Pats, Bills AFC championship game would drive me crazy with anxiety.

Drake Maye hasn’t even had the same OC for 2 seasons yet.. and DC are trying everything against him Blitzing putting max coverage etc.. so far nothing has consistently worked I give our OC credit for that. As for the schedule the difference so far is in Buffalo favor on the difference in schedule (you bet KC we lost to LV). People make it sound like it’s a HUGE different schedule the truth is both teams have had a cake schedule except for a couple of games. The Bills lost one of their cake games.

Saying the Pats won’t go on a playoff run is just wishful thinking. They aren’t a soft dome team like Indy. They look to me like they are more than capable of winning playoff games.

The Diggs drop was atrocious and I genuinely believed both the Bills and Diggs needed to move on But seeing the patriots like this with 2 former Bills catching passes (especially downfield) while we move the all behind the LOS stings a lot

See this shows how you haven’t seen much of Maye play. His completion percentage on long ball is over 74% and the fact you said that on a ball thrown perfectly is hilarious!! Also it’s an official stat but again showing lack of knowledge they call a pass defended when the guy literally drops the ball. But yet Again he lost the ball when he was putting it away he should have. Kept hold of it.. As for Diggs he considers himself elite if you have you hands on it you make the catch.. and he believes that too..

The Hollins part is tough to take. He really didn’t see the field much as a receiver for us last year, but now he’s a featured part of the offense in NE, along with our other cast-off, Diggs.

Went to bed after the 3rd Q. I knew the Jets wouldnt have the depth/quality to keep up and sadly that unfolded. The Pats offense at the moment looks way more polished than ours. Mcdaniels has created a very easy offense for Maye to succeed in and at least 1/2 of his passes were wide open easy tosses. What scares me is the other half of his game. Maye threw some great passes last night in tight windows and a perfect touch deep ball to Hollins that was broken up, in my opinion much better than Josh looks right now. He definitely doesnt have Josh's legs but his escapability is sometimes as good. Hard to stomach that the Pats lucked out with a Herbert clone (who looks better than Herbert). As for Diggs and Hollins, its salt in the wound. Diggs is a surprise because after that injury and the Meh year in Houston, I thought he was done but he looks pretty good. Hollins is taking off in NE where he left off with us. Letting him go was in the top 3 dumbest moves of the Beane era.

Not really. The Pats’ schedule advantage over Bills is from playing the Raiders instead of KC, Giants instead of Eagles, and Titans instead of Texans. Other than that, the schedules are the same. Pats lost to the Raiders and haven’t played the Giants yet, and the Bills haven’t played Philly or the Texans yet. The sad fact is that it’s going to get worse. The Pats still have three more seasons after this one before Maye’s rookie deal expires, even though he’ll get an extension after next season. The Bills, meanwhile, squandered Josh Allen’s cheap rookie contract years, by surrounding him with bad coaches and mediocre offensive weapons. In fairness, Maye was also more NFL-ready than Josh was coming out of a small school, but it’s a tough pill to swallow.

The Bills and Green Bay are not even comparable when it comes to value. Beane has the worst WR strategy in the NFL as he mostly fills the room with free agents in one of the top 3 most expensive positions in football. We have one WR we drafted in 2024 and one we drafted in 2022 on the roster lol. The other three are mid level free agents (making like $20 million combined this year lol) and a UDFA. If you look at our perennial competition the Chiefs and Ravens, they are down near Green Bay because they have drafted receivers recently. You can do everybody eats, but you have to draft WRs and eventually hit on one. You can’t do everyone eats and try to fill the room with other teams free agent cast offs. For the entire time we had Diggs, we never drafted another WR before the 4th round. So our passing game became more and more Diggs-centric as Smoke and Bease gave way to McKenzie, Crowder, Harty and Sheffield. So that when Diggs forced his way out, our WR production basically dropped to nothing. Aside from drafting Keon, the urgency to fix that has not been there and is the #1 reason I hope Beane is gone sooner than later.
