He’s learned under a lot of really good coaches. We’re going to have to utilize his knowledge going forward.”’

‘Dorsey was hired by the Bills in 2019 as the team’s quarterbacks coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2022 when Brian Daboll left to become head coach of the New York Giants.’

‘”I just felt like this was the right time,” he said. “Certainly an unfortunate situation but overall trying to install some new energy in our offense and new confidence and new consistency in our production.”‘

‘On a night where the Bills were sloppier than even their sloppiest, it was a fitting end to have the Denver Broncos miss a game-winning field goal in the dying seconds, only to be given another try after the Bills were penalized for having too many men on the field.’

‘Not only did the Bills lose a game they really needed to win, but it was how they lost the game that was so depressing.’

‘The offense is unimaginative, uses motion less than it should, uses under center concepts less than it should, uses up-tempo only when they need it, and have their quarterback off timing, leading to constant interceptions.’

‘Bills head coach Sean McDermott recognizes this type of performance as one that could cost the team its spot in the playoffs, especially if they continue making bad plays. However, McDermott stands by his team, and believes they did their absolute best, regardless of the two-point loss.’

‘It was not a good outing for Josh Allen on Monday, as the veteran Bills quarterback ended his evening by going just 15-of-26 for 177 yards, a touchdown in the air, a touchdown on the ground, but also three turnovers (two interceptions and a fumble).’

‘McDermott is responsible for for every aspect of this team, including assistant coaches and players. They made far too many critical mistakes in too many areas on Monday night. That all falls at his feet.’

‘This isn’t just a red zone point. The Bills are actually third in the NFL in converting touchdowns in the red zone at 68.57%. But lately they’ve been hurting themselves with critical mistakes even before they get there.’

‘Benford is dealing with hamstring injury, while Hyde has a neck/stinger injury. Both occurred during last Sunday night’s 24-18 loss at the Cincinnati Bengals. Neither player returned to the game after going out with their injuries.’

‘”That was impressive. With the amount of guys that we had going down, we had quite a few backups coming in, and just the effort, the mindset. They were playing hard, and to hold, what I would say is a very good offense, to three points in the second half, we can win with that,” said Bills head coach Sean McDermott during his weekly Friday appearance on WGR. “I think that same mindset has to continue, and we’ll see what we have available to us this week.
