would still say Ertz is a much better route runner. Knox is showing his upside though. Still a ways to go.

Lucky for us, Buffalo has the luxury to allow Knox to play and further develop his route running ability all season long. This team has always been about trajectory and improvement at every level.

  3. Remember when we used to be envious of the Brady taking team friendly deals... Well this entire team now wants to be in Buffalo, and stay together. I realize it sounds crazy, but McDermott legit built a family in Buffalo. No one wants to leave, they're all in it together. Buffalo will be on top as long as McDermott is there.

  4. It's great that we're getting calls.. but the whole point of our D-line is to be fresh.. This rotation is what will allow them to still be successful if the offense has an off day and the D needs to play a ton of snaps, or a KC type game shakes out. Thanks but no thanks.

Tired of this narrative that both RTP's were bad calls and that the refs equally sucked for both teams.

Roughing the Mahomes was called on #91 Ed Oliver. Despite the words coming out of Collinsworth's useless mouth the hit was neither late or illegal for "below or at the knees"

    1. The hit was not late as defined by the rule. Oliver had launched himself while Mahomes still had the ball and makes contact without taking any steps after the ball was released. "The Referee will use the release of the ball from the passer’s hand as his guideline that the passer is now fully protected; once a pass has been released by a passer, a rushing defender may make direct contact with the passer only up through the rusher’s first step after such release"

    2. The hit area was not illegal, Mahomes was in the air with neither foot on the ground, and Oliver was being "blocked/fouled" into a lower point of attack by the O-line(Oliver was held by the chiefs o-lineman and sort of tackled from behind). "A rushing defender is prohibited from forcibly hitting in the knee area or below a passer who has one or both feet on the ground, even if the initial contact is above the knee. It is not a foul if the defender is blocked (or fouled) into the passer and has no opportunity to avoid him".

#50 Rousseau also hit Mahomes on this play, and was technically late as he takes 2 steps. He was also blocked/fouled from behind by the chiefs o-line. Roussea basically just loosely wrapped up Mahomes's legs from behind and bumps his head into Mahomes butt. Not enough force or violence to it to constitute a penalty

Just to clarify, the Mahommes hit was fine, Allen hit was rightfully flagged?

With all due respect, I believe it was a make up call for the phantom holding call the play before.  No holding call then there is no need for Josh to be in that position and throw the pick.

The defender did drive his weight into Allen, so per the rules it was 100% warranted.

The phantom Offside should result in that official losing his job if there's not a warranted explanation.

  7. Refs were awful on both sides, but for SURE were a little more favorable towards the Chiefs. But rain delay, and playing in a very loud road game in arrowhead against a good team... I think what we felt throughout the game was enhanced due to us as fans. Outsiders watching this game come away with one conclusion... Bills domination of KC.

Agreed, it's a live ball as soon as it crosses 10 yards past the kicking team setup point. That being said I don't think he was even in a position to be able to reach it before the entire scrum reached the area where the ball ultimately landed. That ball basically went airborne and just dead hung for 1-2 seconds near the 25 yard line. When it finally became evident what was actually happening it would have been really dangerous to try and rush the scrum to make the catch. You really needed the hands team on the field for that kickoff in hindsight.

That's a good point. I think I heard that Hyde was on the field for the remaining kickoffs (wait were there any remaining kick-offs?)

But to that point, would we put the two ST blunders of the season on our ST coach? What's the consensus on Heath Farwell? I had to look up who our ST coach even was.
