Once again, there are degrees. My wife took us a way that forced us to make a left turn in a bad spot today. I’m not calling a divorce attorney in the morning. It’s not pure love, or pure hate, like any relationships at work. Have people not lived thru stuff in their working years? Some people you like, most people you just get along with.

Is there Beane/McDermott Tension???
DrDawkinstein replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I mentioned yesterday I was seeing a lot of "smoke" online about this, but it's all just random people posting stuff in comments. Nothing of actual substance. Wishful thinking and echo-chamber type stuff. Even if there was a rift, we'd likely never know with the way they keep stuff locked down, and the respect they have for each other. This will be one of those things that the mob comments about until one of the big talking heads picks up on it and mentions it in a tweet, and then all those same people will use that as "proof" of its existence. -
Averaged 27 in the regular season huh? We are talking playoffs, not regular season. Regular season you get to play a lot of average & below average teams. Half your games are at home (and Indi has a dome) Bit different than a playoff game, playing on the road in cold BUFFALO. Rivers did not average 300 yards a game passing in regular season, but he threw for well OVER 300 yds v Buffalo and McD D in January. Don’t = Can’t

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*
HoofHearted replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Glad someone enjoyed it. Buried on page 13 I wasn’t sure if anyone was even going to see it. 🤣 -
I don't debate those void of reality.
-
No doubt. He will be leading the fans in MVP chants for Drake Maye. He will be even more pumped for this game than he was for the previous one, as will Hollins. Kraft will love him for it. I hope so bad that we beat them
-
Hell, it’s already fact.
-
I don't see any possibility this happens without McDermott's approval.
-
They scored 24 points It doesn't matter if a team has 800 yards of offense.. you keep fighting you keep playing the only thing that matters is how many times you let them into the end zone Colts offense was good that year and we held them to 24... That's the only thing that matters dude The only thing that matters Steve spagnola is worshiped around here and he got his ass kicked versus the Eagles last year lol Dude it happens... The only allowed 24 that's the only thing that matters The Ravens have the most pro bowlers in the NFL the last 6 years.. they have less to show them the bills

There’s something different about McD this season…
BillsShredder83 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hard to care who, what or why he cant get the job done. It's a binary question: Can you win a SB or not? We've been patient, Josh is 30, the NFL is terrible this year, and I do NOT believe in our chances this season. -
Has Josh Allen put himself back in the race for MVP this year??
Mr. WEO replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Voyers love a story. Worst to first is the story. -
Just love this kind of response. Can’t respond to the substance of the post. Can’t explain why a McD scheme got trashed by a 40 year old QB on his last legs. Being unable to fashion a reasonable response/defense, resorts to an ingenious stoned/perpetual take. Wow such insight into the NFL
-
I don't know about divide, but McD was 100000% upset about losing Ingram.

Stafford should win pretty comfortably unless he majorly lays an egg in the last 4 weeks. If the Bills somehow get the 1 or 2 seed and Allen scores 5 TDs per game until the end of the season he could repeat but I would still probably bet against it. Maye won't get it over Stafford because he hasn't "paid his dues", so to speak, while Stafford is at the tail end of a long career. Legacy stuff factors in a lot when it probably shouldn't.

Agreed, but we are at the point yhere is virtually no faith in the GM. And when you see this with a HC, the GM has to go,it won't be the coach. -

If that's the logic we should trade Josh Allen for Trent Dilfer! What are we even talking about here? Sure it can happen butttttt, there are certainly upgrades, and we can acknowledge things could be a loooooot better. Biggest blunders have been his repeated refusal to hire successful coordinators. Theres been a lot too. Thats enough to can a guy alone IMO, without factoring in all the other elements. I'd LOVEEEE to be wrong, but this team is a pretender 100%. Please prove me wrong!!! -
The problem here is Davis slimmed down this offseason and hasn’t been used in that bruiser role. Instead Josh has been in the short yardage role whether that the best use of our QB or not. I understand wanting less wear and tear on Josh and Cook, but a play on the 2 years line to take the lead isn’t the time to change what you have been doing well all season.

SHOULD the Bills pick up Dalton Kincaid’s 5th year option?
NewEra replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s not how this works. We have to pick up the option before next season. -
That was a team that averaged like 27 points per game in the regular season lol And Philip Rivers was playing his heart out for the last time... We held them under what their regular season average was

Do you think Devin McCourty is paid to stir the pot? I saw him on FNIA on Sunday talk about how Josh Allen is the only reason we make the playoffs every year, then when we inevitably lose he unduly takes all the blame on his shoulders. Like the supporting cast around him doesn't even deserve to be there, but the narrative becomes that Allen is playing on a Super Bowl caliber team and can't finish the job. As I've said before Allen is a victim of his own success. He gets criticized for not winning playoff games that we have no right to even be in. His ridiculous and unsustainable caliber of play last year convinced his GM that the offense was perfectly fine without a lick of WR talent. He singlehandedly erases so many flaws with the coaching staff and the roster that it's almost impossible to evaluate the rest of the machine around him which means McDermott and Beane probably have lifetime contracts. I'm not sure that any one player in NFL history had the singular effect that Allen has had on the Bills. Not that he's the GOAT, that mantle still belongs to Tom Brady, but I do think he erases mistakes better than anybody else that came before him. McDermott and Beane's careers were absolutely built by Josh Allen, and I don't even mean that as a criticism of them it's just a fact. Hell I'm convinced our new stadium deal was built by him too. It's a shame that this regime inexplicably chose to lean away from Allen's greatness in this 2nd window rebuild, but hopefully they've learned from the entirely predictable mistake and will pull a 180 in the coming offseason whether we win the Super Bowl or not.
