‘After making it through the preseason in Buffalo, it appeared that McCoy was going to stick on the Bills roster despite the fact that he was scheduled to a lot of money ($6.175 million in 2019). As a matter of fact, after the Bills’ third preseason game, coach Sean McDermott actually seemed somewhat excited about the possibility of going into the season with both McCoy and Frank Gore.’

‘It’s also possible he could end up back in Buffalo as a member of the team’s 10-man practice squad unit, giving them speedy insurance in their WR unit. Wade made his way to the NFL via the league’s International Pathway Program, which allowed him to at least achieve the first part of his dream. He’s now looking for a chance to achieve the rest of it.’

‘Bodine became expendable for Buffalo with the Thursday night announcement that presumptive starting center Mitch Morse — signed away from the Chiefs this offseason on a four-year, $44.5 million deal — has cleared the concussion protocol and should be available for Week 1. The Patriots, meanwhile, learned earlier this week that their own starting center, David Andrews, is likely to miss a significant amount of time after he was hospitalized when blood clots were discovered in is lungs.’

‘Teller, a 2018 fifth-round pick of the Bills, started seven games at left guard last season. He didn’t allow a sack last season in 476 offensive snaps, but had five penalties.’

‘”He has a history of being a great kicker in this league for a long time,” said special teams coordinator Heath Farwell. “I love Steve to death. Nobody works harder at their craft than him. He hasn’t lost an ounce of it.”‘

‘Wade is still considered a long shot to make the Bills roster, based on all the veteran players the franchise added in to revamp the running back position. The Bills added Frank Gore this offseason, creating some competition for LeSean McCoy. Gore, heading into his 15th NFL season at age 36, finished with 156 carries for 722 yards and no touchdowns last season, but his 4.6 yards per carry average was his highest since 2012, the fourth of five Pro Bowl appearances.’

‘Gore, the Bills’ 36-year-old running back, will be kept up of Buffalo’s second preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. McCoy will be given the night off. Like most teams, the Bills are trying to give their veteran players as much rest as possible during the preseason while also limiting the risk of injuries.’

‘It won’t always be the prettiest, and they could lean on a few tiebreakers like in 2017, but the Bills are going back to the playoffs this season.’
