Ed Oliver, Quintin Morris remain out on Thursday

‘However, just like Wednesday, defensive tackle Ed Oliver (toe), tight end Quintin Morris (ankle), and running back Damien Harris (neck/concussion protocol) all sat out practice with their injuries.’

Allen practices Wednesday, to be monitored ‘one day at a time’

‘”I’ll know more a little bit after today, and seeing how he does out there. [It’s] always a concern,” said head coach Sean McDermott ahead of Wednesday’s practice. “I know we’ve been around each other enough that he’ll communicate if things raised to a certain level. Right now, it’s one day at a time approach here.”‘

Opinion: Bills grades: Week 6 vs. Giants

‘Something’s up with this offense, and it’s getting uglier since that electrifying win win over the Miami Dolphins.’

Damien Harris released from hospital following neck injury

‘McDermott confirmed on Monday that Harris has a neck sprain and is also in the league’s concussion protocol. However, McDermott says that Harris “seems to be in good spirits.”‘

Opinion: Deep Breaths

‘Nothing came easy for the Bills on this night. Actually, their first touchdown was a smart play design that sprung Deonte Harty for a walk-in score. Only problem was it took the Bills until the fourth quarter to get on the scoreboard at all.’

Opinion: Bills make it harder than it should’ve been

‘It was a win that was far more difficult than I would ever have imagined. They survived a huge scare, got an important win to stay within a game of the first place Miami Dolphins in the AFC East, and now it’s on to the New England Patriots.’

Bills escape with win over Giants on ‘Sunday Night Football’

‘In Brian Daboll’s return to Highmark Stadium on “Sunday Night Football”, the Bills overcame a sluggish start, and eventually held off one final push from the Giants to earn a 14-9 victory.’

Damien Harris taken off in ambulance during second quarter on Sunday

‘Eventually, the medical staff on the field called for the ambulance to take Harris off the field and to Erie County Medical Center. As the 26-year-old was being loaded into the back of the ambulance, Harris was seen giving a thumbs up not just to his teammates, but also the crowd in attendance.’

McDermott: Proud of Bills’ defense at end of half and the end of the game

‘”Nine points.” McDermott said following their 14-9 win over the Giants. “How often can you do that in an NFL game and two drives they had to go down and win the game and our defense stood up. Thought the guys did a phenomenal job.”‘

Allen: “It’s an ugly one, we’ll take it…”

‘”Just really wasn’t getting into a rhythm, pass and run game included. We need to find ways to get off to a faster start and I don’t think we have done that the past few games. At the end of the day it’s a win, an ugly one but we’ll take it but there’s a lot of things we have to learn from and get better at.”‘

Capaccio: Arrow Up/Arrow Down: Giants at Bills

‘The Bills had a 5-point lead and the ball at the Giants 37 yard line with just 1:45 remaining. Because the Giants still had all three timeouts left, the Bills needed to gain one first down to seal it. They couldn’t do it. Then, Tyler Bass missed a 53-yard field goal that gave the Giants the ball at their own 43-yard line with 1:25 left. So only 20-seconds came off the clock. New York promptly merged 42 yards down the field in that time, aided by a pass interference penalty on the Bills on the second-to-last play.’

Opinion: Capaccio: Giants at Bills: Sal’s keys, notes and stats

‘While the defensive line should be able to pin their ears back against the Giants offensive line, they also have to be very aware of Taylor‘s escapability and need to stay disciplined to not let him make plays out of structure to allow drives to continue.’

McDermott readies for return of Daboll, Taylor on Sunday

‘”Brian and I knew each other back when he was coaching at William and Mary in [Virginia]. That’s where we first got introduced to one another and stayed in touch from that point on,” said McDermott on Friday during his visit on the “Extra Point Show” on WGR. “Obviously he grew under Bill Belichick, I grew and under Andy Reid. Two good foundations from which to grow from, and Brian’s a good coach. We’re happy for him and happy for [general manager] Joe Schoen, as well. They’ve earned those jobs.”‘

Bills could face Tyrod Taylor on Sunday night

‘For the Giants, starting quarterback Daniel Jones missed his second-straight day of practice with a neck injury, which means former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor could be in line to start.’

Dane Jackson dealing with foot injury, others return to practice

‘Cornerback Dane Jackson did not participate in Wednesday’s walk-through session with a foot injury.’
