9/10 times a 50 yard bomb down the field isn't complete, LMAO. It's a low percentage play even when things go perfectly. A pass with that many air yards happens like 10 times per season in the whole NFL. And it wasn't a drop, the DB punched the ball out. It is actually because Maye throws such a lofty catchable ball that the DB was able to make up 5 yards of ground to make the play. It's called a "pass defended" and is an official stat. And the Diggs "drop" was a highly difficulty play on a not perfectly accurate ball. You can't expect every circus catch not made to be considered a drop.

I think it's more than a narrative. I mean Joe is a good player. But he wasn't anything in college until he had Justin Jefferson and Chase to throw to. And he's been fortunate enough to have at least 2 top level WRs almost his entire NFL career. Flacco and even Browning in his first stint filling in did well.

And buffalo has 3 losses. Maye is in year 2. The season doesn't really start until Thanksgiving. Say what you want about bellicheat, but he's right about that. Buffalo is the stronger team built for December and January.

Buffalo was 6-6 in 23, Miami with better weapons was 9-3 In 21 the bills were 7-6, pats were 9-4 The past doesn't equal the future but I'm not really concerned unless they lose to Tampa. If they beat Tampa and lose on Thurs to the Texans, I'll still feel pretty good, especially with 10 days off We'll see what happens. Buffalo imo is better built for the long run as the weather gets colder. And even if the pats win the division, I still feel very strong that the bills will get to the AFC championship. I can't guarantee anything vs KC.

That's quite the rant. I'm not scared. It's possible the Pats win the division this year, but a lot of that has to do with having a 4th place division schedule. We've seen both Stroud and Daniels anointed as the next great QB both of the past 2 offseasons and both regressed with NFL defensive coordinators looking at the tape and game planning for them. In fact, we haven't even seen Maye put together an entire great season yet, talk about jumping the gun!

I'd be curious to know how FG attempts per drive has changed. With teams going so often on 4th I wouldn't be surprised if they are lower despite longer FGs. It really comes into play at the end of games where you don't have to worry about giving up the ball on your side of the field for a 60 yard FG.

Seems pretty straightforward. If the Bills win out they will win the division, if they drop a game they won't. Pats will likely drop at least one game outside of ours. Jets are their easiest matchup the rest of the year, so that's kind of 2 freebies.
