  1. I will be there with my daughter and two others. I am concerned about vaccination requirements.

Will our friend Eric be allowed to amend his policy for Hammer's Lot? It seems our Governor and Cuomo disagree on the criteria.

Also, with talk of one section for vaccinated and one for non-vaccinated fans, what happens to my four seats? 😐

It's time for my annual request of my friends at Two Bills Drive to sponsor me in a fund raiser to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

I do not post a lot anymore, but I have been lurking since day one of this web site. Hopefully we will meet for a Garbage Plate for the Home Opener again this year.

Many of you know I was diagnosed with MS way back in 1994, but thanks to advances in treatment that get better each year, I can live a relatively normal life. There was a time when a diagnosis of MS meant getting measured for a wheelchair, but things have greatly advanced sine then

Because of COVID-19 precautions, we will not be walking in large groups again this year. On May 15, 2021 we will be walking in a variety of ways to raise funds to help find the cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Since 2003 we have raised nearly $24,000 thanks to YOU! I would estimate that TBD has been responsible for close to 75% of the funds raised in the past.

Please support me by clicking on Family Rocks!

    Any amount helps!

100% of your donation goes to the MS Society.

God Bless and Thank you all!

    Nine Days Left!

Just BUMPing this post. As of today, including checks being processed Family Rocks has been sponsored for $621.00

Total since 2003 has exceeded $24,000 in sponsors!! Thank you. (link in quoted part of message if you want to sponsor me)

I have a dilemma today. My son has a 315 hockey game. We won't be home until nearly six. Watch the game on my phone as i keep time in the box and listen on Sat radio on the way home or try to go off the grid and watch it all when I get home?

    Option 2 - family first.

This is just my opinion, and it works for me.

I have been saying "Wait until next year since 1967!

Forget these stats, and name a team where you would rather the Bills play in their stadium.

I will take the Chiefs in Buffalo instead of their house any day! Personal mojo opinion!

Minnesota has a really cool stadium, with the glass roof. I don't like indoor football as much, but that one, with the end doors open, is almost like an outdoor venue

We lost a SB in Minneapolis.

Sal with the way back machine and similar weather coming to WNY. Check out the punt game. I’m pretty sure just putting the ball on the ground and farting in it’s general direction would’ve been more effective.

I was at that game in the lower end zone and the wind was blowing right at us! Weather went from rain to sleet to snow with brutal winds. It was still a fun game because I dressed warm and stayed dry. One of the punts went up in a nice arc and the wind just "slapped" it back to the punter!

exactly!!!!   Embrace the suck, its us against everyone. It isnt fair, but we are still going to go out there and get the job done.  Preach that ***** all damn day Coach, this type of situation is where the coaches earn their money.  im confident our coach will have these guys more than ready to go with a plan that will be successful

Isn't that the Bills fans unofficial motto? I have been waiting until next year since 1967.

I do not wish the virus on anyone,  but I REALLY do not want any Bills getting the virus because of economics!

It does add something, though I have found the games really weird.

There is nothing more boring than watching a sporting contest in front of a small crowd, or empty arena!

Picture a game in Miami with the usual half empty stadium of "Dolphins fans" vs. a game in KC with the place packed and everyone going nuts for the Chiefs.

If you are a neutral fan anyway, the crowd adds a lot of drama and atmosphere.

As I have said elsewhere, we are lucky to have NFL football at all, and I really did NOT think we would.

So we will see what it's all like.

We get our first taste tonight.

    from Yahoo sports:

"The wide availability of Thursday’s Chiefs home opener against the Houston Texans has been an eyebrow-raiser across the ticket market. Not only because the Chiefs are coming off a Super Bowl win after the 2019 season and feature league centerpiece Patrick Mahomes, but also because Thursday’s prime-time game represents the kickoff to the 2020 NFL season and Kansas City was planning to limit the crowd to 16,000 fans."

  9. Anyone have any luck with Spectrum DVR Cloud? I mostly just want to watch Bills games when it is convenient for me, and sometimes go back and watch a game more than once.

I have the Spectrum App on my Roku, but was wondering about DVR Cloud - another $5 a month for cheapest version.

  10. After the quarantine started, retirement lost a lot of its positives!

I used to go to the gym a few days a week, just to stay loose. I also would meet a friend for brunch about once a week, which kind of cancelled the benefit of the gym.  I was using our local library Maker's Lab to scan old photos and digitize VHS tapes.

My wife has a IN HOME daycare which continued since her work is essential. In the cold months, I pretty much self quarantined - everything was closed anyway.I spent quite a bit of time on Ancestry and virtually connected with a lot of family I did not know I had. About the time I was going to lose it, warmer weather got here so at least now I can spend lots of time outside. As NY loosens restrictions, we have had more opportunity to see friends and family.

The biggest problem is I gained a lot of weight that has mostly been related to lazy guy diet and no exercise. I am working on that now!

Be safe and well, my friends!

I think you are 100% correct.  I lost my job ~6 years ago (layoff) and it turned my entire life upside down.  Ruined me financially for years.  I've bounced back, but I am never comfortable.  I will never feel secure in a job again.  I'm not saying I have PTSD.  Just pointing out that this pandemic is going to alter a lot of lives.

Even people who've been able to collect unemployment (with the $600 weekly kicker) may be able to go back to jobs from which they've been furloughed, or find new employment when things open up.  But when the IRS wants their money come tax time, many are going to be in for a shock and find themselves going up against owing the government money.  It's not pretty.  Even with a payment plan, penalties continue to accrue.

This is going to affect a lot of people for a very long time in ways that are not physical-health related.  Sad times.

I lost my job of 27 years, when my company dissolved our department. I collected unemployment, worked contract jobs, part time, etc. But, it taught me that the company does not give a rats ass about you. No bitterness, it is about profit and loss. This just made me refocus that MY future was up to me, but it was a wacky decade getting through it all.

I worry about the kids who miss their friends or are NOT receptive to the home schooling on a tablet classroom. They do not understand and some may never completely recover! If they are lucky they are in a healthy home with good parenting.

  12. We were able to raise $1,122.62 this year!

Yvonne and me walked along a path and the beach at a Durand Eastman Park on Lake Ontario. The weather was perfect!

I did not think we would do this well with all the craziness going on right now, but I thank God for all the support.

Please be well and stay healthy!

    Love to all,

    Tom and Yvonne
