1. Daimon Shelton will not be cut...

Joe burns will not be cut...Can play both FB/HB and ST

    608777

Neither of these guys had a major impact(positive anyways) on the 2005 Bills. Why would you consider them to be locks for the 2006 roster? So Burns can play RB, FB & ST...can he play any of them well? As far as Shelton goes, I saw enough of his half hearted blocking attempts in the preseason and regular season...good-bye and good riddance.

    Give somebody else a chance.

  2. Yes the guy may have a bit of an attitude, but the guy actually wants to play here. Buy letting him go you are just creating another hole for the bills to fill when they have enough already.

You say a "bit" of an attitude. I don't remember if he wouldn't come out of the game or he wouldn't go back in the game this past season, but any player that feels he can undermine the authority of the coaching staff, has no place on the team. It is irrelevent that the coaches he was feuding with are no longer with the team. If he did it before, he'll do it again.

PS As far as him wanting to play here in Buffalo, take off the blinders. Players will go wherever the most money is....period.

  3. In a weird and twisted way I miss having ICE on the board as well...say what you want about him, but he sure did cause chaos at times..sometimes bad...sometimes hilarious chaos

    607981

Ditto. At least ICE could talk football, unlike some of the new kids on the block who are only concerned with their avatars, typing all in caps or creating meaningless polls, one after another.

Nothing like ICE hopping from one side of the fence to another. :D

  4. I'm not sure where I heard this during the season, but Sam supposedly has a reputation for wearing out his welcome wherever he has been during his NFL career. The spats with JG and MM are enough to make me feel that IF the Bills can replace him, let's move on.

  5. Speaking of fat !@#$s, check this out! <_<  :)

Your first(and the original) fafu reference from last year...

Can't tell till they perform Tuesday, cause things can change fast, but I think it's safe to say that FaFu and Claynthony will be in the bottom 3. Right now, I'd guess Bo would join them, & Claynthony's gone.

    FAFU FAFU :doh::doh:

  6. I can't decide who I want to cheer for more from the group of 12 guys...The shaved headed rocker or the silver fox like Ray Charles impersonator. Guy can play the harmonica too.

This girl can sing, but I see some potential in her to be annoying. Not as much as Mikalyah from last year(nobody will every reach her level of wanting to punch her through the TV screen), but we will see...

  7. You know that was true, right? Schopp wouldn't admit the reason behind it, of course, but Tom Donahoe DID lock out GR -- including Simon, who wasn't even working there yet when the spit hit the fan.

    604398

I do realize it's true, but instead of trying to initiate talks to repair the relationship, all he did was carry on like a 5 year old who can't get his way.

  8. But, I think you start Holcomb and let Losman come in off the bench due to injury and hopefully run away with the job.  Holcomb doesnt stay healthy, so its likely he would be hurt at some point during the year.

    603650

In your scenario, if Losman is coming in off the bench during the regular season, that means he couldn't beat out Holcomb in the offseason. So what makes you believe the lightbulb would come on for JP in the middle of the season?

  9. His 70% completion percentage had me boiling.

    603378

First of all his completion was 67.4, but feel free to round it up as high as you would like. Beyond that, if you think that Holcomb is anything more than a good #2 career backup, think again. I didn't see much in his play last year to make me believe that I want this guy as the Bills starter for the 2006 season.

If Losman can't raise his play to a level where the Bills name him the starter, we lose on two counts...

1.Losman was more than likely a wasted draft pick.

2.The season rest on Holcombs shoulders(and arm).

  10. Jauron wants Losman, Holcomb to compete for starting job

    February 14, 2006

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- J.P. Losman won't be handed the Buffalo Bills starting quarterback job for next season. This time, he's going to have to earn it from Kelly Holcomb.

Newly hired coach Dick Jauron said he'll open the job to a competition this spring between Losman and Holcomb, the veteran journeyman with the hope of having a starter ready by the start of training camp.

How about Losman versus just about anybody BUT Holcomb. The thought of this guy being the starting QB for 2006, makes me want to fast forward through the 2006 season and right into 2007. 0:)

  11. UB's not gonna have a problem filling the position.

    603272

It's quality not quantity that matters. Are they going to fill the position...of course. Are they going to get someone of high quality at this point in the season. I doubt it.

I guess I just viewed AVP as a plus for UB and didn't want to see him jump ship one month into the job.

  12. I think AVP put the screws to UB on this one. If he didn't want the UB job and had his heart set on an NFL job(he was sniffing around Green Bay prior to the Bills opening), why not just stay with Murph until something opened up. I think the last thing Turner Gill needs as he tries to turn this program around is to have guys flip flopping on him. :(

  13. One more note to add to Promo's last post -- football seating probably wouldn't equal hockey seating. Not sure they'd even try to sell some of the upper deck, since you'd never be able to see the puck from up there.

    601435

Considering the boards would block part of your sight line in terms of following the puck, I would have to believe that the seats in the upper deck would be preferred over the end zone seats(especially the lower rows). But then again, I've always been a fan of the upper deck vantage point at RWS. :D
