‘Johnson figures to play nickel corner with the Bills. He’s a good fit for a zone coverage scheme, which Sean McDermott and Leslie Frazier use a lot of. His quick feet allows him to stick with slot receivers over the middle. His weaknesses include his size, which should prevent him from being an outside cornerback in the NFL. Johnson’s tackling will also be something the Bills look to improve in his game.’

‘Many think this can be an immediate help for the Bills, with Teller potentially starting as a rookie. He’ll join a competition in the interior offensive line that includes Russell Bodine, John Miller, and Ryan Groy.’

‘Then in the 7th round the Bills selected Austin Proehl. Son of former Jets receiver Ricky Proehl.’

‘Philips is a high motor guy. What he lacks in physical tools he has in effort. Many draft experts don’t believe that Philips has the burst to supply consistent pressure on the quarterback, or the strength to be a great run stuffer. His best trait is his hand technique.’

‘The quarterback and linebacker got an ovation from the Bills’ staff inside the lobby of the offices of One Bils Drive before spending time with owners Terry and Kim Pegula, general manager Brandon Beane, and the rest of the front office and coaching staff. From there the two met with the local media and answered questions together at one table inside the Bills’ media room.’

‘During his three seasons with the Hokies, Edmunds registered 213 total tackles, 112 solo tackles, one interception, three forced fumbles and 10 sacks. In his junior season, Edmunds was a finalist for the Butkus Award after he recorded 108 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 13 games.’

‘Furthermore, the father of this trio, Ferrell, had an admirable NFL career of his own. He was a Pro Bowler and a two-time all-pro selection to boot with the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks.’

‘Jackson is the best dual threat quarterback in this draft as his numbers will attest. The Florida native saw action in three games as a freshman and was the Cardinals’ starter each of the last two seasons. He threw for 7,203 yards and 57 touchdowns, while producing 3,172 yards and 39 touchdowns on the ground. But don’t get the idea that Jackson is a run first guy. He is a passer who can run as opposed to a runner who is asked to pass.’

‘Rudolph fits the part of the ideal character for how general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott seem to want to cast their team. Consider this: in last year’s draft, every one of the six players the Bills selected was a four-year player in college. I don’t think that was by coincidence. They targeted players with experience. In this draft, the only other highly-touted QB to do that (as far as actual game experience) is Baker Mayfield, who played one year at Texas Tech then three at Oklahoma.’
