Other than her money (and her appearance, which by the way was much better before she hit the Botox bottle a little too young and too hard), she has the qualification of being a great communications person: she is said to have financed and had "creative input" into that jarringly awful RFK Jr. 30 second Super Bowl spot.

    What a joker.

Can we send him back to the Next Gen Kennedy scrapheap now?

I'm all for viable third party candidates, but I don't understand how anyone ever took RFK Jr. seriously.  The guy has been a loon for years.

Regarding the VP pick - she's a cutie. I'll give her that.

  2. We all knew this was coming, but ouch. Not sure how these prices are going to fly in the Buffalo market. It also really highlights the stupidity of not spending more and getting yourself a domed stadium. You're asking people to spend $20,00 to $50,000 for the right to sit and freeze in terrible weather for potentially three out of eight games on the schedule.

Allen will just run right past Poyer, he is probably faster than Poyer at this point.

This is probably the correct answer.  But in my imagination, Josh trucks him and then kind of trips up and goes down shortly after the hit.  Both guys get up, share a laugh and hug, and neither takes a shot to their ego.

I know it’s a business and all it just sucks, hate it, I get it but I hate it.

It being a big business is what allows guys like Tre to get rich beyond their wildest dreams.  The players understand this better than the fans.

Enjoy and appreciate these talents while they're here to entertain us.  Just don't get attached.

It just goes to show how badly he looked at the Combine that he's offering to essentially re-do it personally for us. Probably also speaks to how we view him at the moment that we're saying "yeah, gonna need you to do more than just a standard visit. We need to see the Combine was a mirage to consider you".

I would be surprised if he improves his times though, even if he was sick. He'll be in better health, but he also put on added mass. Which in and of itself is a good thing bc weighing in less than expected was one of the many disappointments from his weekend in Indy. But it could also negate the time he lost from being a little under the weather. Though if he's able to get the same 40 with added weight, that's a good thing.

More than the 40, he needs more than anything to improve his 10 yard split. Ranking dead last amongst all WR's at the Combine when his big trait is speed was staggering. Again, I worry that may just be what it is. He does hit high speeds as he gets down the field. But coming off the line, you wouldn't think he's as fast as he's supposed to be. It's strangely as if he has long speed, but not burst at the line.

If you've got the flu, it's going to significantly impact your performance.  I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a huge improvement during his workouts when healthy.

Question:  Did you see 'pure speed' in Harty?

Because when his number was called for the Bills last year, I thought he looked slow. @Buffalo716 what say you?

I thought the reason we started seeing Diggs trying to do some gadget stuff from the backfield was because Harty just couldn't get 'er done.

At times (the punt return and on a couple of downfield shots), but obviously not enough.  I think he has great top speed, but not great short area quickness, which is why he never really worked in that gadget or slot role.

Of recent BILLS receivers who would Samuel compare to? Gabe Davis? John Brown? Robert Woods? Or who?

It would seem he's some sort of amalgam of McKenzie (gadget and jet sweeps), Harty (pure speed) and Shakir (size and slot receiving chops).  So, he's not a #2, but he definitely fills a role.

  8. Can someone fill me in on why this is some great signing?  Guy has put up fairly pedestrian numbers in two different spots.  Not saying he won't be a contributor, but this giving me Jamison Crowder vibes.

  9. I like him, but he just can't stay healthy.  You sign him, he'll have a few big games and get your hopes up and then he'll get injured for half the season and be gone when you need him most.  Address this need with a young cheap option via the draft please.

  10. Not really digging all of the trash talk by fans in here.  Gabe was a good dude, good teammate, pretty good receiver and great blocker who provided us with a lot of fond memories on a cheap rookie 4th round contract.  Good luck to the young man.

    We missed him against KC.

He's a solid player, and still pretty young.  Good w/ this.

I agree.  I thought he was really starting to come on late in the season.  Plays with great energy.  Flies to the ball.  I like this signing.

I mean he can’t afford to bring in any talent to replace the talent that aged out, which is a bad place imo. Beane is now forced to hit on every pick he makes and every signing he does, which he has struggled with.

Don't we have 11 picks?  If he hits on every one of them, we're a dynasty in the making.  We just need to find two safeties, a kick returner and a center.  None of those need be big ticket items either.

Super interesting, but I bet those "hard to reach incentives" were attainable in Von's eyes, which is why he agreed to it.

The magic number for those incentives is 10.  Not 10 sacks, but a combination of 10 tackles or QB pressures.
