ah this is where I disagree because I think Hairston needs to get functionally stronger before he should become an every down starter. He's going to be a liability in the run game, he's going to struggle taking on WR blockers....he just needs to get stronger, and more durability that goes with it. Ideally, he's playing both inside/out (he's excellent in Zone) on passing downs.

Green Bay releasing CB Jaire Alexander
BillsFanForever19 replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a reason for that. There's two Starters on the Boundary and one starter in the Nickel. Teams don't have legitimate star quality caliber 4th CB's bc no one like Alexander is signing to be a Backup and you don't spend a 1st Round Pick on a guy to be a Backup before you even get to Training Camp. -
I bet the Bills might have the least sacks in the league...oh wait nevermind Agree on the OL.....which helps bring out Cook's best traits and allows him to make explosive plays.....but another RB will also do well in this offense. All in all, knowing you should not pay everyone what their market is I am good letting Cook play out this year and drafting another guy on day 2 or 3 next year.

It certainly seems like Specter would be expendable in the minds of Beane and McDermott. Andreeson was a pleasant surprise, but whether or not he's good enough to depend on in the case of an extended injury to Bernard, I don't know, and I'm not sure anyone here does know. Ulofoshio is even more of a mystery. Apart from being on the short side, he has good measurables, but his scouting report stated he lacks speed and instincts. He barely got on the field on defense as a rookie with 4 total tackles. My guess is the Bills won't expect much from him in 2025. He needs to show a lot of growth in the mental aspect of playing professional defense before he's a factor in anything but special teams.

Network pricing to watch all NFL games in 2025
first_and_ten replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
You didn't get my point. My point is during a natural disaster, there are people who try to charge exorbitant prices for necessities like water. There is a reason that laws are in place to prevent this type of greed. It's called gouging. If a bottle of water costs $10, then people will only buy what they need? You're joking right? It seems your worldview is that everyone is an honest broker. It's just not reality. In the end, football doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Can I watch football and still believe the owners are greedy? Yes, the two things can be true at the same time. Let's agree to disagree. I'm not here to argue. I wish you nothing but the best. Go Bills!!! -

Just proof of how good a con man trump is. Musk, who has created Tesla, SpaceX and wealth will be attacked by a con man, and millions will support the con man....amazing -
We also have never had 4 corners the caliber of Benford, Johnson, Hairston (projected) and theoretically Jaire Alexander.

You have to cut them first. A 5th Round Pick (Hancock) and the #1 Pick in Round 6 (Strong) are no guarantees to be able to be brought back on the PS. I could easily see one or both scooped up if cut. Even if we were able to get them back, they could be poached at any time on the PS. You're playing with fire releasing Rookies before Late Round 6 or 7. We've never cut a player we've Drafted before Round 6 as a Rookie. I don't see any way that they Drafted both of those guys with no plan in mind and would move on from both. And again, even if I subscribed to that, that would mean we spent a 1st Round Pick on Maxwell Hairston to not really see the field unless there's an injury. Jaiire Alexander isn't signing with a team that he has to "compete" for a Starting job. We'd have to give him the starting gig or he'd sign somewhere else that would guarantee him that. -

don’t you prefer to see Hairston play ?

I think the bottom end of your range is more like the ceiling personally. He is a bit boom and bust Keon and I expect that to continue. He will have 2 or 3 big games and then others where he has 1 catch for 19 yards or something. I'd be absolutely fine with a year from Keon that is over 800 yards and 6 or 7 touchdowns. But it wouldn't change the way I feel about the Bills' need for a difference maker on the boundary. To be honest even a 1,000 yard season wouldn't. The same way I always pushed back against the "John Brown had a thousand yard season he is a number 1 receiver" narrative that got some push around here coming out of 2019.

Reading all the back and forth I’ll admit I’m confused. So you’all are saying the new stadium is NOT a dome? Why am I just hearing about this now?
