If Kelly had realized sooner, Thurman could have run 3 times as much and gotten 400 yards or more and we balance time of possession and win handily. Plus then they adjust to stop the run and the pass opens up. We blew it big time. Tackle Ingram on 3rd and 13 and we likely win. Or strip the ball from Hoss in the end zone and we win. Play that game 100 times we win 99 of them. Terrible.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*
TheFunPolice replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's been a cute story. Drake Maye for MVP! This week begins OUR march not to a midseason SNF championship, but to a SB championship! NE has been much improved, and seem to have the HC and QB figured out, so they'll be a problem. But this is the year that all the hard work, all the winning, all the getting close, all the superhuman Allen plays, finally pay off. -
Colts to bring in ….Philip Rivers for workout UPDATE: Signed to PS
zow2 replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haha, true. He can hang with the guys on some road trips. Interesting that if/when Rivers gets signed to the active roster the HOF clock resets for 5 more years until eligibility. Being on the practice squad doesn't mess with being eligible soon. -
My indictment is more on the coaching staff, not a player with football sense who knows when to make a play.

That's a lot of praises here that matches to most traits Kelce has. Yes there is surprise effective, efficient and reliable receiving that no one expected from him in NFL. But at the end o the day, his lack of quickness and natural receiving skills (like contested catches) will ultimately limit his ceiling from a receiving TE perspective. Kelce, even a couple of years ago, is hard to cover one-on-one: overwhelming majority of the LBs don't have his quickness and most of CB/safeties can't match his size. Kincaid, in my mind, will beat almost any LB covering him, but can be beat by some bigger CBs/safeties. I think there are a lot of LBs can cover Hawes one on one, and quite a few safeties can make it really tough for him on contested balls. With all that said, he's a rookie already exceeded the expectations by a lot. A better assessment will be next year this time to see what kind of improvement he made ... and how he fares when there is more attention paid to him by defenses.

Let’s talk about this Drake “marvelous “ Maye 😅

Guys, get a room -
Yea I just assumed it was Rush when they hinted "you won't need to cross the border"

Kinda surprised there isn’t a date here. All things considered, would think there’s a unique close boarder crossing kinship with Buffalo worthy of a visit.

Has Josh Allen put himself back in the race for MVP this year??

Colts to bring in ….Philip Rivers for workout UPDATE: Signed to PS

This caught my attention yesterday because there have been players like TO, for example, who stayed in great shape and expressed interest in returning to the NFL, yet no team took them up on the offer. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to take a hit in an NFL game after being away from the field for so long. -
When open he will catch the ball, don't expect more than that. He was drafted as a blocker

MNF: Eagles vs. Chargers (no Bills stuff please)
Cray51 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand your thinking, but this is different that looking at a team like the Dolphins who are 6-7 and being scared of them, vs. a team with incredible proven playoff success in the Chiefs who are 6-7. They may be older, they may be slower, but this coaching group has shown time and time again they are unable to stop the Chiefs in the playoffs when the rubber hits the road. The Chiefs were collapsing at 2-4 a few years ago as well, and then they won the Super Bowl. My philosophy is to play the worst QBs possible in the playoffs. The Bills can likely handle a CJ Stroud/Bo Nix/Phillip Rivers (LOL) than a Mahomes or Burrow. Keep the great QBs away from these winner take all games. -
I don't think refh assignments are on until later today.

So, you’re saying I got a chance? -
ironically, KC fans will want the Bills to win this week, because they need to get NE and DEN both to 4 losses so that DEN tries in week 18. IF either they have #1 seed wrapped up or cannot clinch it then they will rest everyone and LA will win. KC wish list this week: KC over LA Bills over NE GB over DEN if those things happen, the only other help would be: Week 16: Ravens over NE (or NE to lose any other 1 game along the way but this is most realistic) Week 18: DEN over LA 1 more loss for LA somewhere

There’s something different about McD this season…
BananaB replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah sure, that’s why our 3rd and long defense is so bad. That’s why it’s year 9 and we still struggle against the run. That’s why in 4 straight games against Burrow he opened the game with the same D that gave up TD drive after TD drive. McD is as stubborn as they come with his his system, it’s comical at this point. You know he’s struggling to makes stops but continues to do the same stuff. Learning would be fixing obvious mistakes. -
I was just going to say, how many freaking chances are they going to give scumbag Craig Carton? He was let go because of his incarceration, they took him back and then he bolted for FS1, then FS1 sh!tcanned him and WFAN welcomes him back with open arms. I never found him funny or entertaining, just a loud annoying douche. But I guess the NYC market thrives on loud, obnoxious talking heads, Just not my cup of tea. I will give you that Benigno can be funny just because he is the perfect caricature of a long-suffering NYC sports fan. He was a former caller to WFAN who ended up getting a gig. He's representative of a lot of the mouth breathers who call in to those shows.
