  2. I asked AI why people hate Wikipedia... This is what it gave me.šŸ˜†šŸ¤£ "People often hate due to fear of the unknown, insecurity, and a desire to protect their in-group from perceived threats. This intense aversion can stem from personal experiences, social conditioning, and emotional responses like anger and fear." AI is quoting Wikipedia!šŸ˜† "Understanding the Roots of Hate Fear of Differences One primary reason people hate is fear. When individuals encounter something or someone different from themselves, it can trigger feelings of insecurity and anxiety. This fear often leads to hostility towards those perceived as outsiders. In-Group vs. Out-Group Dynamics The in-group versus out-group theory explains that people tend to favor their own group while viewing outsiders as threats. This instinctual behavior is a survival mechanism, where love for one's group is accompanied by aggression towards others. Projection of Self-Hate People often project their own insecurities and undesirable traits onto others. This psychological phenomenon leads individuals to attack those they perceive as embodying what they dislike about themselves. By hating others, they deflect attention from their own flaws. Social and Cultural Influences Amplification Through Technology The rise of social media has made it easier for hate to spread. Online anonymity can lead to more aggressive behavior, as people feel less accountable for their actions. Hate often generates more engagement online, further fueling negative sentiments." Loneliness and Insecurity Many individuals who express hate do so out of feelings of loneliness and inadequacy. This emotional state can lead to a desire to lash out at others, creating a cycle of negativity that is hard to break. Conclusion Hate is a complex emotion rooted in fear, social dynamics, and personal insecurities. Understanding these factors can help in addressing and reducing hate in society." Add a simple ? to that question and you get this: "Reasons for Criticism of Wikipedia Lack of Authority and Reliability Wikipedia is not considered a primary source for research. Critics argue that the lack of authoritative oversight leads to unreliable information. The open editing model allows anyone to contribute, which can result in inaccuracies and misinformation. Systemic Bias Wikipedia has been accused of systemic bias, where certain viewpoints are favored over others, often unintentionally. This can lead to skewed representations of topics. Specific groups have organized campaigns to address perceived biases, such as the pro-Israel group CAMERA, which sought to correct what they viewed as inaccuracies in articles related to Israel. Content Issues Articles can be edited to reflect personal biases or agendas, leading to a lack of neutrality. This is particularly evident in politically sensitive topics. The quality of articles varies significantly, with some being well-researched while others are overly simplistic or incomplete. Community and Editing Practices The standard of debate among editors can be low, often devolving into squabbles rather than constructive discussions. This can hinder the improvement of articles. Some users feel that the editing process is dominated by a small group of active contributors, which can marginalize diverse perspectives. Exposure to Vandalism Wikipedia is vulnerable to vandalism, with a study indicating that a small percentage of articles contain damaged content. While many edits are quickly corrected, some misinformation can persist for a time. These factors contribute to the mixed feelings many have towards Wikipedia, despite its vast repository of information." Isn't this really everything in life?
  3. I will give you he had a nice game last week. But pretty good this season? That's a hard pass from me. And if it's at White...it's probably complete
  4. Gonna be a snowy one. Hopefully we can score more than 3 points in the first half this week.
  5. I can’t wait for the broadcast crew to act like this light snow is the blizzard of 77.
  6. VanDemark is a starting caliber NFL RT as well. This is the advantage of having great O-line depth….
  7. What he has, what he’s always had, cannot be taught or coached. We all saw the amazing physical talent at Wyoming and it was no wonder that he was being touted as a top 10 pick in 2017 had he opted to come out that year instead, but I didn’t truly appreciate his heart until his first start vs the Chargers. I mentioned it at the time, but I was convinced he was destined for a gold jacket on a play he threw an interception on; and while in the red zone to boot. Josh rolling to his right and waiting, waiting for someone to uncover as we’ve seen countless times since. This was special to me because he had Melvin Ingram draped on his back the last few yards and he never took his eyes off the play and uncorked a fastball into the end zone; again while dragging Ingram with him. I knew then and there he was gonna be a great one. Wrong Josh my a$$.
  8. The 5th year option on a low paying position that is critical to our success is a no brainer. Sure he’s had injuries. Who hasn’t. Look at SF, Detroit, The Ravens, etc.
  9. Tre has been pretty good this season. He was awesome last week.
  10. Snow is just BAU daily lake dribble. Well known from BUF ROC SYR. non issue. Will be live to see at last couple Ralph
  11. This will put me out of business with guys like @BringBackFergy & @Mike in Horseheads ! Oh well... Plan B: Funk & Wagnalls bookshelf edition!
  12. Wonder if Grable steps in. A lot of the film guys see a future starter in him.
  13. This whole week has been about the Bengals offense everywhere I have read or watched anything from national talking heads. The bills probably have spent the week hearing about burrow 24/7. Hopefully that motivates them. Its like the ravens playoff game last year and the whole week being about the ravens running game and then the Bills really ran the ball well and played pretty good against the run for the most of the game. Love to see a really energetic excited bills team today. They have to be as sick of hearing about burrow as we are.
  14. He's a good-not-great player who is highly injury prone. I'd prefer they trade him rather than get saddled with a large contract on a guy who never reaches his potential.
  15. the best ability is availability. guy is always hurt. in off-season he needs to really get that knee and hammy looked at.
  16. That would be nice. But can Vandermark needs reps. I could see dion gone in 3 yrs.
  17. LFG This is the healthiest our back 7 have been in a while. Hairston, Benford, and Bishop need to play well, and I think they're going to. Big W at home today behind our LBS, DBs, and running it down their throats.
  18. I'm pretty sure vandermark is playing right tackle. Sounds like grable is the swing tackle today.
  19. Tough one to predict--will likely come down to who wants it more. The Bengals may be hungrier, with Burrow back, and so fragile, both he and his team know that may not have many chances. But the Bills at home, with a resurgent defense and loud crowd should make the difference. Big game for this franchise I think--will their dominance in the AFC come to an end this year? Today? Brady finally realizes that without top quality wideouts he needs to actually use his other pass catchers more instead, including all of the running backs and the tight ends. Duh. And Shavers has a big day too. Bills 34, Bengals 24 But McD better have done this week what he clearly did last week--take complete control of ALL aspects of the defense during practice, game planning and then, today, the game calling. Looks like a completely different defense when he takes over, one that can propel the Bills to a championship. As opposed to the undisciplined unprepared mess that Babbich consistently puts on the field.
  20. Finding a way to win and keeping Kincaid healthy (along with everyone else for that matter) are the only things that matter today. Style points don't mean a thing at this time of the year, especially when you don't have a Playoff spot clinched. JUST FIND A WAY TO WIN!
  21. Largest contract ever. Five years five hundred million fully guaranteed.
  22. Good. Sit down and get healthy big guy!
  23. Dude has played 1 game at right tackle and he’d start on most teams? šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø He’s a good run blocker…. He needs lots of help in pass protection. Luckily the bengals will likely line up Myles Murphy against him and he’s been a jag. I am a little worried about Ossai though. I think he’s a nice pass rusher
