  1. I think what we should expect is an EVENTUAL starter on the outside, IF we do indeed take a WR at 28. Doesn't have to be right away. There are at least 6 Wr's that COULD be available when we pick that could fill that need. As we know or have learned, teams are going to end up really happy with about 3 of those 6, and NONE of us know who will live up to their projections and who won't.

BTJ, Mitchell, Franklin, Legette, Ladd and Coleman all fit that potential from what I have seen. Some are more physical than others... Some are better separators, etc. etc.

I felt like the M&T club was very business like as well.  I also hated that you couldn't open a window in there.  It was a very sterile environment to watch a football game.  Like... i was a little tipsy so at the time - a couple slices of ribeye was amazing.  But then the game started and we blew out Tennessee and it was just... not totally right in there.  Too many people didn't care about what was going on.

My company did an event for bills-KC in KC - and they combined the ticketing process with a sponsored tailgate event.  Get the business crap out of the way and then go into the game.

LOL that reminds me of a time before I had seasons, where my father got tix through work in a suite. It was a snow game (not too much, mind you) but I remember how cool it was with the food and all, but before long it all just felt really stale. Fortunately for this suite, I was able to slide the windows open and enjoy the true environment (and pissed many of the others in the suite off at the same time, LOL!)

I believe this is why the Bills are so secretive about PSLs in the rest of the stadium. It’s tougher to sell a $50k PSL when people know they are only $5k a level up or in the end zones. Maybe businesses won’t care, but some individuals might.

I think that too. And it makes me hopeful. But even 5k per seat where I am with 3 seats in the 300 level is going to be way too much for me to justify, and I am blessed have a pretty darn good job, etc. 1-2k per seat maximum is where my limit will be. We shall see!

This is why I’m team Coleman

He is certainly intriguing. I see him as a swing for the fences pick. Could blow up in our face, could be the 3rd or 4th best WR in the class.

I am team "whomever can be fill our X position within 2 years" guy, whether that's a big body guy or a great route runner (or both), unless a stud pass rusher or 3T falls way down to us.

I think there is a good chance.

For that reason I bought myself a Tre White jersey at Dave and Adam's when it hit the clearance for $16.99.    The white one's make good preseason or early season shirt for those hot days.   Passed on the Gabe/Poyer jerseys because I don't expect to see them in Buffalo anytime soon.   Well, maybe Gabe in a couple years after he gets cut.

That's funny, my gf cannot resist a good sale and bought me a Trey White jersey as well (home variety). Got it last week. :)

I have his goalie academy sweatshirt as well.

No, I think you’re not looking deep enough into it. Again no one answers the question why a highly talented athletic freak struggled to see the field for 4 out of his 5 years. The only thing people point to was he was a HS QB. Well I just pointed out there are hundreds of examples of this and no one wants to rebutt besides well it’s clear you want to disagree.

Can’t point to NFL talent, can’t point to a high level program at South Carolina. So it’s points to something else who knows but I lean towards struggles to process or learn a playbook since he’s so athletically gifted

And when he becomes a successful NFL starting WR, I can say I was right. Or when he doesn't, you can have that crown!

You're too dug in and wanting to debate for my blood.

Most of us that like Legette really like what we see on his film. Explosiveness that cannot be taught.

Regarding the QB thing, even at the ridiculously low pop-warner level that I've coached at, we put our most intelligent processors of information in the QB spot. You see it all over.

Move on from me gonzo, I'm not down with the debate...

I don't have a dog in the Legette fight because I don't know enough, but this scouting report does raise some red flags given what sort of player Beane says he wants a the position: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10095835-xavier-legette-nfl-draft-2024-scouting-report-for-south-carolina-wr

Yep they're all gonna have some of that where we are picking. There are flaws on AD Mitchell too (some say he takes plays off, not a hands plucker but more of a cradler, etc., size concerns on Worthy, heck Brian Thomas even shows limited routes ran in his critiques).

So what took him so long if he was incredibly talented and smart. It’s not like South Carolina had a ton of NFL level talent in front of him. Juice Wells will be drafted but not much beyond that. People don’t want to answer these questions.

There has to be some reason and it’s not he took a long time to learn the position because he was a HS QB. I would actually say and this is an assumption that he might lack intelligence to pick things up

I think you're going to deep with all this. Some of us like Legette more than you for the reasons we've listed  (all we can go off are the facts listed about these guys and the film we've seen) but we also won't be heartbroken if its someone else that the Bills take, even another position all together like if someone drops from the top 15. Nuff said really.

People make this case. There are a lot of QBs in HS who transition to other positions. He’s not special or some outlier when it comes to this. There are 100s of examples of this

Thats fine, but those 100's are mostly smart enough to play QB at some level. By the way, Beane said a lot more than just "they need to be versatile and smart". Legette may or may not be their pick at 28 but yes, some of us really like him for his strength, size, versatility and incredible explosiveness. His size to speed ratio is insane. Similarly, a lot of us like AD Mitchell... Heck, I could be happy with Franklin or even Worthy for other reasons.

He also has a ton of flaws in his game as well and will be pushing 24 when hes in the NFL his rookie season. If he was a guy who was 21 I would be more game for him but he's not. There are so many people here who are going to be highly disappointed when the Bills pass on him at 28.

He also played QB before playing WR, which is part of why he's out there at 24. And it also means he's smart enough to play QB at some level, which requires the intelligence BB is talking about.

  11. Legette is my 1st choice at 28 if Thomas is gone. He just pops on the field. But I wouldn’t be overly upset with the prospect of Worthy, who is a wr, not just a burner. Tackle at 60 makes sense from a depth of talent in this draft perspective, but I’d personally rather get a guy who will have a good shot to see the field year one in round 2.

  12. With some trading around...

Does anyone worry about Beane potentially boxing himself in at WR in the Draft?

Mack Hollins doesn't change the fact that this WR room, as currently constructed, is not very good.  We have a question mark at WR1..  Is he still a WR1, what level of WR1 as he clearly isn't the type to just take over a game no matter what.  We have a decent slot WR with some outside flex in Shakir.  And we now have a depth WR in Hollins.

This is a loaded WR class.. It's also one that has Tier 1 (Harrison, Odunze, Nabers) all gone in the Top 10 and the Tier 2 WR's potentially picked over by 28.

People seem to think we have all this draft ammo to move up in RD1.. We don't.  We have a lot of picks on Day 3... that's not moving us up much.

I really see us taking 2 WR's in the draft. I hope one of them is still around that is worthy of taking in rd. 1, but if not, we might have to go "back to back" rd. 2 and 4 since we don't have a 3, or try to jump into rd. 3 for the 2nd WR.

  14. Bills fans sweating this type of signing as an indicator that the team thinks he's gonna replace Gabe snaps or play a significant role are entertaining! There's more of them here than I thought, but I suppose that makes sense 🤣
