  1. Past hour
  2. I think this could be his best coaching job. This, in spite of being giving a roster that has glaringly been neglected in a couple of key spots by Beane. And, he has had to deal with players they brought in not working out-Larry Ogunjobi anyone. Also, being saddled with some poor cap decisions by the front office. I'd say he doesn't want to be tied at the hip with Brandon Beane, and it shows in his press conferences. McDermott is a pro and bites his tongue, and it shows that sometimes he'd just like to spit out that Beane hasn't done what he's asked for!
  3. Which is coaching purgatory imo. Not good enough to win a SB. Yet, good enough where it's tough to just replace him.
  4. Heck ask Luck to come back he's gotta be healed up by now & is younger than Brady but either could probably make a run at it with this team .
  5. I don't know if Aiyuk will get himself released and/or he would be healthy to play this year, but seems like a decent, albeit remote option. I wouldn't mind seeing DJ Moore brought in this offseason.
  6. I don't think the Pats will lose to either of them but if anyone can pull of the upset it will be the Dolphins despite Tua's struggles in the cold. The Jets don't have a shot at this point. They are playing Cook at QB now and he didn't look good vs the Dolphins.
  7. This is the game I bought the late season Sunday ticket for. Only cost like 40 bucks for the end of the year. I would be getting the Chargers Sunday.
  8. Doesn't that put even more pressure on McDermott though? Losing a postseason game to Nix, Maye, old Rodgers, Stroud would put him under the microscope even more. IF he/they can't get to a SB this year, it will never happen.
  9. Certainly is. To use his own words, he's a fundamentally strong coach. I really don't think he prevents us from winning, especially with a better roster. But I also don't think he's vaulting us to the forefront. I put most of that on his reluctance to add top coordinators outside the team including on his own defense. Watching what Ben Johnson does with Chicago's offense is just, wow. The motion, misdirection, all of it. It's a serious advantage. He's not bringing that type of advantage to the team.
  10. Shaq T needs to be on this list. He brings leadership intangibles and a toughness against the run that you can feel. Watch his press conferences, he's taken total ownership of the defense that no one else on that side of the ball has in years.
  11. It was crazy to hire the guy in the first place. It was a heavy lift, and has been a heavy lift for a long time. Some of the disrepair and rot throughout the organization pre-dates Pegula even. To just kind of circle the wagons around people you feel you can trust, then attempt to have everyone grow into their roles, have conversations, and figure everything out is foolish. Maybe it is great because Terry Pegula can go through the reports and have a seat at the big-kids table, but as far as icing an even mid-class hockey organization, it is not so great. Waiting for the inevitable Kevyn Adams President, Kekalainen GM, and Appert HC move. That will "buy" them another 4 years until people are allowed to be critical again without being accused of "wanting to just fire everybody all the time".
  12. Ridge, I like you so much that I think we should partner up in business together. I have no money. I don't really have any skills. Also, people find me annoying, quickly. Think it over and have your people call my people.* (* "my people" is my cell phone's name)
  13. Born in 1981. Started getting interested in football the year before our first Super Bowl run. So long ago... and I don't feel old.
  14. The username makes sense! All of the above. Exactly, football is a distraction and a welcome one
  15. Idk the bills are kinda well suited for the pats defense tbh. 2-3 TEs that can catch the ball is kinda what you want against them and a pretty good wr outside gets locked up by Gonzalez and doesn’t really help you much anyway. Really think schematically it’s not a bad matchup at all…they basically sell out in run support because their linebackers are old school run stuffers that can’t really cover well but it leaves the middle of the field vulnerable because the safeties can’t cover all the big targets. Kind of a holdover from the previous folks in charge…i think vrabel is trying to get better hybrid type linebackers but it’s a work in progress. it’s a good defense but one where all the stuff Brady does that everyone hates actually could work 😂. Kincaid and/or Knox will probably go off…obviously the cincy defense is much worse but the weaknesses are kind of the same
  16. According to Schefter, Riley Leonard (the third stringer) is now "week to week" with a PCL strain. When it rains, it pours.
  17. At this point given his out put & character concerns if Cooper has stayed in shape I'd almost rather bring him back than get this guy .
  18. They had 2 on Bengals first drive alone: Cam Lewis whiffed on Perrine on a 3rd and 6. Chase Brown (charitably listed as "5' 10"") dragged 5-6 Bills 5 yards in the EZ.
  19. 1) Josh Allen 2) James Cook 3) Joey Bosa 4) Shaq Thompson 5) Christian Benford In that order
  20. It is highly unlikely they will have something to play for. Also. Dolphins in the north east in January? Probably not. However this exact thing did happen in 2019 and prevented the pats from securing a bye.
  21. Finally, someone talking with me like we are still in this freaking thing. Thank you, Brother!! Go Bills!
  22. Oh, boy. I confess to the usual American lack of understanding of football (see what I did, there?). I do live in Tampa, and have a familiarity with the Glazers, however. I will trust your judgment. Who shall I root for?
