  1. I am just curious if there is a way for the administrators to see how many followers of two bills drive are actually subscibers to the Buffalo News (paying for content)? I cant imagine there are many of us who are paying for that content; therefore these articles could be removed to save space. Maybe one of you kids can do a poll! Just a suggestion
  2. Now if we could just lock up Teddy Lehman, we will be all set
  3. I just wish the HALL OF FAMES in all sports would have a clear and concise definition of what it takes to get in. Reed and Carter should both be in no questions asked...are they going to be better 2, 3 10yrs from now when they do get in. Ralphs accomplishments all happened yrs ago with the biggest one happening in the early days of the AFL, why now in 2009 does he get in. Now here is a question Andre Reed or Terrel Owens (in the HOF)...if Owens quit now, not sure of all stats but I now total reception of 800. The media has an infatuation with the guy, so I would say the majority of National media would put Owens in over Reed in a heartbeat. Irvin got into the HALL based on solid stats but moreso based on that his teammates called him as a team leader (which I can not imagine), and kept them loose and together. Owens has the stats but definately in no sense of the word is a leader. It just seems that their are different criteria for different players, Reed was great over the middle and yards after catch, Carter was phenomal on the sidelines and scoring TD's what is more important.
  4. So I am an idiot, got to love when fellow Bills fans get on each other it is a thing of beauty. Peters is your classic "today athlete" you know I will play when I feel like playing, he holds out with 3 yrs on his deal, comes back the day before the season, plays ok at times (making the Pro Bowl was a fluke and will only get him more money), then once he has the Pro Bowl leverage and the fact the Bills had not renenogotiated by that point, misses a game or twp due to injury? All I am saying is the Bills do not need guys like this, yes it is a catch 22 having a player like that at a very crucial position, but he would be a very coveted player for some team. I again go back to the Dolphins, this Bills team is far and away more talented but look what they have done, granted it had to do a great deal with coaching, but we got what we got at that position.
  5. I live in the Carolina's and have seen him play and he is no Bruce Smith, takes plays off etc, there is no way this team can afford a guy like that, and secondly as other posters have noted, I can not see any top free agent even considering this team. I look at Tony Gonzalez and I still can not understand why he did not want to come to Buffalo...at that time they were 4-0 or 5-1, players talk and there must be a reason why he held firm on not going to the Bills, and unfortunately I think that is going to be a sign of things to come. I also think the Bills need only to look at the hated Dolphins and the way they did things...through the draft, trade Peters and get 1 or 2 draft picks + a starter, of course the stellar personelle dept needs to hit on those draft picks
  6. and if Cower goes to the Jets, any prediction on what year we will actually win a game in our own division with Parcells, Bellicheck and Cower. Ralph comes through again!!
  7. I think a combination of all mentioned, even if they were given "a choice" of 3 or 4 teams if the Bills had a choice you would think they would not have chosen Miami....or would they.
  8. that the Cowboys "Hand Picked" the Ravens as the team they wanted to close out Texas Stadium, as they apparently assumed that would be an easy win. I was just wondering why the Cowboys were allowed to choose who they wanted to play and the Bills say that they did not have any say on who they would play in Toronto???
  9. I think the fact that it wasn't a city like Miami or Atlanta is something that was kind of a hidden blessing in disguise," Clements said when talking about beginning his career in Buffalo, "I wasn't able to always go out, and I think that really helped me on the field Now I know as Bills fans we are very sensitive but this takes the cake! All the guy is saying is that it was beneficial to him as a person to not be in a city like that I do not see anything derogatory about Buffalo in his statement. Clements was/is mature enough as a person to realize that this was the best place for him. Here's what gets me mad as a former Western New Yorker: I was watching CSI NY a few weeks ago and they are interviewing a suspect and they ask him where he was for the past week, his response was Buffalo, they said anything unusual happen while you where there and he says "IT DIDN'T SNOW" Now that is slamming Buffalo, or the fact it snowed in back to back Steeler games yet not a big deal, but if it would have snowed on that Monday night in Buffalo it would have just added to the legacy.
