rationale discussion...with a patriots fan on a bills site where anonymous conversation generally occurs and i don't know you from adam. i guess that's...rational. if you'd like we can dance, though... i got time. your fanbase was so weak before brady the team was on the verge of moving due to a lack of community support and years of abysmal play just a few years after the highest paid player in nfl history led the team you cheer for to the superbr bowl for the first time...whom you quickly abandoned to celebrate a new improbable fella who was pure luck as he left his pregnant girlfriend, cheated multiple times, gave up his family for his career, and thus by most all measures was a pretty big failure as both a man and a person. now they've had a good season and the chests are full of wind... yeah, when it comes to giving a hooha what a patriots fan thinks that about starts the beginning of it... cheering for laundry loosely associated with the village we grew up in for such tribalistic rituals is all this place is for... sorry if i'm not enlightened enough for your entertainment...do better.

They have no plan that works when your starting wide receivers are a guy who just got cut by the worst team in the league and a guy who is being paid not to be in Jacksonville anymore. I'm not sure there is a plan that works for those players. And they are better than the guy your genius GM drafted two years ago as your future WR1. There is a reason the three leading receivers Sunday were James Cook, Ty Johnson and Dawson Knox. They are the guys Josh trusts to actually make a play for him. If Allen and Cook aren't doing it or are bottled up the offense fails because the rest of the "skill" guys are trash.

Ok I’m a pats fan STOOOOP with this Maye > Allen talk. Maye is a great young QB but he is not in an MVP and multiple playoff game winner in Allen category yet. Would I swap QB right now the homer in me says no but the football fan says Duh Allen with Our OC probably break records. The one thing I think Maye may be better than Allen right now is his deep ball accuracy. -

I wouldn’t be able to sleep having to rely on the airlines to be 100% on time Sun morning as to not screw up my plan getting to the stadium. -
He was sitting at the bar in the first scene. I'm not sure if he was in any other shots.

i'm very easy going, but i know when to discipline children. my bp is good. it's the cholesterol that i watch. i'm one of those guys who looks like they're in good shape, goes for a run and drops dead. i'm trying to avoid that. why does it bother you so bad that i have a nice life? i've worked hard for it. i'm sorry that things in your world may not have gone the way you wanted, but i shouldn't have to feel bad about that. do better.

They cant do this against most teams in the league. Especially a playoff game. PIT barely did anything to adjust and when they did stack the box they stopped the run.

I'm rooting for a tie, then an alien invasion where they are told the Chiefs are the greatest army in the world, so the aliens take them out. -

💯 agree! They are playing hard and for the most part they aren’t barely beating most of the teams they should beat they are dominating them.. been few games in this stretch I was worried they may lose outside of Cincy. -

He is legit, I know some Bills fans live in denial, but NE has turned the corner and have a good QB -
I am considered on this board a McDermott apologist, I consider myself a realist, but them's the breaks. I'll continue to believe the lack of top end talent around Josh has let us down more than the coaching. But this year has not been acceptable, in lots of ways, and I think depending on how it ends there is a very real case for making a change. I kind of get there through Beane though. I both believe these two are a package deal and believe that is how you should operate in the NFL UNLESS you have a stud General Manager who proves they should get the keys to the castle - and we do not. You hire a GM and a HC who are aligned and then you ride or die by them as a regime. I think Beane's seat should be red hot. And I mean red hot. He is the guy who has spent the least draft capital on receivers in the league during his reign, he went on the radio and very publicly owned that and ridiculed anyone who dared question it and he needs to be accountable for that failure. There is no case for retaining McDermott once you get to firing Brandon Beane IMO. If you are doing it, clean house and let a new regime have a shot with Josh's back 9. I, like you, doubt this happens this year unless they really collapse from here. But there are definitely situations where I can conceive of myself thinking it should.

Although you’ve touched on the point of resume, your take doesn’t really give enough weight to the context of their respective careers. Perhaps Maye’s performance looks better now, but this is typical of players having their breakout seasons. Josh Allen’s highlights from the 2020 season are insane, and it’s the season in which he had his most passing touchdowns and total touchdowns in a season. Patrick mahomes had 52 total tds in his second season, which he hasn’t really gotten close to since. Lamar had 43 his second season, which he only topped once (last year). Hell, I remember Carson Wentz looking like a future hall of farmer in his second season. Maye is looking great this year, but he doesn’t have years of having to adjust to defenses that have figured out his (and his OCs) tendencies, of playing against division rivals 10+ times, of having to push through the inevitable lulls of a NFL career. It’s not taking anything away from Maye, but takes like this completely disregard the context necessary to determine a qb’s performance.. And none of this even touches on the fact that in 3 of the 4 Bills games that were lost, they looked like a steaming pile of dog poop, top to bottom. All factors considered, I’d take Josh all day, this season or any other. -
I suspect Hawes is not only a great blocker, but considering he went to both Yale and Ga Tech, He's probably among the smartest guys on the entire roster. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns into a head coach somewhere along the line. I remember a mean tight end named Ditka was a pretty good coach at one time.

Pitt O looks beyond bad they look like NE O 2023 bad.. Ravens win easily Indy @ Jax that could go either way division games are always hard but I’m going Indy here Come on Denver wins in a cake walk.. Vegas is bad bad Miami v jets who cares! But I’ll say Jets just because Tua due for a 4 pick game again Houston v KC I am sadly going Houston that D scares me more than any team in the AFC I rather see the chiefs win but Mahomes gonna be running for his life.. -

The best thing the Patriots did (and this goes for Maye too) is hire Vrabel. The guy is a great coach and his players play HARD for him. They were ready to run through a wall last night. And Jackson dart felt it. -

Maye is legit, you could see it coming last season. But I don’t think they are as good as their record shows this season. Hopefully the Patriots rising will wake Beane up and realize we can’t coast to a division championship every year. Maybe this will make us better in the long run.
