I was having a conversation about "Captain Checkdown" Trent Edwards and with Nathan Peterman's retirement, it made me think, who was the least capable Bills QB to dress (and play) and why? My vote was for Billy Joe Hobert who openly admitted he didn't know the playbook and proceeded to get cut the next day. But there are a lot of good choices.

“Buffalo Bills signed former Kansas City Chiefs UDFA wide receiver Mac Dalena

The Buffalo Bills have made a transaction on June 1 — signing of wide receiver Mac Dalena.

He entered the NFL as a Kansas City Chiefs undrafted free agent signing in 2025 after a collegiate career at Fresno State. He spent time on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad a season ago and was a member of the New York Jets earlier this calendar year. ”

“Dalena spent five years at Fresno State — though he never registered a reception in his sophomore season — and finished his time with the Bulldogs having made 126 receptions for 1,761 yards with 13 receiving scores. As a senior in 2024, he caught 64 passes for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns.

Last year, in two preseason games for the Chiefs, Dalena caught two passes for nine yards.

At the 2025 Fresno State Pro Day, Dalena measured in at 5’9 5/8” and 180 pounds with 9 1/4” hands. He ran 4.43 with a 1.56 10-yard split in the 40-yard dash. Those would fall into the 73rd percentile and 41st percentile at the receiver position, respectively. Dalena also had a 38.5” vertical (68th), 125” broad jump (73rd), and a three-cone of 6.89 seconds (62nd).

Dalena’s athleticism makes him a semi-intriguing early June acquisition before minicamp and training camp in July.

Cornerback Daryl Porter Jr. was released as the corresponding move to the Dalena signing.”

Please let me know if you want to get together for the home opener this year. It doesn’t matter if you’ve gone to 1, 25 or if you have never attended one. Everyone’s welcome! Even if you don’t plan on going inside for the game.

With regards to this topic, I do not have any interest in people who are going and plan to het together elsewhere. Enjoy yourself, be safe, but do not talk about it in this topic.

I don’t want to officially speak for others, but I believe me, Jay Rosen, and Guffalo are definitely carrying on the tradition.

For those of you who regularly listen to Joe Marino's podcast you will understand the title. I thought the concept was interesting and a serious comment on Beane's roster and drafts. Clearly, Josh Allen is a great player and was a great draft choice. You might also argue that Diggs, at the time the Bills acquired him, was a great player.

However, who else has Beane added to the roster that really fits great vs very good? I bet you will struggle to come up with any names.

As we open a brand new stadium, we look back at the opening season for Rich Stadium. An absolute palace compared to the dilapidated War Memorial Stadium on Best Street in downtown Buffalo. Simpson led the League in rushing the previous year and Lou Saban kept adding bruising OL to bolster the rushing game. Side notes: I was in my seat in time to see Herb Mul-key return the initial KO in preseason for a TD because my uncle was a cop and his buddies in OP opened a path allowing us to race to the stadium and I celebrated my 18th birthday attending the Eagles game vs Roman Gabriel -yes, I’m very old.. with the Electric Company, we turned on the Juice! I’ll never forget how excited Van Miller got when Juice was hemmed in deep in the backfield vs the Colts only to see OJ slip, dip and scoot 70+ yards for a TD! Rookie QB Joe Ferguson had replaced Dennis Shaw and we went on a tear culminating in 3000 rushing yards and OJ’s 2003 yard season!

You gotta give it to Eric - he gets A-list guests from Bills perspective.

I didn't realize that Eric played with Jim in Buffalo. I'd guess Eric was a star whereas Jim was a nobody then.

And as we all guessed, Jim is a Rex Ryan disciple and he admitted it. Rex just lost it when he came to the Bills and lost the drive to work hard any more. It explains that Leonhard is going to be a player-coach in the way of letting them express fully of their views and he's try to guide and leverage their strength. And that matches what we have heard from the OTAs that those defensive players are excited that they are going to do what they do best.

I also liked Eric asking Jim the question of how to prepare for Allen and Joe Brady as the opponent. Unfortunately he didn't reveal too much there other than the motion and formation stuff. I'm pretty sure Jim spelled the beans on what Denver thought of Allen, especially on maximizing his weakness -- maybe the long ball accuracy is something Jim brought up to Allen as well.

Excluding Legends, you can bring back any player from the Bills, in his prime with us. But he has to be:

5 years retired from football (theoretically HOF eligible)

Not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Not on the Bills wall of Fame.

My initial answer was Kyle Williams. But I feel that it's only a matter of time before his name goes up on the wall.

How many games do you go to a year? I’m looking at the schedule and possibly only going to make 4 (and my yearly pilgrimage to Miami). The home Dolphins game is killing me because it’s so close to the Chiefs game. 😫

Despite his name in the title, this is not a McD thread. I felt compelled to post this because of how deeply it was effecting my fandom, to the extent I didn't even understand it. On one hand watching Allen and this great run we have had has been a ton of fun. I've been a fan since the Super Bowl years which is not long enough to see it all, but long enough to see a lot. Posting on this forum a long time, it says 2003 but before that I had another TBD account I lost the log in for so it dates back even further than that.

For 20+ years on TBD I have been a very positive poster. The last two years or so, completely negative, almost always at McD. Totally against who I am in normal life. Then over the last few months, outside of a few McD driven thread, basically right back to who I used to be. I even started to wonder myself if I was just turning into a bit of a bitter a-hole? That didn't flush with life where I was still light hearted with most things. But this singular issue was far more consuming then I could have known. Also knowing how many people feel different than I do on this subject, perhaps even some feeling just as strongly about his departure as I did regarding his tenure here.

I'm trying to think back if anything in this journey as a fan is even close to being as divisive to our fan base as this? The obvious one that comes to mind is Johnson and Flutie. Which I recall feeling much more neutral about, but I don't recall the message boards at the time. I'm also not a Buffalo native, so I don't have a local pulse from that time frame.

So the broader question is, is this the most divisive topic you have encountered in your time as a fan? If not, what would you say was? I'm also curious if others felt like me where they had this intensely negative view on a singular aspect of this team and it was sort of hurting them as far as being a fan. Can people relate to what I said, either about McD and how you felt or about another situation in Bills history that maybe felt similar?

This is always interesting. Here are the analytics projections heading into 2026: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48845972/2026-nfl-season-football-power-index-projections-super-bowl-chances-simulations

Big shoutout to the Pats for having the 14th best shot at the Super Bowl according to FPI. Looks like another fluke isn’t projected.
