I'm confused. Most fans here wanted to look at Vrabel, Harbaugh, and Sean Payton. Then later Ben Johnson. Soon to come Klint Kubiak. We were told we would be risking everything to consider such a thing. It seems more likely we have wasted several years out of fear of failure.

He had TERRIBLE quarterbacks. He had Tim Freaking Tebow in Denver, for chrissake. The Raiders 2022 offense was actually pretty good as well (12th in yards, 12th in points, 8th fewest turnovers surrendered), but their defense was awful (26th in yards, 28th in points, 32nd in turnovers forced). Regardless, if you are making an argument based on "blah-blah-blah BRADY" without looking at his scheming success (which should include this season), then I don't know what to tell you. There is not a coach in the NFL who doesn't think McDaniels is an elite OC. Not one.

The season needs to play out still. We could go all the way still. HOWEVER, if it doesn't look good and the offense struggles and we exit the playoffs early, especially if it's against an up and comer team and not KC again, do not be shocked if McDermott and Beane are let go and Brian Daboll is the new HC.

not having Hardman immediately for return ability alone would be a mistake IMO..... I also think just having him run go routes could help us a bit

Anyone who thinks Josh McDaniels is a joke doesn't really understand football. His ability when he was with Brady to dramatically and successfully shift game schemes based on opponent from week to week over the years is unmatched in recent history.

I’m sorry you’ve given up already, but you be you. I’m pretty sure the season is still ongoing. Time will tell. I don’t tolerate Divas and whiners very well. He made sure there was no way to keep him, just like his exit from the Vikings. I’m happier without him and his BS, and I don’t care what anyone else thinks of that. Period.

Perspective is sustained performance in the postseason, in high leverage situations, and being multiple enough on offense to win different ways. Who cares if we have an elite offense under situations when we can play ahead or control the ball or it is elite in the aggregate but fails when faced with less than ideal circumstances. All of these things will inevitably occur in the postseason. It goes back to building teams to win regular season games offensively and not postseason games. The Jets don't even have a starting caliber NFL QB. I'm not sure where the Jets fit in any conversation offensively, but they don't fit where you're trying to put them.

Yea if it's just Beane making the picks without input from the coaching staff then the whole thing is busted and needs to be blown up. But I have a strong suspicion that McDermott is the one with final say. Remember when he benched Cook for like half a season because of a single fumble?

Neither of them get us double digit sacks, so maybe you wanna fight them. I will say that for what we pay AJ, he's on a much better deal than Greg.
