Survivor Pool Week 11.......Who Ya Got????
billieve420 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks a lot Carolina should have stuck with Denver. -
Epenesa, Sanders and Palmer having full practice designation is great to see and needed. Healthy Palmer will be more impactful than Gabe or Hardman. Like to see Shakir utilized more like ST Brown or Nacua. More crosser more down the field on early downs.

We are down to eight people left, and somehow I am still one of them! This is the first week where my pick will have to break one of my rules for making picks. I try to stay away from the Thursday game, Division games, and road teams if I can, but I am choosing between NE, Baltimore, SF, or Dallas. Right now, I'm leaning Dallas..... although they are a road team, they are playing Vegas and coming off a Bye Week....but this is the least confident pick I have made so far. Who ya got?????

Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills

1. Allen mindsight can get all screwed up. Speculating that it's his wife is silly. He's never developed the mindset for being a pro QB. He wears his emotions. His body language gets impacted. His confidence goes down. We have been seeing that for years with him. Better or worse, that is who he is probably going to be at this point when things aren't going well. 2. He's getting hit more and sacked more and pressure more than he ever has. Which impacts point number 1. I also can't draw a line to one thing as a reason for this. His % of throws occurring over 2.5 seconds is not higher this year. So it's easy to say, because he's holding it so long. But he's always held it a long time. He's always bailed pockets early. It's likely a combination of multiple things. 3. Situationally, he isn't being put in a place to be successful. He doesn't have a lot of help in the passing game and they don't lean on the passing game until a time in which the passing game is very vulnerable. Which then exacerbates all of it's issues. It's sort of like, lets run, lets throw screens, lets run again. Oh crap, we are down two scores. PASS! Well, we don't have great WR's and he's taking a lot of hits. So when he's had to throw the ball around, outside of Baltimore, the situation has not been very positive. It all looks reminiscent of the Texans game last year where he was literally getting killed. I love Josh Allen and can relate to him a lot as far as point one. I'm a fairly sensitive dude, I'm highly competitive, and when I make mistakes it impacts me. My expectations of myself are far greater than what others put on me. That is both a gift and a curse. We see that playing out in Josh when times aren't going well and it's a problem. It's not THE problem, but at his level, being perfect is not attainable and you have to have a short memory. As the leader of this team, you have to set an example for others and be consistent in that example. He has moments where he can overcomes things, but then we see the sulking again. Head down, frustrated, in his head. The team needs to a better job supporting him and helping his play enough to where this doesn't come up as much and he needs to do a better job reflecting on this and growing. He's not fighting his way into the NFL to make a name for himself anymore. He's the reigning MVP and he has time to focus on the mental side (which should also help his golf game as well).

Back in my day, pulling a Rapp was called a Terrell Edmunds. But we all gave him the benefit of the doubt because he's only 19 years old and he took away throws simply by existing. -
There are certain academic and course requirements for every degree. These are set by educators and others with experience in the specific field. Computer Science is not different. But I don't recall every needing any skills related to astrophysics in software development. The unemployment rate for recent computer science graduates is 6.1%. So there's no shortage of available American workers. The other aspect of the business is outsourcing. Which has eliminated more American jobs than any visa program. https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/us/gen-z-unemployment-rate-2025-computer-science-grads-face-one-of-the-highest-unemployment-rates-today-latest-job-market-news/articleshow/123418021.cms As the job market tightens the arguments for continuing to import large number of workers because of lack of domestic supply weakens.

so you think the election was stolen? you really don't think it was a giant tantrum by trump? this is what happened. a bunch of rednecks got together to protest a so called stolen election. they got there, got all riled up, and attacked the capital over a complete false pretense. no one forced them to be there. no one forced them to run into the capital and rip the place apart...all of this was done on their own free will. no dem told them to be there and do any of it. trump at any point could have calmed it down, but we all know he didn't want to. this wasn't a conspiracy...it was a giant tantrum because the president refused to admit he lost an election. if you want to feel the election was stolen, so be it. it still didn't mean j6 had to occur. the dems didn't put that together. that group of #######s did.

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good
Alphadawg7 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will say this - the first loss was our fault, they didn't out play us, we shot ourselves in the foot. Allen left a lot of offense on the field, Brady didn't call a good game, and execution was just not there. Had we played to what this offense is capable of, we win that game by multiple scores. And after KC, my expectation was to win the next one by multiple scores. But now, NE feels like they are gaining momentum and confidence and Buffalo is Jeckyl and Hyde this year. One thing for sure is Maye is playing at a very high level and they are well coached. I still think they are light on talent so they are still a bit overrated, but that is a team that reminds me of the Lions that were coming up under Dan Campbell to where they were on the doorstep of being a legit SB contender. If NE drafts well this year and makes some good moves in FA, we are going to be in a real battle for the foreseeable future with them for the division. Meanwhile, too many times our team has looked like a rudderless ship out there on both sides of the ball. The defense has been better with McD taking over the play calling, even though it had some gaffs late against Miami, it more than did enough to win that game through most of the game despite all the pressure put on them by a putrid showing by Allen and the offense. My biggest concern is how Allens pocket presence, vision, decision making, and footwork have all been key issues in our losses. I think a lot of that has to do with Brady, Allen doesn't seem comfortable when the game plan is not working or executing. It almost feels like there are 2 sides of Josh tugging at itself when the offense is sputtering. Like a part of him that wants to stay on script and another that is trying to go into superman mode, and the battle is affecting his comfort. Just a thought, but it feels that way at times this season. Allen is obviously elite, so I have confidence he will get right. But my bigger concern is Brady, can he make the adjustments to figure this out and help Allen reset a bit and get back to being comfortable and confident back there. -
maybe Allen wants out. maybe hes tired of football. hes got his MVP. he probably thinks this team will never get a chance at a SB. hes rich, his wife is probably drilling into his head to take care of himself on the field so she has somebody in their right mind to retire with. he looks so unhappy and unenthused this season. probably nonsense, but these guys arent robots, theres more to their lives than football. i cant say i blame him if this is true. its just a guess though.

I saw an article that said he played a similar role for the Rams that Hoecht played, so most likely, yes. He has been a pretty productive player. He signed a 2 year $8.5 million deal with the Falcons before the season, but he was a surprise cut as part of a youth movement on Defense by the Falcons. Not sure why he was still available, but I am glad he was!

Should of been the case after the Atlanta loss! We do the same stuff every year. Come into these games completely unprepared and take losses that end up costing us the bye and home field throughout the playoffs. When are we really gonna learn?? It's all excuses to me at this point. We really got whooped by one of the worst teams in the league on Sunday.

I wouldn't disagree. You also appointed a guy as a WR1 who isn't there yet, and may never ascend to that level. I'm not an arm-chair GM who likes to talk about woulda coulda shoulda - this is the team you have. You have to figure out how to get him going, benching him isn't going to just all of a sudden fix things - not to mention WHEN (not if, cuz lets be real they have terrible injury luck this year) he's called upon you want him to respond. Lining up WR1, and WR6 with the WR2 out is certainly "a choice". Palmer gets hurt and somehow we see shavers on more snaps than samuel and moore. The sub-package games that brady plays are challenging to get into a rhythm both as a passer and a receiver. Gimme the best guys, and make decisions based on if someone is tired - not because you prepared like 8 plays with samuel/moore in motion. You have a couple PS call-ups for gabe, you should get palmer back soon - then it becomes cut shavers once you run out of call-ups for gabe. Figure out the ST snaps after the fact. I just deleted it, between the "fans" who do nothing but complain and the "experts" who react to like 6 plays without actually watching the game it was just irritating me.

Battle for the Division: Bill and Pats remaining games poll.
50yrpatsfan replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the Bills win the rematch with NE and they end up with the same record (both possible), then the loss to Miami costs the Bills the division, assuming NE beats the Jets twice and Miami at home in December (which is likely).
