Its OK for the Bills to be a run-first team
Gregg replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wish this offense was built more like the early 90's teams. They would run it with Thurman, but Kelly could also make big plays in the passing game with Reed and Lofton to throw too. Allen doesn't have that option. -
Hard-core cheering for the Texans. Unless they overtake the Jaguars they'll be coming to Buffalo in the playoffs. Road Houston and Home Buffalo who won't be on four days rest means that Thursday Night chaos won't repeat itself. Houston is not the same team on the road. People are really shell shocked by that Houston defense even though it was a road short week game. Short weeks favour the home team and the defensive team. Bills will adjust to that Houston defense. I dont predict anything more than 21 points but they'll adjust. Meanwhile that Houston offense is just straight up awful and it isn't gonna be easy for them in January in Buffalo. KC is hands down the most frightening team in the AFC if you're a Bills fan. You dont want them making the dance.

10 days ago the sky was falling because the Texans dominated the Bills offense. Now we're a Super Bowl team whose running game cannot be stopped. I'm always happy with a W but people have gone way too far overboard because of a bad Steelers team. The offense scored 19 points, even with all the running success. Luckily, Pittsburgh's offense is so bad they can barely score 1 TD per game. Against good teams with potent offenses that is going to be tough. -
Week 15, the SNF of Min at Dal seems like a candidate to be moved? I understand that Dallas is a big market. Agree on the week 16 SNF being changed.

Week 14 games with AFC playoff implications
TheFunPolice replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want KC in the playoffs and I want to slay the dragon. But there are some AWESOME weeks of football coming up for fans of the sport in general, in addition to a bunch of big games for the Bills. I've been saying it for weeks, but there are a lot of losses to be earned in the AFC coming up. So far, these teams at the top have been feeding on bottom feeders or NFC teams. But now someone has to lose these games, and the AFC playoff picture is going to become wide open. Everyone in the AFC can't stay with 3 or 4 losses when they all play each other, sometimes twice, in the next handful of weeks. -
I am a Michigan alumni. He was real good leading us to the Nat Championship. But again at Michigan we do not run a modern passing offense. He has the tools, arm strength, leadership, energy, and can move. But it remains to be seen if he can become the guy in Minnesota, or someplace else. Fingers crossed. Because I really like the kid. Its funny we used to pass the ball at Michigan a lot better. I was there from 83-87. And Harbaugh was our QB in 84-86. He broke his arm against MSU in 84. And we ended up 6-6. But played BYU in the Holiday Bowl when they had Robby Boscoe and won the Nat Championship after beating us. But their O lineman were holding us on every dropback. And then in 85 and 86 Harbaugh was chucking it all over the field. And was a gunslinger for that era. He ended up being drafted in the late 1st round after his career at Michigan. And was a good NFL starting QB. And then we had Brian Griese lead us to the 1997 Nat Championship. And he threw well for us. Especially out of play action. Think of a more mobile Jared Goff. And then Harbaugh comes and coaches us and we become ground and pound. (hope you appreciate some Michigan football history. Go Blue!!)

OD’s make me profoundly sad. -
Many times in new stadiums tailgating is discouraged or prohibited all together. Or they will greatly limit the tailgating area. One reason is they don't want drunk fans coming into the new stadium starting fights. Another reason is the NFL wants a wholesome experience so a family of 4 can enjoy the game without running into drunks who are starting fights or cussing in front of children Of course another reason is fans are forced to buy expensive concessions

Last night woke me up a bit as a fan. All season I've been sort of blah feeling. The games just haven't had the same juice for me. Then I'm watching the stupid Jaguars come back to beat the Cardinals and I'm slapping the floor in frustration while I watch Bills games like a zombie... It's been weird. But something about Foxborough, questionable refs, all the fawning over NE... it awoke a beautiful slumbering Patriot hate that had been dormant. I feel back in it as a fan. I want to see us go in there and smash their hopes and dreams, especially in the playoffs.

Week 14 games with AFC playoff implications

Now I know that Miami is very inconsistent but they have a pretty easy schedule down the stretch and they could legitimately make a run for the 7 spot if they get on a heater against their remaining schedule -
If they’re already yellow you’ll need to turn it up a notch to complete your sentence. The next time you go out to dinner, light up at the table and when the waitress tells you that you’re breaking a rule, tell her to “piss off” in a British accent. If it is a waiter you must say “piss off you wanker” but in an Indian accent to stir confusion. Finish 100% of the cigarette and accept whatever punishment is dished out by the mob without fighting back. When invoiced for ensuing medical bills, send back the remittance slip with no payment and the words “piss off” written across the paper. Accept the punishment for that as well.

I’m also okay with being a run first team as well. I just need this team to also be able to throw the ball in clutch situations that isn’t a screen or swing route to a Running back -

Same Play 29x's & Jackson Hawes

A lot of people are critical of the whole same play thing, I'm fine with it in rare occasions. OL beat up, QB beat up, can't stop it so just keep doing it. The worry is he will spam a playcall when it's not working, or in a critical moment when everyone knows it's coming. 4th and short, playoffs, I wonder what play they will call? -
