I mean, they were 6-2 on the road this year but where'd they go? Across the state three times, that's like an hour and ten minute flight. Then up to Boston, down to Miami, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Cleveland... and then Dallas was their longest trip. If any of those west coast games end up being back to back, I wouldn't be surprised if McDermott chose to keep the team out there for the whole week. It is just that sports are not national pursuits anymore. They are international big business. It is unrealistic to expect it to be like it was 20 or 30 years ago.
