‘For the first time in several years, the offseason for the Bills featured a substantial amount of turnover with familiar names departing, and fresh new faces beginning to establish themselves on the team. This included a number of past leaders of the team exiting like wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, center Mitch Morse, cornerback Tre’Davious White, and safeties Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer.’

‘Damar Hamlin was a starting safety along with Taylor Rapp on Wednesday. Head coach Sean McDermott had said the team planned for Mike Edwards to be a starter, but a shoulder injury set him back during OTAs and minicamp. On Thursday, Edwards took that spot with Rapp and the rest of the starting defense, with Hamlin moving back to the second unit with rookie Cole Bishop.’

‘”When fans come to the stadium this year, they’re going to be very surprised. They’re gonna have obviously have a great view of what’s going on, but they’re gonna be surprised where we’re at,” said Bills COO Pete Guelli on Thursday during an appearance on WGR from St. John Fisher University. “I would never say ahead of schedule, but feel really good.”‘

‘“There are idiots everywhere,” the GM said. “You try to ignore this stuff, but Josh is going into year seven and there’s still the naysayers. I don’t get it and if I was going to use rated, I would say underrated and I know I’m biased.”‘

‘”Bobby will certainly have his fair share. I’ll call it some.” McDermott said before practice. “But getting that getting that piece worked out. And I have a pretty good feel in my head for where I’m going with it.”‘

‘Kincaid, going off a very impressive rookie season, was excellent in the 7-on-7 red zone period, finding ways to get open and making the catch whenever thrown his way.’

‘Here are six of the bigger questions that need to be answered…’.

‘In his 10 seasons prior to joining the Bills, Miller averaged 11 sacks. Needless to say, the Bills need the now 35-year-old to come back strong. That would help offset the loss of Leonard Floyd to free agency. Floyd led the Bills with 10.5 sacks last season.’

‘It was a tough offseason, one that should be likened to taking medicine: It tastes awful, it’s bitter as hell, but the team will be better off for it.’

‘The offense did seem to run the ball a little more after Brady replaced Dorsey, and they definitely got James Cook more touches overall.’

‘Here is what I think of the on-paper version of the Bills this year: They are a playoff team, no question about that. I still think they are the team to beat in the AFC East, but they won’t walk to the title like they did in 2021 and 2022.’

‘Brown has worked with the Bills since 2006, and becomes just the third full-time play-by-play announcer for the team in franchise history. He served as the interim play-by-play man of the Bills late in the 2022 season, and went on to call 24 games in that span – 18 regular season games and four postseason games.’

‘“Just learning, actually learning the playbook and not just what are we doing with that game plan, so I’m still learning. It’s me and coach every morning trying to get that down pat, so it’s good to have a full season here and not just the half that I had here.”’

‘Bills fans will be able to attend all but one of the 11 practices at St. John Fisher University in Rochester. They will also be able to attend the Return of the Blue and Red scrimmage at Highmark Stadium on Friday, August 2nd at 5:30 PM.’

‘Quarterback Josh Allen and many of the regular starters didn’t take any team reps in 11-on-11. Allen wore a headset with a play-calling sheet as offensive coordinator Joe Brady stood on the sidelines watching the unit.’
