  1. Past hour
  2. Vinny Testaverde is stretching up now...
  3. I think Drake Maye has a really good chance, particularly if the Pats hold on to the AFCE and win a playoff game or two. You know who shouldn't be in the race anymore? Mahomes. He had a passing rater in a must-win game of 19.8.
  4. I saw that. Now I do grant that the LA Rams won a Superbowl playing 2 year retired Eric Weddle at Safety. But Phillip Rivers was not particularly mobile at any point in his career, and he was statuesque at the point where he retired.
  5. Favre. And, for someone upthread, when Marino blew out his Achilles I believe DeBerg played the majority of that year for the Dolphins at 44. EDIT - he might have been about 40 with the Dolphins, and back later with the Falcons at 44.
  6. how bad must Richardson be?
  7. I think the irsay gal is calling a lot of the shots. While she seems well intentioned, she's making some bad calls. I think she learned from her dad and is putting a lot of pressure on management and micromanaging. And I mean the sauce Gardener trade was terrible.
  8. I want a fun and good game with no major injuries on either side.. I think the game may come down to whichever OC can make adjustments after the D adjusts to whatever the Os throw at them.. So coaching going be huge IMO.
  9. I'm stunned they included two non-power conference teams. Personally I wish the playoff was only for conference champs.
  10. Individual award in a team sport. Weird personal rule to have. Peyton Manning also had 2 MVP's before his first SB.
  11. Yes, fair enough. It sounds like Kincaid didn't reaggravate his array of injuries, so watch for the Bills getting back to 3 TE sets.
  12. I feel like someone could yell to Higgins and the UNC: "You Lied! You All Lied!" https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-news-roundup-latest-league-updates-from-monday-dec-8 INJURIES WR Tee Higgins is in the league's concussion protocol after reporting symptoms after Sunday's loss to the Bills head coach Zac Taylor told reporters. The NFL and NFL Players Association released a joint statement obtained by NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe regarding Higgins' evaluation Sunday: "Tee Higgins was evaluated twice in game and cleared to return. After the game, in discussion with club medical personnel as part of a postgame evaluation, he notified the team he was experiencing symptoms and was immediately placed in the concussion protocol."
  13. The practice of sandbagging baseline testing probably actually started in collegiate sports and filtered up to the pros. The protocols for return to play and the research behind them originated from academic neuroscience programs at institutions with large sports programs. I know several of the researchers personally. When it’s really obvious, they have players redo the testing. Players also withhold information on the sidelines during the evaluations, and if they are lucid enough in the moment, they try avoid calling any attention to the fact that they hit their head. It’s easy to tell if someone loses consciousness, is posturing, has nystagmus, is ataxic, has motor instability, or is confused enough they can’t answer questions. Determining if they have a headache, ringing in their ears, dizziness, nausea, photophobia, etc relies on the player being forthcoming. It’s an imperfect system without a simple fix.
  14. Yet the teams receiving stats sit in or near the top 5 of almost every receiving category. Tied for 4th with 11.7 YDS per reception. 3rd with 8.2 YDS per passing attempt. 2nd with a 69.8 completion percentage. Tied for 4th in 1st down percentage per reception with a 56.7% Tied for 1st in the league with receptions of 20+ yards with 50. (Not bad for so many haters saying they can't stretch the field.) 3rd with receptions of 40 yards or more with 9. (Again, not bad for so many haters saying they can't stretch the field.) Tied for 7th in TD receptions with 22. Granted these are team stats the include the WR's, TE's, and RB's. But the point I am trying to make is that as a group, i don't think it is the disaster you claim. Yes #17 does have a hand in this obviously, but he can't throw it to himself. Well, technically he did once. Go Bills!!! And stop hating on our receivers!!!!
  15. It's a regular season award. Not a career accomplishment award
  16. I think typically the acc is better, and you would get a mwc team, or at least an oddball outlier like we have seen like the paxton Lynch n Illinois teams or coastal Carolina a few years back. The intent wasn't for the rule to open the door for 2 of those teams
  17. You could be right! But the Bills are a running team and the Pats have not given up a 100 yards rushing to a RB yet. The one part of the Bills O scares me is the TE as that is the weakness of the defense is covering TE. Again I expect a good game that could go anyway unless one of the teams doesn’t show up sharp..
  18. Might as well beg Andrew Luck while your at it
  19. Probably the first and only grandfather besides maybe some dude in 1948 who knows
  20. You're right I looked it up, his first grandchild was born in 2010 and that was also the last season he played.
  21. Because Luck would literally do anything at all other than take another NFL snap ever again, and understandably so.
  22. I will be pissed off if Allen is not voted to the pro bowl though. Yes it matters. That would be a complete joke
