Klein will be 32 next week and he’s better suited to being a backup. In all likelihood, one of those three will start on opening night in New York, and your guess is as good as mine.’

‘Now Singletary is gone and the Bills will be looking to get more out of Cook because as a second-round pick, let’s be fair; he needs to step up and become the primary back. Having Damien Harris and Nyheim Hines is nice, but as a second-rounder, Cook needs to be the main man.’

‘It’s funny because Knox was just given a four-year contract extension last season, yet Kincaid may wind up being the type of player the Bills wish Knox would have become by now – a tight end who is a true difference-maker down the field the way stars Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews and George Kittle are for their teams.’

So the “very concerned” comment seemed unusual given that McDermott had just spoken with Diggs, at the facility.’
