More Bengals Blunders. Trey Hendrickson to have surgery.
Augie replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
The fact remains, rolling the dice does not always work out, and it can set you back if things don’t go as you hope. In this case, some people wanted to go all in to get Hendrickson who is shutting it down now with a grand total of 4 sacks on the year for his $30Mil in 2025. Should we sign you up for that? -
I'm not going to nitpick individual games from the past five years. This year in particular is glaring though. We're downplaying the Pats winning 10 games in a row, meanwhile we lost games to the Falcons and Dolphins. If we had gone on a 10 win streak which was absolutely doable from the stretch of Baltimore to Tampa Bay, would we be downplaying it because we didn't beat any powerhouse along the way? Is there even a powerhouse to beat in the AFC this year? We were gifted with an easy schedule and we blew it. Pats were gifted with an easy schedule and have taken full advantage. In that context criticizing the opponents they've beaten just falls totally flat for me, especially when we were one of those opponents.

I didn't get to listen to WFAN today, but agreed that Evan has become a whiny maggot. He has an encyclopedic memory but that's his only redeeming quality. I think his downfall started when they paired him with Carton and to @Another Fan's point the drive time slot became very Barstoolish. Back in the Mike and the Mad Dog days I could tune in and hear actual sports talk and opinions. Nowadays it's just a lot of faux outrage over who said or who did what. It starts in the morning with Gio - great impersonations but no other redeeming qualities. The only good thing about the return of Carton (I was glad when he left) is it bumps Sal Licata and Brandon Tierney out of the afternoon slot. Addition by subtraction.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. No inside knowledge, but that guy is a good, experienced reporter. They often hear stuff they can't report. This type of thing is something that easily could be seen as (and something I view as) dropping a hint. -

You are completely wrong lol The bills have a more complete offense now that could win a Super bowl then most of Josh's career Everybody said it was never going to happen when he had to be Superman all game.. now he doesn't he just has to do it a few times a game We have the most complete offense in the AFC that could win multiple ways.. we also are battle tested Sorry dude you're a 100% wrong this is an offense that could give any team a problem in the Super bowl.. and Josh isn't going to have to have 400 passing yards to win There's plenty of people around the NFL who echo that sentiment besides the three u named This offense is not going to be easy to stop in the playoffs -

Graham posted something about how McDermott could best be described as "seething" following the loss of Ingram as a corollary to the non-appearance of Slay. -
Imagine if we had Jacobi Meyers. Glad we kept those mid round picks.

Doesn't prove that Sean McDermott wants to neuter Josh Allen and have us playing 1970 football I am 100% certain Sean McDermott wants us to be able to throw the ball he He also wants us to be able to control the game.. cuz guess what we can't leave our defense on the field all game There's levels to football Sean McDermott does not want to bring his back to 1968 he has said plenty of times he wants to be able to throw the football It's a salary cap League we could have shiny toys for Josh Allen and he'll probably be on his back because we won't be able to pay an offensive line Just give me another red x without having anything else to disagree about it's okay People said for years we put too much on Josh Allen and now we took it off of him and people say we're neutering him lol people have to make up their mind -
whose he gonna throw it to? How are Pars against TE’s. We have no WR. Glad we didn’t trade for Jacobi Meyers. and play 10 yards off the WR’s. 😜

Bills made mistakes. Exactly. Allen fumbled a fake with Knox. Coleman fumbled at the 10. Plus 9 penalties. That’s not an “A” game. No mention of Pats not earning the win. That was not the Bills best game.

Fan sentiment that Sean wants to play 1970s ball control football is rooted in their emotions and not facts Yes he wanted to run the ball more when Josh was starting games with 16 straight throws and zero rushing attempts... And our offense was severely handicapped in the postseason because it was all Josh Allen Guess what now Josh doesn't have to be Superman for 60 minutes because he has a world-class running game The bills can win a 24 to 21 game.. bills can win a 33 to 30 game We have the most versatility in the NFL plenty of ex NFL players will admit that rn... That the Buffalo Bills could beat you multiple ways And Josh Allen does not have to wear a Superman cape for 60 minutes anymore.. he just needs to put it on occasionally throughout a game The bills were never going to win a Super bowl with the running games we were putting out early in Josh's career Tom Brady had ball control offenses for 70% of his career This Buffalo Bills team right now is built to be very playoff successful I'm 100% certain -
Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*

I agree with the overall sentiment of your post (Pats are well coached, Maye is good and their run is impressive), but bolded is not true. We had such run in 2020. Record 13-3. Lost only to the Chiefs, 11-5 Titans on road under some brutal circumstances and 8-8 Cardinals. We were not No. 1 seed because of the Chiefs dynasty with 14-2 record. 2022 is also arguable, since in this case we lost to two inferior opponents (Dolphins and Jets), but we still ended up 13-3 and were not No. 1 seed because of the Chiefs dynasty with 14-3 record (and unfinished Bengals game). We also had such run in 2024. We had 13-3 record before W18 game vs Patriots, losing only to top teams on the road - Ravens, Texans and Rams. Again, we were not No. 1 seed because the Chiefs dynasty decided to win every one score game in the luckiest possible fashion and ended up with 15-2 record. So no. The only reason we have never been No. 1 seed is the freaking Mordor in Kansas. In fact, the Bills not having single No. 1 seed in last 6 years with their overall record is similar statistical anomaly as the Chargers being out of the playoffs despite being no. 1 offense and no. 1 defense a couple years ago.
