West of Cleveland was cloudless @ times... Then a little later just high wispy cirrus clouds.
I took my glasses off for totality... Then hunting around on camera LCD and could find nothing but black... I forgot to take lens filter off! 4 minutes goes by fast when things are going wrong. I wish I clould have practiced this thing!😕
rule…first eclipse…just watch and experience. Second one play with your camera.

I did thr 2012 annual at Grand Canyon and 2027 total st grand Teton.
I was at my sisters friends in the 219/90 area. It was mostly cloudy.
I was in clear skies for 2012 and 2027.
2027 totality was a narrower band than this one where time was around 3:20 vs 3:45. at totality in 2017 it was more like a dimmer switch on an overhead light making it darker but you had horizon blue skies.
with it being overcast you can see the shadow coming and thrn dhafoe made it like midfle of the night thrn you could see something like a sunrise coming in the western ski.
I hope to be alive in 2044 and 2045 to see the eclipses. I’ll be in my mid 70s
the 2045 one in glacier. This is near the edge of totality and I have to check times and dunpositions if I want to do it from therr ve sunset in eastern montana/ western nd ( theodorecroosevelt rlt np)
the 2045 crosses the country through south/ central utah and Colorado hitting a bunch of national parks.
I plan on going to the 2026 eclipse in august in Spain.
others…the 2027 one will be a long one with sound 6:30 in totality. The longest possible is 7:32 in totality. This one hits far southern Spain, gilbtalter, north Morocco and it crosses nw to se Egypt
Nov 2030 there is one that crosses South Africa and Australia2033 one crosses Africa but it’s just off the coast of Ghana ( relatively sadder place to go for it)
in Xmas 2038 time one crosses Australia and New Zealand

In the wake of the Diggs trade, a friend had this reaction and came up with the scenario below. Curious to know what people think because it actually seems genuinely plausible to me, and I'd love it:
"A bunch of you know, I've been hoping since February that Beane would trade Diggs for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. The fact that he was able to get what should be a high end #2 in 2025 is great.
What Beane did was jettison the 4 receivers that caught the ball at a 63% clip & kept the 3 guys that collectively caught it at an 82% catch rate. Shakir, Cook & Kincaid we're all top 30 in the league in that category [incidentally, Cook was 81.5 percent for 8.2 yards/target]. Even after these 3 guys sign their 2nd contracts, they should all remain good values for most of the remainder of Allen's career.
Here's 4 relatively conservative projections for 2024
Targets Yards Yards/Target
Kincaid 110 800 7.3
Shakir 80 800 10
Samuel 90 750 8.3
All RBs 80 650 8.1
That equates to 3,000 yards on 360 targets. Allen has averaged 36 attempts per game over the past 4 years. 36x17=612 which leaves 252 targets for Wr1, Wr2, Wr5 & Knox. Allen has never thrown over 4,600 yards in his career. If he were to average 7.9 yards per attempt on the remaining 252 attempts, then he would have thrown for 5,000. Just for perspective, Shakir led the league in yards/target last year at 13.6. Aiyuk was 2nd at 12.8 & Diggs was a pedestrian 7.4, unlike 2020 when he was 9.2
For me, ideally Beane couples pick #28 & our 2025 2nd round pick to either trade for Aiyuk, or move up to get Brian Thomas Jr. Then, if he took our 2025 first round pick to trade back into the 2nd round to grab either Legette or McConkey, that would be nice. We'd have the fastest & most dynamic set of skill players in team history.
It sounds like we can easily create North of 60 million in cap space for 2025 & free up a bunch more room in 2026. That's a fantastic kicker to this Diggs trade, because it'll allow us to target multiple pro bowl free agents in the next couple of years. All of these factors combined, will allow us to compete with KC for the next 8 years & we'll be able to view this trade for what it is ... a prelude to a parade!"
Aijuk I would bnot trade thst for…
just sign him as a UFA if needed. Use thr pick to drsft a WR.

here is an outside the box idea.
28 and next years 1 to Dallas for CeeDee Lamb. Dallas has been dropping hints at not wanting to sign him long term with a possible rebuild next year with a new staff.
He is a do everything wr, extremely arrogant but he plays all the spots, is a YAC guy .....but he needs a monster contract. A rookie allows them to next year spend money on defense.
They need to take the 1st on WR for the low cap hit.

As we’ve established, Christmas Day is celebrated on a specific day (December 25th) every year, but NOT on a specific day of the week, like Wednesday.
So seeing as how this Sunday is Easter Sunday (always on a Sunday but NOT the same Sunday) can anyone tell us…without looking it up…..how is the date for Easter Sunday determined each year?
PS: It’s one of the few trivia questions that I actually know.
It has to do with first Sunday after full moon after spring equinox. Western church fixes spring for the 21st. Eastern Orthodox goes by the exact date. As a result, some years they can be very different.- 2

That was an outrageously low pay for KC to move up, for Mahomes yet.
No one's going to reciprocate for the Bills' try to move up, and this time the cost would be for a top 5 pick.
The deal closely matches the pick chart values.

expect the opponents to come out of the Amazon Thursday game and a preselected game for early Saturday game then they trade partners to play on Xmas. The other two Saturday games would come out of Sunday schedule flexing thrm.other option is two teams come out of a bye.
for example….. bills vs fins on thursday, rams vs Seahawks on Saturday set for 430 pm. They flex a 130 and 8 pm gsme.
then it’s bills/fins at Seahawks/ rams for Xmas at 3 pm and 630 pm. Bills snd fins both are on the road at rams snd seahawks.
or afc north vs nfc east this year so you could have
some combo thurs/ sst pairs playing on Wednesday
One week it’s balt vs eagles and pit vs Dallas then other week it’s pit- balt and Phil- dal

pits more Xmas Eve evening/ Xmas morning is the period.I see Xmas games occurring at 3-430 pm and 630-800 pm as their start time slots.

3 1sts would be a non-starter for us since it’s not a QB.
2 1sts & 2 2nds is a fair starting spot IMO. Even if we had to add something else
Bears at 9 for Nabers
Broncos at 12 for Odunze
Seahawks at 16 for Thomas Jr
Would be more realistic move ups for us
with Brady’s connections to LSU, I’d think Nabers or Thomas Jr would be the trade up targets.
Also Brady recruited Troy Franklin even though he didn’t end up at LSU
Recall KC trade up with buffalo…..
10 for 27+ late 3rd+1st following year

I disagree Young was well on his way to being amongst better DEs in the league and sustained a serious injury. Clowney just a guy that has great measurables that doesn't play up to them.
I agree…injuries killed his career and thrn thr lack of motivation playing for the Commandoes didn’t help.

Is it? If Justin Fields was any good the Chicago Bears a major market wouldn’t have gotten rid of him. I don’t see Justin Fields being a star. Is Field better than Kenny Pickett probably but there is a lot of who cares none of these guys are going to be the next Ben Roelisburger. The Pittsburgh Steelers are chasing a new franchise quarterback like the Buffalo Bills did when Jim Kelly retired. I don’t see anything the Steelers did that is better than what they had in Ben Roelisburger. It’s going to eventually cost Mike Tomlin his coaching job like it did with Bill Belichick when Tom Brady left the New England Patriots. You can’t win without an elite NFL franchise quarterback and unfortunately there is a short supply of franchise quarterbacks to go around. I think all these Steelers moves are a whole lot of nothing at the end of the day. The Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots are going to have some losing like other teams in the NFL with no franchise quarterback. It’s about time let the Patriots and Steelers fans have to go 13 years without playoffs. The Patriots and Steelers haven’t been scary bad in a long time and it’s time they start losing like everyone else in the NFL in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo
im not as dismissive on fields as others. Chicago has had numerous offense problems over the years. Hoe much do you blame the team? Similar with Pickett snd Steelers. How much of his development can be blamed on the system/staff? -

That seems like bad value for Houston, no? What do the charts say? Go from 23 to 42 for basically just a second round pick next year
It’s not
23(760) for 42(480)+ 2nd in 25 ( diff is 280 —non SB teams picks inn2nd are worth that)
as for the deal…those 2 picks get you 4OA. They need to add something to get #3. With it being for a QB it will likely be more. If you are drafting a QB in the st and expect them tostart you don’t trade next years 1st
some examples— Carolina traded their 1st this year to chicago
houston traded up in 2017 with Cleveland. Cleveland got 4OA in 2018 from Houston.
KC traded pick in 2018 to buffalo but they were not starting Mahomes that year ( other than last game when things were clinched) so Buffalo got a playoff team pick.

You can drsft IOL in 5 th or later rounds.

With Harty released and now Gabe signing with the Jags, what is the strategy/approach for WR? Are we going dumpster diving in Free Agency and then hoping we hit in the draft at WR?
Our current roster is Diggs, Shakir, Sherfield and Shorter (inactive all season). Currently not scaring anyone and probably in the bottom 10 as a WR group.
Anyone else uncomfortable? That’s a lot of pressure to hit on WR that is impactful in the draft! Do we trade up?
Thoughts or perspective on Beane’s approach?
Game day signing for the parking lot try outs….

I expect buffalo to start at home next season

I’d love to sign at $1M each. But we can’t afford whst he’d ask unless he’s willing to take 1 yr for a ring.

WRs turning into RBs with many replaceable unless there is something very special about them…then you keep them.
from financial cap structure you can’t pay high on two WRs unlesss you are riding rookie contracts elsewhere. Top WR wants thr high money, but are thry worth it.
