Joe B article - Elijah Moore, Curtis Samuel, Gabe Davis
GunnerBill replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir has only really got open under this OC, Samuel likewise - his best success was under Joe Brady in Carolina. Moore has never been great at route running and getting open. That leaves you with Knox who they are just using a lot less in the pass game than 2 or 3 years ago and Diggs who did struggle back end of 2023, that's fair. I don't think he was fully healthy personally. -

Right, the “can’t get open” is so overplayed and has taken a life of its own. “Open” in the NFL is having a step or two on the defender. Not every QB gets to throw to college open players like Lamar Jackson. Whether it’s passing game design or Allen not pulling the trigger, the receivers in this offense, Brady’s offense, are not the best versions of themselves. It’s also no coincidence Diggs’ numbers plummeted once he took over for Dorsey. -
Right now I think it’s trust in WRs, system and himself. Brady’s O is getting predictable and every time I listen to him he talks about switching formations to get guys the same looks. So the goal is to give the same guys the same opportunities over and over again. Seems destined to fail at some point. Putting guys in different positions to make plays is way more stressful on defences.

Joe B ranking of all players through 9 games
oldmanfan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Time to replace guys. Milano, Taron, Poyer, Bernard, all have had other guys replacing them that play better. Hancock, Lewis and Hairston should be starting along with Williams and Thompson once he’s off the injury list. You may even want to start Buffalo Joe over Bernard at this point. On offense it might be getting near the time to replace Dawkins. -
thanks

Things that Stevie wonder could see and changes that are now a month late LBs should be 45 and 42 The nickel should be 39 the outside WR can’t be 0 -play 1 -elevate Davis -try Shakir on the outside -start 18 the backup RB should be Gore the starting corners on the outside 47 and 31 the safety’s should be 24 and 37 these are in house things that can and should have already been addressed stop with all the rotations, stop platooning people. Stop playing the guys that can’t run. Stop wasting everyone’s time. 0 7 8 21 22 27 all need to be removed from the equation. Bench, cut inactive idc but not starting and not playing. -
Sports gambling maybe?? Maybe a relative is indebted to the Real Mafia!! Unless its health related regarding Hailee, or a different family member, there really is no excuse to be that off mentally. He's a pro and getting paid a lot of money to do that job. His teammates, the fans that pay $200 or more for tickets are owed better than this. If he's out of it mentally than sit down and bring in Mitch.

Josh needs to use his leg from 1st Quarter, not when we are behind by 20 points. Even If he runs for small gain, it will open up the field.

Can anyone behin to imagine the pressure of being anointed the savior of this franchise and going through grueling losses in the regular season, to the postseason, and maybe the worst defeat ever in the 13 sec game Imagine year after year of this. Then imagine marrying a Hollywood starlet and then her speaking on their marriage to the media while dealing with what was mentioned above You've also seen how he's gone Hollywood as well...doing commercials out the wazoo while trying to be a great husband and stay at the absolute peak of his craft I'd say he's burned the F out and can't maintain his level of play week in and week out. Especially with a bad defense and a coaching staff that fails year in and year out when it matters most

Were We Running Into a Stacked Box?
st pete gogolak replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m glad I started the thread because a lot of interesting comments as to why you might WANT to run into a heavy box, especially with a runner like Cook who can make one guy miss and he’s off to the races. I get that but shouldn’t there also be a set number of pass plays designed to take advantage of the heavy box? Put Cook in motion, send Knox deep (which we know he can do)? -
Way too early look at the 2026 draft
BillsShredder83 replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really digging Chris Bell from Louisville as a realistic target. Mostly being projected in 2nd rd, but seems like a "riser" and could end up in 1st rd by draft time, especially if he continues to play well, have a good Senior Bowl week appearance 6'2" 220lbs 4.4'ish. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Chris-Bell-WR-Louisville -
He had 6.5 sacks in 2020… as a defensive back?

I never said it was a high bar.

He doesn't specifically comment on that, he does give Brady a lot of blame for this performance throughout the article though. On this play he says a QB sneak or run would have been the right choice which I agree with. But I think even some of his criticism of Brady is unfair. He keeps saying that Brady needed to lean on Cook more and that he got away from what has made our offense successful. I don't know what game Jim Kubiak watched, but in the one I watched the run blocking was garbage and Cook's ankle clearly wasn't entirely right. Not to mention we got down by 2 scores early so committing to the run wasn't really an option at that point. As I've said before, every fan and analyst is tripping over themselves trying to find solutions that don't exist with the current personnel. "Allen needs to play with more fire." "Brady needs to run Cook 30 times a game." "Give Elijah Moore more targets." These are all nice ideas but they're all ultimately circling the drain that is this WR room. It's like some people still don't want to admit that Beane just utterly failed to give his QB and his OC the tools to be successful. We thought we could replicate last year's performance without making a single meaningful change to the WR room or to the scheme, and the resulting failure we're seeing this year was entirely predictable.

You stay guys and your numbers.

This is my primary beef with 13 seconds (besides it happening in the first place). There were a lot of platitudes but no real accountability. McD basically said I’m not going to talk about it and let everyone assume it was the special teams coordinator. if Isiah McKenzie and Dunne are to be believed he actively participated in screwing that up.

Also might be former Panther HC John Fox's son...Beane playing 4D chess while these other Mofo's playing Tiddlywinks.

Jackson recorded exactly 0 stats this year on 30 defensive snaps- so it seems unlikely anyone who sees active game time for us could be any LESS productive than that, lol.
