I was working at the Canisius basketball camp - and the day after he got drafted, he was a guest instructor. Everybody was congratulating him, and I was thinking he's a 2nd rounder, he's probably not going to make it - or not amount to much. In high school, the other Robinson - Keith, who went to Notre Dame was better...............Wow - was I wrong. What a great career he had.
RIP

I will guess Peter Frampton because he has had a long relationship with him.
And, I'm guessing Boz Scaggs because they were college roommates at Wisc.

I feel for Detroit. That was worst case scenario for them. But I’m also kind of glad. There was a chance the top 3 picks from this draft all landed right in our division (Detroitx1 and Ottawa x2).
So now the teams left in our division that are in this play-in round are Toronto, Montreal and Florida. If any of those 3 fail to quality for the playoffs, they’ll get 12.5% odds at that #1 overall pick.
The other teams in the play-in round:
East- Pittsburgh, Carolina, NYI, NYR, Blue Jackets
West- Chicago, Calgary, Edmonton, Nashville, Arizona, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Minnesota
Thanks - great explanation!

It’ll go to one of the 8 teams that don’t make the 16 team playoff round. So if a team loses in this play-in round, they’ll get a chance at #1 overall. I believe each team gets a 1 in 8 chance iirc. So, for example, if Toronto doesn’t make the 16 team playoff round they’ll end up with a 1 in 8 shot at the #1 overall pick. It would be a f’ing nightmare if they added LaFreniere to Matthews, Marner, Tavares!
I’m hoping the pick goes out west somewhere.
Oh, I thought it was already slotted, like to whoever finishes in the tenth seed or whatever. So, they are going to have another ping pong thing or whatever they do?

What slot gets the pick?

Actually, his parents are pretty well matched. He is 5-11, she is 5-9.

I don’t think the birds can eat enough to matter too much. Flushing seeds away with too much water is probably more damaging. We have some new landscaping and I hand water often. The head I use has about 10 settings, everything from jet to mist. Too much water just washes seeds away.
Good luck!
Thanks! Same to you!

Got it in today, and it was just my level of tech that I was looking for. Easy enough for a dope like me to program it. Worked perfectly so far. Thanks everyone!

Do you have birds eating your seeds? Everytime I look at either place that got reseeded, I see at least one bird!

Something like this? You just put it in the line to the sprinkler.
Admittedly, I have no experience with this.
This looks like about my speed - what I was thinking of.
Do you have a brand name on that?

Yeah, I think I made the flooding mistake earlier today already!

Hose, sprinkler, timer on the microwave?
We have new stuff to and I’ve been hand watering pretty much daily. We also have an irrigation system, but getting established quickly is important.
Meaning make sure to water a lot right after the seeding?

We have two, one for the front yard (1/3 acre) and one for the back yard (1/2 acre). Both are made by Hunter; they look like this:
They are mounted in the garage and have wires going to a valve box (again, one for the front, one for the back). In each valve box is a manifold which distributes the water to 6 stations (3-4 sprinkler heads per station). The timer has multiple options to program it. The timers were never a problem. Our sprinkler heads are another story. We have manganese rich well water, and we have to clean them at least once a year. You have to do this on a warm summer day, because you will get wet.
Thanks! Do they make things that are lower tech? I just need it until the new grass seed grows.

I have to do a bunch of sprinkling every day at certain times for certain lengths - just had a bunch of work done...............I thought I wonder if there are timers, and there appear to be.................Does anybody have any experience with how they work and what to buy?

Usually we had one person who was just smoking weed or hash just to keep an eye on things... no one turning into a bird and flying off of the roof... stuff like that. I really doubt this story, the flashing alone would keep anyone from concentrating on anything, much less pitching a MLB game. Best example I can think of flashing is Grace in the Uncle Sam Blues vid from Woodstock.
What is flashing?
