Game week thread - Bills at Steelers

It is possible there's no elevations Grable to the 53 Inactives Brown Dawkins Mathis Bernard Ingram Franklin can also backup as your 5th outside linebacker -

Do you ever think about what a coincidence it is that the Bills got a great owner, a great HC, a great GM and a great QB all basically at the same time? LA will look mighty fine when Stafford hangs it up. -

Honestly, it seems like he’s missed 71% of the games. He’s invisible when he has been in there -
Bills fans, including those on this board, literally booed the Allen pick. Wrong Josh...remember that? The Bills are something like 108-66 since Pegula bought the team. They won 13 games last year and they've underachieved for years? Hopefully you get your way and Pegula sells both teams. You wont have to worry about having expectations because professional sports wont exist in Buffalo any longer.

Kill Everybody --- Illegal Order?

I can thankfully state I have never had anyone close to me die from drugs but I have no issue with elimination of the threat before it reaches us. i truly don't understand the thought process that prioritizes the life of a few foreign drug dealers over the lives of 1000s of relatively innocent Americans. -
Will the Bills Win another game on the Road this season?
DeepPass replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wanna bet on this? This will be loss #2 out of the 4 remaining away games! -
I'm not saying that he's faking injuries but in his NFL career, Samuel has played in 111 out of a possible 143 games which is 77.6% and averages to missing nearly 4 games per year. With the Bills he's 20 of 28 games which is 71.4% and averages to missing nearly 5 games per year. Obviously being placed on IR is gonna make those numbers even worse. His availability isn't the worst we've seen but it's been far from great. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires after this year. He's made nearly $57 million in the NFL.

Should the league change how it schedules games?
sven233 replied to McMuffin's topic in The Stadium Wall
As someone who loves the game of football more than the average fan, the more football I can watch, the better. But, player safety and the quality of the game is top of mind for me as well. Finding the right balance for everyone is tough. There are logistical things that get in the way of scheduling and possibly creating the best possible quality of the game. If they were to completely willing to blow up the way they do things, here's what I would love to see as a fan and as someone that wants to prevent injuries and improve the quality of the game. - 18 games with AT LEAST 2 Bye weeks. Quite honestly, I would be open to 3 Bye weeks if they were willing to extend the season/post season into March. - The only Thursday Night or Overseas games that are played are done so between teams coming off of a Bye. Adding a 2nd Bye, makes this easier, but in my mind, this is the main reason for adding a 3rd Bye week to make this even easier to do. - Each team would be limited to only 1 Thursday Night game and these games are limited to either out of conference games or Division games between teams that have an equal amount of rest going into it. Again, this is where adding a 3rd Bye would make this easier. Obviously, they will never add a 3rd Bye week. But, as a fan, I would welcome it for a lot of reasons. The first being player safety. The second would be the quality of the games.....the more the players are rested, the more likely it is they stay healthy. And for a more selfish reason, it would make the season longer and the offseason shorter. You would play to the middle of March. You could do the combine in early April, the Draft in May, OTAs in June, and then still get back for Camp in August. You can debate the need for a preseason game or 2, but they could start a bit later and push the whole season back a bit if needed. Not everyone is going to like this idea. Some will, some will hate it. It's fine. Regardless, it is never going to happen. We will see 18 games with maybe 2 Bye weeks at most and the same short weeks that we currently have. -
They made the playoffs ina. Year their brain trust intentionally started Nathan Peterman after trading away Mahomes. Yes. Be proud. Terry was the difference there all along. And there's nothing to hide from I'm extremely pissed off at how bad the Sabres are. I don't watch hockey at all anymore they've been so bad for so long. I'm also not going to wash Terry's undercarriage for doing what a trained monkey with a checkbook could have done with Josh Allen. The football team has underachieved for several years and now frankly isn't very good anymore. Sure they still win some and are better than the halcyon days of Gregg Williams but they aren't winning more this year than last and I struggle to see how the leadership has set them up for better success next year. They went all in and messed it up. This year is one and done at best and it's not just because they didn't sign any wide receivers this year.

Samuel is a china doll. Can not stay healthy. I hope he never sees the field again as a Bill. -
In 2020, the Buffalo offense under Brian Daboll was #2 overall, and in 2021, it was #3, #5 still under Daboll. Then, for an entire season in 2023, the offense was #3 overall. so, it did improve for a season. Then in 2024, the Buffalo offense scored more points that season than in the history of the franchise, while #2 in points, #10 in yards. So it did improve for that first season under both OCs. Not only did the offense score more points it also helped the QB control the turnovers in INTs/Fumbles. Josh Allen went from 18 INTs in 2023 to 6 in 2024, and from 7 fumbles to 5. While I get that defenses catch up to offenses and learn how to stop them somewhat, as with QBs. It doesn't change the fact that Brady went completely off normalcy with his offensive game plan against Houston. Much like he did with Atlanta, in knowing that both teams can bring great pressure to the QB in different ways. Four sacks & eight sacks, considering that Allen was only sacked 14 times in all of 2024. He already has 9 INTs this year and only 6 all of last year. Again, I have no idea where McDermott's mind is at right now. Perhaps he doesn't trust anyone else on his current staff to replace Brady with enough confidence in them to get Buffalo into the playoffs. Anyway, it is my opinion that Brady wants out of Buffalo or the Bills' HCing job for himself. If Brady reads this forum, he would see that so many posters here want McD gone. I had the impression that Dorsey wanted that too.

Yeah I would too but given the choice I'd rather have NFL games in February. -

I think there could come a point where teams will engage in major load management and not really care if they win or lose games. Might be better to manage loads and end up as a healthy WC than kill yourself and end up as an injured 1 seed. -
Sorry the Sabres suck. I am thankful he saved the Bills from being sold to an owner who would have moved them within a few years. They've had 2 losing seasons since he took over the team. Hes been more than lucky. They made the playoffs without Allen. Just be honest about it. You're one of the few people in the US who watches hockey and youre mad the Sabres suck. The NHL is a fringe league that averages about the same amount of viewers on average as the WNBA. He doesnt sink money into the team because its not worth it.

Well edmunds at age 13 skews the number a bit

The only part of this team that is worlds better since Terry bought it is the quarterback. Drop Josh Allen onto any number of the drought teams with great defenses and weapons but no QB and they'd be at least as successful as this team. Playoffs, no championships, no Super Bowl appearances. Give Allen Lee Evans, Eric Moulds and Peerless Price with Travis Henry to hand off to. No playoffs? How about with a defense that sacks opposing QBs 65 times in a year? Or Jim Schwartz's defense that Terry hired Rex to throw away. Allen is the difference. Not Terry.

But it's not realistic to think that Pegula would fire McDermott after a 13-4 season. -
Beane and McDemott were not his first hires and if you recall he hired McDermott first then Beane which is highly unusual. Then the chosen group traded away Patrick Mahomes. They got very fortunate with Allen the following year and how gone through a revolving door at offensive coordinator since because his chosen coach can't figure it out. From his perspective Terry got lucky with the football team and is now afraid to touch it. He did everything wrong with the hockey team and has given up. Beane and McDermott have jobs for life. It makes no difference how bad they mess up drafts or how badly they mishandle the talent around Allen. Neither one will be fired. Ever.
