  1. Past hour
  2. Do the Bills MAKE a Super Bowl? Becuase considering this team's history that is very important, especially with this "greatest Bill of all time" talk. OJ Simpson and Bruce Smith exist, ya know.
  3. I can relate to a lot of things here and generally agree. This has been the bills identity under Brady since the middle of 2023. Will they get to the Superbowl? For me it's whether the bills defense vs the chiefs & Steelers shows up in January. It's always been that for me.
  4. Run first sounds fine until it isnt, then youre punting early and watching good teams shut it down and score. I'd prefer a pass first and run later, so you get comfortable leads first
  5. Allen running around and playing street ball.
  6. teef's business must be absolutely humming! 😂
  7. The ends justify the means. Had it not been that amazing three minute span by Bosa and Benford to open the second half, that score would have been much closer regardless of the time of possession or rush yards. Ultimately, I would have been content with the win, but if not for the defense we are having an entirely different conversation about the offense this week IMO. I liken it to people that watch MLB games for the deep balls or the NHL for the fights. People want to see the excitement. They want that 80 yard TD pass more than the 10 play 80 yard 7 minute long drive. We live in clip in a world where a 20 second clip on Twitter is what people want. Attention spans aren't long enough these days.
  8. Stroud's rookie year is the only one of those that is remotely comparable to Maye this year, and there were a lot of analytics that showed Stroud was getting away with a good amount of turnover luck and that sort of thing. I don't know what to tell people that are still trying to dismiss what Maye has done this year. He and Vrabel/McDaniels are going to be a problem for the next decade. The scary thing is they have a ton of cap space next year so what we're seeing this season is the floor. Don't be surprised if they add AJ Brown or a similar talent. They are probably overachieving this year relative to their talent, but that's what great coaching gets you and the talent is only going to get better.
  9. I like to live dangerously. You find some rocks to kick yet? There was a big one out by the highway, someone said it might be a pumpkin tho. Careful out there, fella. Don't pull a Younghoe Koo and kick the turf, aim for the rockpumpkin.
  10. Pete’s already walking it back
  11. I think Ben Johnson probably doesn't come here as the expectations would be way too high right out the box and for a first year HC Chicago was an excellent fit. Chicago had this off-season a QB with 3 years plus an option on a rookie deal, an extra high second round pick, tons of cap space, a solid level of overall talent, and all he had to do was win 8-10 games his first year to be a success. That's far better than Buffalo who would have Super Bowl expectations and limited cap and draft capital to implement what Ben Johnson would have wanted to do. So even had the Bills moved on from McD it isn't 100% they would have taken on Johnson. Overall I do agree that there's not many coaches that got hired since 2022 (the only time I think you could have reasonably fired McD was after 13 seconds) that I would have hired over McD. There's been a lot of bad hires since 2022.
  12. So, I agree with @NewEra that we missed the boat on the obviously better choices of Vrabel, Johnson, Payton, and Jim Harbaugh. And there arent any top tier candidates left to choose from. And that makes firing McD scary. However, I more so agree with your point that us fans dont need to have the answer ready. The point I always make in that regard is "No one here in December 2016 was talking about Sean McDermott". He was on the radar of a couple people (I think @GunnerBill and a maybe 1 or 2 other deep researchers). But the vast majority of current McD die-hards, who are scared of the risk of moving on, didnt even know the guy existed before we hired him. So let's take that leap and try to improve while we can.
  13. im not saying whether it's good or bad just that it's intentional
  14. There's some of that, which is good. There's a larger serving of "have to play this way". One dimensional is never good. We literally dont have the ability to throw to outside WRs. Thats never good. Its better to have something that can work in a game, or a script... trying to win 4 games with one tool in the bag and no others, is not ideal... also astronomical odds of being able to do it 4xs in the playoffs lol It is what it is. We dont have the personnel to fix it. We have no way of getting it either. Even a 70/30 split like this would be awesome. We dont have that.
  15. can we get a picture with the glass's off.
  16. The bills RBS had 19 for 123 vs the Texans... Cook was 17 for 116. For whatever reason Brady decided to do 34 drop backs with only 5 man protections with injured tackles.
  17. Why? there's zero chance the Bills played with the same intensity level vs Atlanta and Miami as they did vs KC and Pittsburgh. For whatever reason I think some of the established winning teams forget what got them there. and sometimes the underdogs just overwhelm the favorites with sheer energy, preparation and determination. Anyway, i just think this is a week KC will be dialed in as much as they have been all season. I'll be very impressed with Houston if they go in there and knock them off after the Indy and Bills wins.
  18. The problem I see with it is that the WRs are not catchers just additional blockers and on the field for that reason alone (which is why we can’t pass it). We are paying a guy or 2 big money to be a threat in the passing game just to clear out for the run. It’s a 1950s offense masquerading as a modern high scoring one. Josh Allen himself is nothing more than a threat in this scheme. It’s stupid and not a sustainable model for winning especially given the non complimentary Defensive philosophy—bend don’t break and hope for turnovers. If this was the plan all along, why why why not sign Cook first vs letting him be the last to be paid? In full it really makes me think they have no plans or ideas and are shooting from the hip patching it together this year.
  19. I picked Prater. As an old dude, I felt sorry for the guy. Us AARP'ers have to stick together 👴😀
  20. Well he tamed him whilst it was eating him, congratulations.
  21. The Bills have certainly had their issues, but have to wonder how our first game against the Pats would have gone sans the record number of flags thrown by Hochuli's crew and penalty yards that kept the Bills way behind the sticks through most of the game and negated so many positive plays. Fingers crossed we do not have that crew again, and let the chips fall where they may.
  22. There's some truth to this, but the playcalling is still ridiculous. They had a 3rd and 10 early in the game last week where all four receivers ran routes that were 4-7 yards short of the first-down marker. No other team does stuff like this, particularly with a good QB.
  23. Probably not. It's very rare that Chicago is this good late in the season & Green Bay has a national following too. The only other FOX top 10 tv markets with teams playing at 1 are Atlanta & DC, so Bills/Bengals will likely be a good lead-in for most of the country. The local Buffalo affiliates aren't happy though. CBS will have to air Broncos-Raiders at 4 (instead of likely Steelers/Ravens @ 1) & FOX will have a slightly smaller (but still massive) number at 1 instead of 425.
  24. Quiet dipsh*t. You previously described it as “the thinnest of margins”. Deranged.
  25. Nah...she could kick my ass a little too easy
