  1. Past hour
  2. Tackling has changed across the entire sport at all levels over the last 20-30 years as an emphasis on player safety, awareness of risks, and officiating have all necessitated the change. Yes, the targeting rule is part of that legislation, but I don't believe it is the cause of those changes. The changes were already happening. I think it is an unnecessary rule and is more for the NCAA to point to to say they take player safety seriously rather than something that really moves the needle.
  3. Holv Sh!t! Where’s the Tylenol. I don’t think I’m winning another SB.
  4. Unfortunately 2026 draft is a year with no elite WRs…
  5. Absolutely. We chatted about it the other night.
  6. Ive told you this three times. I’ve linked the relevant docs several times. You can also google “Is it a violation of Geneva convention to kill survivors of a naval attack”? But I’m pretty sure you’ll find a reason not to.
  7. I am thinking about this. I believe I have an appropriate analogy. There is actually honesty in Facebook. Stay with me here. I recently purchased a Buon Appetito Pan de Queso Cheesecake at a Casey's (Convenience/Gas/EV charge) in Southern MO. I had been intrigued since I saw an review: "This might be the most Underrated Snack Sold at Casey"s" "Best Snack You've Never Tried". The company's webside describes it as "A cheesecake-inspired bread with a creamy cheese flavor. Perfect with a drizzle of honey for added sweetness". So I bought one and split it. Of course, leopards don't change their spots and Ol' Beck here had to Read the Ingredients. It contained "Natural Cheese Flavor" as the #10 ingredient, after Nonfat Dry Milk, Modified Food Starch, and Invert Sugar. Cheddar Cheese was #11. So yeah, there is actually honesty in Facebook, in approximately the same quantity as there is Cheese in Buon Appetito Pan de Queso Cheesecake. (It wasn't awful, decent flavor and texture but very sweet and not at all cheesy. Once was enough).
  8. I mean, if he wants to come and be a backup to Khalil Shakir and probably not be active unless he's hurt, sure. But I just don't see a place for him on the roster unless someone gets IR'ed. The only ones that made sense to make space was Elijah Moore released and Curtis Samuel to IR for Gabe Davis and Brandin Cooks. Coleman won't be released. He'll be given the year and if things don't change, he'll be moved in the off-season for a minimal return. Before anyone says "no one's trading us anything for him" - the same was said about Elam and we got more than what we expected. These kind of "change of scenery" trades happen all the time. And clearly, none of Khalil Shakir, Brandin Cooks, Josh Palmer, or Gabe Davis is going to be released for him. We only keep 7 when a WR is our core Return Specialist. That's for Mecole Hardman when he's back, if he's back, and Thielen won't be doing that. So, yeah, unless someone gets hurt - I don't see a place for him on the Active List on Sundays or even a spot for him on the Roster.
  9. ( slurring his words) " where's my drink? Who'm I talking to? Why are my pants wet? "
  10. There are jerks among the fans of every team in the league. I hope someone he knows saw him do it and calls him out. He needs to be shamed.
  11. Others have said recently, "The AFC is wide open this year." Really, it is the whole league this year. Not sure how the tie breakers shake out, but Chicago might be the #1 seed in the NFC right now. Just like NEW England, nobody foresaw that before the season started.
  12. Pats still favored to have the most wins in the entire league, yet Vegas still thinks they're frauds.
  13. I think a synopsis of what is being said here is: yep he totally could but man it’d be awesome for our other RBs to come on about this time of year and lighten his load and who cares about personal stats it’s all about the Ws
  14. IYHO an insensitive remark about a stolen towel is a lesser offense than wishing someone an early death and saying the world will be better off? Wow.
  15. Hoke, a DT on the Steelers for 11 years, talked extensively about the difficulty when playing 2 gap scheme against Cook - mainly his sudden change of direction in small space - like "I'm holding onto the O-Lineman seeing you in the left gap then next moment I don't see you at all." I remember Rex used to talk about Shady McCoy jumpcut you in a phone booth. Cook does that without a jump.
  16. My biggest concern regarding the New England game in 2 weeks is the fact that New England has a bye next weekend. I don't like the idea of New England's coaches having an extra week to put a game plan together, not to mention the game is in New England.
  17. Yeah, in the verb form it works as what you’re implying here. As far as it validating poor schlep as a colloquially alike meaning, it’s not even close. To be called a "poor schlep" is an expression combining Yiddish and English to describe a person who is seen as unfortunate, pitiable, clumsy, or ineffectual, often a chronic loser. I didn’t fall for your conn, he put down those Sabre folks rather clearly.
  18. Wait. What happened? Am I still on the Jets?
  19. I'm just hoping we can beat Bengals OR Pats right now.
  20. We face 2 of the top 10 rush defenses still (Browns and Patriots). Then again, we face the 24th and 25th rush defense still (Eagles and Jets) as well as the 31st ranked rush defense this week in Cincinnati. If he can have a HUGE game this week...175 yards...then I think he positions himself well. But he really needs to take advantage of the Bengals poor rush D this week.
  21. he hurt his hamstring against the steelers and could miss some time.... so there goes the pass rush if he misses games.
  22. Pats are operationally smooth. Top to bottom. Maye is so accurate. He has a multi Super Bowl champion OC. They have speed everywhere. We’re gonna get steamrolled in NE.
  23. James Cook's super power is his ability to get skinny in tight quarters. He does a lot of things well but that ability to get skinny allows him to make positive plays when it looks like there's nothing there.
  24. Well, we know from this game that if a team pukes all over themselves, the Pats can hold on to win at home. I don't think any more insights can be gleaned from this one.
