‘McDermott’s defenses have been so good and consistent over seven years, he deserves the benefit of the doubt to say it was just a bad day. However, the numbers say the Bills could have more problems ahead.’

‘The NFC North-leading Detroit Lions are 12-1. The last and only loss this season came way back in Week 2 when Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers left the “Motor City” with a 20-16 victory. The 16 points were/are a season-low, and that is the only game this season where the Lions were held under 20 points.’

‘On the positive side of injury news, wide receiver Keon Coleman (wrist) and tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee) were both full participants.’

‘The Bills struggled to get things going early and rallied in the second half but ultimately fell short by a score of 44-42.’

‘It was not a good day for the defense Sunday, the Bills gave up a season high 44 points along with only forcing one punt from the Rams offense and not getting a sack from quarterback Matthew Stafford.’

‘On Sunday, Josh Allen became the first NFL quarterback in 70 years to have as many as three touchdown passes and three rushing touchdowns in the same game. Yet, the Bills still lost.’

‘No NFL team should lose a game in which they score 42 points. But the Bills did. Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Bobby Babich were out-coached on that side of the ball by Sean McVay and his staff. They had no answers for the Rams multiple formations and motion.’

‘The Bills have until Saturday at 4 p.m. ET to put Carter on the active roster in order for him to play on Sunday. If they do that, they’ll also have to make a corresponding roster move to make room on the 53-man active roster.’

‘Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott joined Sal Capaccio on the “Extra Point Show” for his weekly appearance on Friday morning. He did not rule any players out for Sunday’s game against the Rams and emphasized that all players, including Keon Coleman and Taylor Rapp who have been in a limited role in non-contact jerseys, will be practicing in some form on Friday afternoon.’

‘This season, Sean McVay’s team opened the year 1-4. They’ve since won five of their last seven games, but are just 10th in the NFC, a game-and-a-half out of the final Wild Card spot in the NFC.’
