Maybe the old-timers were right back in the 30s, 40s, and 50s.  Lifting lots of weights may not be conducive to staying healthy and flexible enough to play baseball.

The wear and tear of a 162 game schedule, compared to the 17 game NFL season, IMO is more about flexibility and endurance and less about raw power.

Then again, I still love my 1920s/30s/40s/50s era Yankees when Pete Sheehy was the equipment manager and poor athletic training was the norm.

Full tar cigarettes, greenies, and a case of beer was all they needed to stay limber and fit back then.

  2. Okposo is a class act but its time for him to move on.  He was rarely the player we thought we were getting and I dont think he ever fully recovered from that strange post concussion episode.  I appreciate the way he always answered the bell and didn't shy away from the tough interviews.  I dont think we will miss his on ice contributions at all but I do worry that there is an absence of leadership in the locker room with his departure.

  3. Feb 2000 was officially the end of a competitive era and the signaling of a total rebuild.  Players who everyone thought would retire as Bills were unceremoniously cut. It was the hard realization that the sun had totally set on the super bowl era Bills.  What would come was anybody's guess (hint, it was bad).

Tuesday was another day.  Anyone of those moves considered alone would have been unsurprising.  Most of the shock was due to the manner in which the news dropped.  No windows have closed.  This may be a setback and there will likely be growing pains but the 2024-2025 Buffalo Bills will remain AFC East division favorites and super bowl contenders.

    Who's Hardy?

James Hardy, the Bills 2nd round draft pick out of Indiana.  Big guy with a wide catch radius.  I didn't think he was still on the roster since he hasn't played since 2009 and has been deceased for 8 years but Beane's negligence knows no bounds!!

It not the breed. It's the owner. But the same thing can be said about gun control.

It is the breed.  One breed is capable of killing a human being and the other isn't.  This is the heart of the discussion. Chihuahua and toy poodle attack discussion is just obfuscation.

I'm proud to have my American Staffordshire Terrier. @muppy and I know they are wonderful dogs. Ending the breeding of them is stupid and a mistake. I have been attacked and blood has been drawn by a former roommate's Chihuahua, never from my own dog and my sister's purebred pitties.

And those that disagree with Muppy and me, you're being racist. Racism is the demeaning of another based solely on their race/breed.

How many people died last year in chihuahua attacks? There is a reason why guns are regulated and not bananas despite the fact that a banana can and has been used as a weapon at least once.

I am not sure he is a very good Quarterback. He was the worst starter in football in 2022. He was slightly better in 2023 but still bottom 3rd.

But you are right about the locker room stuff. Some of what I have heard about Seattle was truly unbelievable. And you just have to hear how the guys off that team talk about him. Normally players will go to bat for a QB who helped them get a ring, however, with that squad their defense of Russ is always flimsy and conditional. Which makes the think I should believe the unbelievable.

    Please share.

Kids these days have no idea what we had to do for softcore porn.  These spoiled brats can just open an incognito browser on their phone and have access to terabytes of the most disgusting German scat fetish films ever made.

With this economy, Everyone’s salary is exploding. We have reached a new plateau where making 200k / year is considered lower middle class.  Middle class now is 500k a year and people are still struggling to afford living comfortably.

Is your benchmark a family of 20? These numbers are wildly off base.

  10. Tough night.  UPL had another strong game.  A few unlucky bounces, some questionable calls against, but the Sabres were largely outplayed particularly in the second period.  The PP is dreadfully bad and did very little with the chances they had.  The last 2 minutes were embarrassing.

Not sure what to think about Granato losing his ***** after Benson's penalty.  Maybe he got hauled down but hes too active with the stick and several officiating crews have called him on it.  Thats the way the game is called now.

    Can you show me this?

This is my friends dog who I sit for all the time he's out.  His vet lists him as a pitbull.  Everyone calls him a pitbull.  Guess what, not pitbull.  Blue Heeler, Boxer and weimaraner mix.

If this dog attacks anyone, it will be listed as a pitbull and it will contribute to the statistic of pitbulls.  It seems, every unidentified mixed breed is a pitbull.  At least that's what I am seeing.

    Dixie.jpg

Pits are the only breed that bite hard.  The other big dogs definitely don't.

And every big dog that is mixed is a pitbull in America.

Just read it again and take some time to ponder.  If you're still interested in the statistics on the reliability of statistics as interpreted through the lens of Jauronimo's truth scale, then I'll make something up and get back to you by Friday.

There probably isn’t a more inaccurate statistic out there.

Studies have shown that the statistics on pitbull attacks are among the most meaningful stats ever recorded.  Generally statistics are hazy at best or just flat out non-sensical.  But unlike climate change, immunization, crime, or even baseball, dog attack statistics have been proven to a 95% confidence interval which is 99.9% likely to be true on the Jauronimo scale.

This has been my advice as well. It's the classic cycle. Although I believe the bottom wont be that low this time. I think it will bottom out in the $40ks, mayyyyybe dip into the $30ks.

Either way, a good way to at least double your BTC bag.

I have more than doubled my bag over the past year and change by following my own advice posted in this thread.  At least one other person here has too.  I'm sure @Poleshifter's cRipple coin YOLO has performed just as well...

Isn't that last, bolded block of historic breakup analogies (old Brady/New England and of course the still-young effing Beatles) ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND HYPERBOLIC when applied to the "mutual parting of ways" of an obscure DB coach who hasn't generated squadoosh for genuine outside interest, and a successful-ish defense with multiple rising coaching talents? It's obscene. It's laughable.

Thats the point.  If teams move on from all time greats with no other motivation than its time for the player or team to move on, no hatred, scandal, or blow ups, then is it so crazy to think that an assistance coach might similarly move on.  There isn't always more to the story.

He isn't suggesting Butler is an all time great assistant to the regional defensive quality control specialist or that this move is franchise altering.

It was a guarantee once the pressure was off, this team would start to perform again. Saw the same thing last year...they  actually got themselves into a playoff position for a day..then went in the tank for about 3 weeks. Once everyone assumed they were dead, including themselves..they went on a great run to end the season.

They felt the pressure this season from the onset,  and played like it. Losing the two games out of the break was when we all knew, and they knew, they were cooked for a playoff spot.

    Pressure relieved....wins start to come.

My biggest fear is them winning these"meaningless games", as they did last year, and KA bringing the band back intact again next year, just as he did this year.

These false positives for this mentally weak team could be the death knell for next year too...

It worked for me post Krueger but its tough to get behind this narrative 3 years straight if they don't make the playoffs this year.  Its a nearly impossible pace to qualify.  Last year it was reasonable in February but they choked it away.

Hedera (HBAR), Stellar (XLM), and Cardano (ADA) Lead the Charge as ISO 20022-Compliant Cryptos That Could Partner With Central Banks

A new era in the financial technology world is upon us. On March 20, the world will transition to using ISO 20022 technology in financial communications, replacing SWIFT, and Hedera, Cardano, and Stellar are among the projects leading the march into this bold new world for crypto.

ISO 20022 is a new global protocol that financial entities will rely on to exchange financial messages securely. Previously, they have relied on SWIFT, which has been around for five decades. SWIFT came before most of today’s existing technology and can no longer keep up with the rapid advancements in the payments sector.

No one wants centralized crypto products.  Decentralization and anonymity are the soul of crypto currency.  Its their reason for existence.  Everything you espouse is the antithesis of crypto.  Its why cRipple coin is bust.  Its why Lumen is the same garbage.  Cardano may be compliant but its true purpose is next gen Ethereum.  Maybe it will get to that status but I doubt it.

If you want to make money, put it all in Bitcoin and look to sell around $100k.  Then wait until Bitcoin plummets back down to $20k and look to buy again wherever the new floor is established.  Rinse, wash, and repeat as necessary.
