I don't think it's new. The clock stops when a runner goes out of bounds when it's under 5:00 minutes at the end of each half.

No, they've been doing that for a while to shorten games (and fit more commercials in). It does stop in the last 5:00 of the game. (and maybe the last 5:00 of the half?)

You do realize plenty of guys won two MVPs before they won a Super Bowl? Lamar is currently the only guy to have won 2 because all of the other guys won one before they got their third MVP. The actual rule in the NBA and NFL is nobody has ever won a 3rd MVP without winning a NBA championship or a Super Bowl. Not a real rule but how people vote on MVP’s for the most part. So as far as that goes, Allen could still get a 2nd MVP before he wins a Super Bowl. Just won’t be this year as I stated in an earlier post even if he played like he did yesterday the rest of the year, because he has too many turnovers already unless all of the other guys go on turnover sprees.

I would take a shot at him. We need WR and this is a way to get a look at a very talented WR on the cheap. Maybe he was just not challenged enough in Cincy to keep him focused. If he knows he is not suiting up for the next game and is always not suiting up it would piss me off too. Some people are wired to keep busy to keep out of trouble.
