In whatever place these freakozoid athletes get to mentally, Allen has no choice but to get there with them. Jordan has it, Tiger has it, Nicklaus had it, Brady and Montana had it. I’m sure Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio had it. Recently, all three Tennis greats have it.

It’s all upstairs. There are ways we can tell that a great one has the instinct for winning championships. It’s how they talk, what they say, what they believe is happening, and how they lead the situation to reach the top — total belief in yourself to be the reason your team wins championships.

Athletes are insanely confident individuals. Even proven competent pros think they’re the very best at what they do, when they’re clearly not, usually because of physical limitations.

Allen has the physical talent to be in the historical sports best-of-the-best group, so he’ll have to find that mental place that gets him there. His, focus, concentration, and determination needs improvement.

How many super bowls did Uri Geller win, smart guy?

  2. I mean there is the high lead content in the water supply, exposure to heavy metals from the old steel mill.  Half of the mafia was born, played on, or went to school on current Superfund sites and the other half under high transmission power lines.  Whatever gray matter survived childhood has been under a constant assault from Rumpleminz and ice beer.  We're a special bunch.

Of all the BS takes on this forum, the “Mahomes wouldn’t be a winner in Buffalo” is probably the worst.  An unprovable, baseless take.  Just so sick of seeing it.

Allen was a bigger project than Mahomes coming out and he seems to have turned out just fine. I think Mahomes may have panned out as well in Buffalo.

What if open air stadiums result in more injuries?? Snow, rain, ice, Miami sun/humidity. Oh boy!! This thread could go for years.

Open air stadiums release major amounts of greenhouse gas relative to domes.  Look at a chart of CO2 levels and global temperatures since Franklin Field first opened at the turn of the 20th century. Its uncanny!!

    Come On Man!

Here's the real story.  Lamar won it in 2019 & his stats towered over Josh on paper.

    Lamar 2019:

    66.1% comp %, 36 TDs 9INTs, QB rating 83.0, 1206 rushing yards, 7 TDs.

    Josh 2019

    58.8 comp %, 20 TDs, 9 INTs, QB rating 49.4, 510 rushing yards, 9 TDs

I worded it poorly but Josh will have had two seasons significantly better than either of Lamar's MVP seasons with nothing to show for it.

2023 would be the worst MVP in a long time.

Allen and McCaffery deserve it over Lamar.

Its basically the "QB on the team with the best regular season record" award at this point.

i will never understand why wrestling is not more popular in this country.

it was some of the best experiences of my life and some of the hardest accomplishments i've ever done. from training in biddy programs as kid to training at univ of iowa as a teenager - learned A LOT.

Its a sport where points are awarded based on how far you can jam your thumb into your opponents butthole and you're wondering why it hasn't gained mainstream popularity?!?

Have a 1 lb ribeye from local butcher in the sous vide right not.  Will finish by searing and butter basting in a hot cast iron pan (looking for crust finish) rest for 5-10 minutes. Potatoes rubbed in olive oil are baking. Then adding a side salad.  If we went out somewhere this would be $100+ easily for the two of us.  Significantly less money to do it at home.

Once your steak has finished cooking throw the bag in an ice bath for a few minutes before searing.  Going straight from the bath to the cast iron doesn't give you much of a window to get that perfect steakhouse crust without going past your desired temp.   A couple of minutes in an ice bath usually gives me 4 minutes to get a perfect crust.  I go 1 minute per side then flip every 30 seconds.

Who out there thinks MVS, Hardman, CEH, and Toney are special?

Toney and Hardman outright lost them games as reserve players as did MVS.

CEH had 17 receptions for 188/1TD.

Rashee Rice had a gr3eat year as a rookie, but drafted after Kincaid. If the Bills wanted him, they could have had him. Shakir had a similarly impressive year on a lot less targets. Pacheco is a good not great RB who isn't a major passing game factor either at 44/244/2 compared to Cook's 44/445/4.

No one.  The Chiefs and Bills could both use an influx of talent.  A 1st ballet Hall of Fame tight end gives Chiefs skill position players the edge.

  10. This is just an "I liked a Dan Campbell interview I saw!" thread.

I miss the "we need a football czar! He should be about 7' tall and be able to hypnotize you with his eyes and dance all night" threads.

How many more weapons does he need? He had Diggs, Shakir, Kincaid, Cook, and even Knox. Who did Mahomes have besides Kelce?

There aren't many teams that have more passing weapons than us.

Besides the best TE of all time you mean?  Well, he had MVS, Rice, Hardman, Pacheco, CEH, Moore, and Toney.  No one but Bills fans think Shakir, Kincaid, and Knox are anything special.
