  1. If that is even somewhat close to the consensus of what NFL scouts think, we got a STEAL. "I don’t share the opinion that Cordy Glenn can be a left tackle, but he was a total steal at No. 41. He was on my final Big Board at No. 14. If the Bills move him inside (or to right tackle), he’ll succeed. Zebrie Sanders was also a steal in the sixth round." - Mel Kiper Prisco also believed Glenn was a 1st round talent. "I really liked the Bills getting Cordy Glenn in the second round. He had first-round ability and should be an immediate starter at left tackle." - Pete Prisco.
  2. IF Jake Long truly is available, I would give Miami our 1st Round Pick next season AND Leodis McKelvin. A 1st round pick is a valuable commodity but you have to remember that you are getting a proven player. An all star that would once and for all solidify our offensive line. Jake Long - Levitre - Wood - Urbik - Glenn ... would be a line for the ages.
  3. I think that was a key example of a team that doesn't follow BPA, showing why not following BPA is a poor idea. Kelly you're simply guessing. "Green Bay took all defensive players and there must have been an offensive player that was BPA when they picked and therefore they dont use BPA". Thats silly logic. You should read the ESPN article about the former Green Bay executive that said that Green Bay ALWAYS go by BPA even if it means taking a player at a position that theyre already strong. Their motto is "Trust the board". You think its plausible that the BPA is the same exact position 7 times in a row? I dont think so. As I said in the post you quoted, multiple NFL executives have said that most teams go by BPA.
  4. So if you have Ray Lewis, you pass over Patrick Willis because it's not a need? Absolutely not. BPA regardless of need. That is how great teams conduct their drafts. The Patriots have taken a QB multiple times over the past 10 years, even though they have had Brady. It's BPA.
  5. Those who believe that NFL teams don't go by BPA are being willfully ignorant. There are multiple examples of NFL personnel stating that they go by BPA directly.
  6. I would be really surprised if he started over any of our current LB's. Between Sheppard, Barnett, Morrison, Davis, and Merriman there isn't a lot of room to crack the starting lineup especially with us going back to a 4-3. I don't see him starting this year at all, unless there are significant injuries.
  7. Not bad. I've read a lot about him clocking a fast speed in the 40 but he doesn't play as fast off the edge. He's not a pass rusher by any means, and he is maxing out at 240 pounds so taking on Tackles would be tough. But he is fast laterally, so flying to the tackle is a strong suit. A lot of people saw him as a 3rd round pick, so we got a good value. I also like that he is a senior, so he has experience on his side.
  8. 2 picks to go and Massie is still there. There must be an off the field issue we dont know about.
  9. I have a friend who was a college football RB and attended Beebe's speed camp. One of the first things they said was that they can't teach speed, they can only help you to maximize what you have.
  10. You can never have too many good offensive lineman. You just can't. I would say Urbik is pretty entrenched at right guard. I would think if Glenn couldn't handle LT they would move him to RT and Hairston back to LT.
  11. Didn't have a game over 60 yards in his last 6 games...
  12. Yes he is. Randle is probably the best WR in this draft other than Blackmon. He'll be a 6-8 year quality #2 WR.
  13. Which is unfortunate, because he is probably the best WR in the draft other than Blackmon.
  14. Floyd would have been a big mistake. He is Josh Reed v2.0
  15. If Adams keeps falling, I wouldn't mind trading up and grabbing him. I'm not as high on Massie.
  16. Cordy will be starting game 1. He is a 1st round talent and it was surprising that he fell. Bills took him and it sparked a spree of OL picks. Don't feed the Toad troll.
  17. I dont think he would make a comment like that without talking with the Bills first. Looks like Hairston is going to RT.
