Exactly. The good thing is that the Bills will need to keep up with how the Pats are evolving and cannot be complacent.
-
It always does.

Has Josh Allen put himself back in the race for MVP this year??
BillsVet replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
MVP awards are gradually becoming more about the sentiment of the player himself and less about their contribution to a team. It's like a company's stock which has street momentum, but may not be the best company itself financially. Josh became the popular choice last season, but cases could have been made for about 5 other QBs, Barkley, and Derrick Henry. I'd expect Stafford does get it barring a huge collapse for the reason @GunnerBill mentioned...it's like a career award. Besides, there aren't as many QBs in contention like there were last year. -
Totally reasonable. All of it. My view was based on sitting (standing) there for three hours and being wet (snow melts on you after awhile) and a little cold. But your “math” is just as fair on this one.

Colts to bring in ….. Philip Rivers for workout
BearNorth replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, he was at the desk on SNF pregame. He wouldn't make a pregame pick, but otherwise prepping for his after football gig. -
Yea agree, that would work.

Week 14 results Pick'em Cleveland, Tampa Bay and Baltimore hurt a lot of people this week. One-person, Mark_LBC, had the best picks with 11 correct. Sound Of Hobe continues to be #1, with a score of 141. Top 10 has opened up more, with an 7 point spread from 1 to 10. Survivor And we're down to two, Special K and Tom's Terrific Pick Set. Can either one manage to make it just 4 more weeks? Six people knocked out this week, due to Cleveland, Tampa Bay and Philadelphia.

So if I'm understanding correctly, what you're saying is that a loss to an NFC team will help our playoff chances

MNF: Eagles vs. Chargers (no Bills stuff please)
st pete gogolak replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tie would have given Eagles full two game lead over Dallas. Other than the Bills, they have cake finishing schedule. Shocked that they didn’t bleed the clock at the end of OT. Either score a game winning TD or kick the FG for the tie. -

...um... you come to a rivals board and throw up a white flag? we don't even know or care who you are... the combined record of the Patriots 3 uncommon games Buf: Texans, Chiefs, Eagles: 22-17 NE*: Titans, Raiders, Giants: 6-33 ya'll lost to the raiders and giants... the teams with winning records you beat that we played: bucs, panthers, steelers... Bills flogged all of them. the patriots shuld have lost to the falcons and the Bucs were a walking corpse. the first time the Bills played the Patriots the Bills got whooped and still almost overcame their mistakes. the patriots are good, sure. but they're not anywhere close to the dynasty they once had. these two teams are more equal than most realize in their abilities and potential. neither team must win this weekend to ensure or alter their future. also, on a personal note to you but sad since you're probably 22 years old... it's sad to me you're not about 10-15 years older to have supported the team when they were on the verge of moving because no one cared about the team. too bad they didn't have diehard fans like you back then... (now quick, name me 10 players from 2005-2012)

I hear you - I just believe the onside kick puts you in having to stop the Bills on 4 plays rather than 3. McDermott had already showed you he was willing to go for it on your side of the 50 multiple times. I don’t think McD pulls a Reid at his 30 and goes for it. So for the very slim chance you recover - your defense the weak link - would have had to come up with 4 big stop against the run as I think they go into heavy run mode. To me if it had been under 2 minutes or you had 0 timeouts - onside kick 100%, but you had 2 stops of the clock out of 3 potential plays - I want yardage to give me at minimum a Hail Mary to the endzone and potentially multiple shots. I get it - it’s slippery and the ball is hard, but that is also true on the punt return - so potential of a short punt or if the Bengals player catches it on the run of a nice return versus a high punt that the Bills can try to angle out of bounds or let bounce around.

https://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/afcstandings.html As of the conclusion of the Chargers - Eagles game, Chiefs now have a 95% probability of missing the playoffs.

Benford got beat on a play in the Texans game and ol boy saw red (maybe it was those horrendous Texans jerseys that sprung it) and decided to say that we shouldn’t have given Benford an extension in the game thread

BearNorth replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah but New England sneaked by us at our place, took care of Atlanta [and we didn't], and then we melted down in Miami. We need to win out and they need to drop I think three games as we have two division losses for us to win the division. -
I can't think of anything more festive.
-
@Boo Radley Boston we found you 😘

If New England wins (Next Week), they officially win the East.

when measuring the stick of these games to the likes of schedules we can see issues like: the 3 uncommon games between NE* and Buffalo: Buf: Texans, Chiefs, Eagles: 22-17 NE*: Titans, Raiders, Giants: 6-33 Of those the Patriots lost to the Steelers and the Giants - their record combined... Patriots losses: 9-17: 34% win rate Bills: 29-23 44% win rate The Bills strength of victory over better teams was also better - but i do not have the numbers in front of me. this was discussed on NFL Radio on sirius. the bills at the time of the the matchup have played tougher opponents with better records. somehow that matters (though, personally i don't think it does as much).
