Call me crazy, but I think the Dolphins are going to be 9-7 going into their final game of the season vs the Pats. They are 4-1 in their last 5 games and their remaining schedule looks manageable.

Josh Allen should be the highest paid member of our organization. Aaron Kromer should be the second highest paid. No idea how he has not gotten poached yet but we need to make sure he has all possible raise and promotion opportunities in Buffalo so he never leaves.

I had a patellar tendon implant for an ACL tear about 30 years ago. I don't remember the number of pain pills prescribed but 25 seems reasonable. A bed sheet running over my knee was agonizing for several days, then the pain was only 7/10 for the next week. It was worth it. Can still ski.

Daniel’s was expected be good coming out of the draft but because of his size and playing style Injury was his big negative which is what happened this year.. he hasn’t been bad he has been injured.. Someone just pointed out that Stroud got away with a lot of turn over worthy plays his rookie year (I’ll believe their research) and Maye has played 25 games now and has broken a record for highest completion percentage EVER on his first 25 games.. that’s a decent sample size.. the difference this year? Competent coaching and he is playing smarter.

The problem is multi-faceted, but often the doctor shopper was hooked by a trusted medical professional who sold out for the money, or didn’t follow the trends and problems that in retrospect seems pretty obvious. Kudos to the good docs who avoided this whole mess. My dentist and I were speaking about this one day—he had torn an ACL or had some other knee issue, and his doc wrote some obscene amount of pills for pain. Can’t recall dosage but he got something like 25 pills in the prescription. He was stunned…and that was one script, one time long after I as a layman understood there was a problem. In the end, I we likely dealt with the tip of the iceberg worst offenders, and the finger being pointed at pharma gave offending physicians a finger to point away from themselves.

How does a fan or GM watch the playoff Chiefs loss and not want to pay Cook or make him a larger part of the offense? Again this judgement by the team is troubling. Coupled with thinking the WRs were good enough is damning.

Every game is different. And sometimes the result is unexpected. Look at the Rams on Sunday. Who had the Panthers here? Honestly, I thought the Bills were going to lose to Pittsburgh. So I didn't expect the Bills would be able to run all over the Steelers defense and I didn't expect the Bills defense to be so good against the run either. Maybe the 10 day mini-bye gave the defense time to iron out all their problems? If they perform down the stretch the same way then good things can happen. The Bengals are 31st against the run but seem to be trending up a bit. The Bills 30th and looking the same. And obviously their passing game with Burrow back and Higgins and Chase at WR will be superior to the Steelers offense. To win I expect the Bills will need to be efficient in the run game but the passing game needs to contribute a lot more. I'm not sure what the status is for Kincaid's availability, or Dawkins, Brown, Palmer, or how much a week more of time for Cooks to come up to speed on the offense will do. A big question is how the pass defense plays against top-end WR's. The weather forecast for Sunday is cold, cloudy, and not a lot of wind so that might not be a factor. I think its critical the passing game becomes at least functional before the playoffs to have a chance of advancing past the wild card round.

McDermott has to call the defense this week. The difference between Houston and last week against Pittsburgh is massive. Babich needs to take a back seat this week, let alone the rest of the year. If we want a shot at the Super Bowl it’s with McDermott calling the defense whether you like the guy or not. Also a win this week likely punches a bills postseason ticket. The bills would have to go 2-2 over their next 4, which is extremely do-able. 11-6 gets us in 100%, without tiebreakers over tons of teams, and with a lot of the teams in the mix having to play each other down the stretch. I mean heck, I think 10-7 gets us in too

They should really double down on this. Instead of Josh Allen and his pretty nice runs and occasional passes, why not invest a third of Allen's salary on a better than average receiver for Trubisky? Seems silly to have a Ferrari just sitting around if you prefer to hit the trails in your Jeep. I loved run first with Shady and Tyrod. It's mindbogglingly stupid with Allen, but hey who doesn't feel a tinge of nostalgia? This team is almost literally tying on hand behind its back and that one hand is attached to Josh's throwing arm. I liked the strategy against Pittsburgh, mostly because it wasn't broke and didn't need to be fixed, but making this an identity is only required because Brady can't design a good passing offense, McDermott doesn't seem to want him to, and Bean is on board with it all. All of this makes life harder for Kromer, Josh, Cook, and the whole rest of the organization.
