And for people complaining about how much NYS covered at 1.4 billion it was 60%, but current costs show it to be running close to 1.7 Billion or a nice 50/50 mix.

The final cost is going to end up probably over 2 Billion when done and the Pegula’s covering 60% and over 1 Billion of their own money.  The stadium is going to cost them nearly as much as the team did and the PSLs are only covering the initial fraction.

This most likely has nothing to do with the PSLs and everything to do with future plans and lack of buyers for other pieces like Sabres, Bandits, Rochester teams and the lack of health of poor Kim - all playing into some decisions that need to be planned for.

there is no lack of buyers for the Buffalo Sabres. That’s insane.

You mean the long time STH who benefited from the greatest deal in the history of professional sports for decades?  Those STH?

    Cry me a river, buddy.

People don’t understand that the Baltimore Ravens had PSL‘s back in the late 90s. Buffalo STHs have been the cat who caught the canary for the last 25+ years.

apologies, but my mind goes to what could go wrong. assuming the PSL will not be in your name. mixing money and family could be tricky. a simple side agreement in writing could protect your interests.

this is some of the advice I was looking for in what it should look like.

Based on @Kirby Jacksonmost recent club reservation @10 yd line, would verify section and if you and family member are good with that location then pick them up quickly before they end up being closer to the goal line.

One piece of advice that was told by a friend was not to split up the seats by name because it would be harder to resell if needed. Sounded legit.

  5. Unfortunately, the mirrorless lens lineup has a lot of holes in it. So they are much more expensive, but there are some good options and some average options. I’m not really sure there’s a perfect lineup of lenses to get quite yet.

  6. Watch this video and tell me what you think. This is the kind of lens (either one of the two) I would start with and shoot for six months. I would then evaluate my needs based upon the result. Was it good enough? Did it meet 50% of my needs? 90% of my needs? Do I need another lens or two to supplement this range? Do I need to sell it and take a different approach?

I take 90% of my pics outdoors in beautiful landscape scenery, typically many miles from roads so I want something light/compact in my pack but w/o sacrificing too much quality (e.g. I carry one of these instead of an actual tripod). I'm leaning toward mirrorless when I pull the trigger as that seems to be the future and I get the sense that you would also get better quality in a smaller package (that is not what she said). However I haven't used an actual SLR in 30yrs and was never that great with it, so I also need something that is virtually beginner level for me to learn on.

    Any suggestions?

You have a site online where you upload any of your results? If so, PM me; you don't want any of this rabble amateurishly mocking your work; I can be relied on for professional, elite-level mocking.

mirrorless is 100% the future. It’s the lightest, but it is also so expensive now. If you put a premium on weight, then you’re gonna pay for it.

On the other hand, you can get great deals on traditional used DSLR cameras as people sell their old gear and replace it with mirrorless. I pretty much buy everything used at one particular website. I will be unloading my old gear soon. I should’ve probably already done it last year.

this also really depends on what you mean by taking photographs outside. That could be wide angle landscapes, close-up shots of things 18 inches from you, or zooming in on wildlife far away. Or all three. Each will need different lenses.

I bought a canon R10 for my daughter. While not perfect for all occasions, it worked out really nice for her photographing soccer and football - even if it’s not really the best camera body for that application. There was only so much I was willing to spend. Lol

For outdoor still life, you can get incredible results with pretty much any camera body through the main manufacturers. Having the right glass is more important than the body. But most important is the skill of the photographer. Give a professional a point and shoot and a beginner a $10,000 rig and I will put my money on the professional every day.

    1. Photographer

    2. Glass

    3. Camera body

from there, my only personal experience is with Canon. While follow the Nikon lines, I’ve never purchased anything from them. Sony also has some intriguing sensors in their camera bodies.

For sports photography, I use a canon 7D mark II with a canon 70–200 F2.8 zoom lens. It works well for me.

Nah, if he was tied into a scope that's a level of commitment I'll never approach.

I feel like I'm getting better with depth, exposure, composition, color, etc and am ready to invest in an actual dslr or mirrorless camera, so just looking around for input from folks who know their business.

well, I know my business and I would be happy to discuss camera gear with you.

I probably have 5K worth of equipment of my own. Plus there’s those two pesky optics degrees that I have. Lol

Geebus, did you buy a plane this month?

I tried multiple manual exposures with an Iphone/tripod, but it simply wasn't happening.

Any guesses what kind of camera Joe was using? His diamond ring looks great and picking up the solar prominences is impressive.

this one is better. This was from the guy standing 10 feet behind me during totality. He had a reflective telescope with his camera attached to the back.

I don’t know exactly what each person used, but we’re texting back-and-forth and I can certainly ask if you’d like.

I hate this so much.  Best WR in franchise history.

Pegula and Beane choose the loser head coach over the star WR that called out his bull#### OC.

    God I hate this.

Beane had better find a great replacement

or you’re gonna trash him on a messageboard?

Sorry, that was sarcasm. Diggs was definitely always tradable. And not just tradable, advantageous for the receiving team. Diggs contract going forward for Houston is  middle of the pack for WR1 across the league and there is next to zero cap implication for them to move on from him at any point because of the restructure. And the delta for the Bills is $3M this year. That is it. Now they have some more cap freedom going forward.

Not to be a blowhard or specifically kick you in the shins, but this was explained over and over and over again by a lot of posters.

if you want to take the time and explain this in detail, and if it’s correct, we can pin it to the top of the board and close it.

I think it is a great idea.

    Just my 2 cents.

    1) go to chestnut ridge park and get one of the pavilions.  Everyone local can bring a different meal and all share. Pay the the liquor permit and then people can also drink you can sell and or distribute the shirts and other items there. You can also do a 50 50 raffle for bills gear. Proceeds of course go towards paying for the pavilion.

My mom was the psga secretary for 20 years and if you tell people where and when they we come. If you leave it up to the masses it may not ever get done.

The sense of entitlement among Bills fans is astonishing.

Which is worse? Pegula asking $50k for the best seats or Bills STHs who claim they are owed a lifetime of free dibs to the best seats in the house for eternity and only they can turn around and sell those seats for confiscatory rates to others?

This party seems like a awesome idea.  For a kinda newbie, I stalked this site for years before I joined, I know quite a few screen names.  Helluva drive for me as I am south of @machine gun kelly by an hour or more so I might be in the @Augie category and asking for a Wide Right Special.  I truly hope that there is that kinda option for those of us who wouldn't be able to make it.  Sure wish I knew about Hammers back in the day......I started my seasons in 1987 and stopped attending full time in 2010.

At any rate - this is an awesome idea!  Oh and I too am pushing into the 3rd quarter of life........what a drag it is getting old.....BUT!?!  Mothers Little Helper does help!

i’m not really sure what you’re saying here. Are you saying you’re able to come or not? I don’t know what a wide right special is.
