They have made it a priority to make other owners aware of Frazier’s pivotal role in their organization and their belief that he would be a highly successful head coach if given the opportunity again. Frazier took over the Vikings at a time when the roster was slipping and they were in the aftermath of Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre moving on. The Bills are in first place in the AFC East and well-positioned to go back to the playoffs, which should also shine a light on Frazier’s accomplishments.’

‘A nine-year veteran of the Carolina Panthers’ front office prior to joining Buffalo, Beane has helped remake the Bills’ core since succeeding Doug Whaley as the team’s GM. His trades ahead of the 2017 NFL Draft, his first on the job, allowed Buffalo to select quarterback Josh Allen seventh overall; since then, a number of key moves around Allen — most notably this offseason’s acquisition of Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs — helped turn to the Bills into a bona fide contender.’

The Bills struggled to get a consistent ground game going against the Niners’ front, with Devin Singletary only occasionally flashing, but boy does Brian Daboll deserve a ton of credit for the way he’s tapped into Buffalo’s talent. Josh Allen somehow had a quiet four-touchdown performance that also lacked any of his trademark head-scratching decisions, feasting on the Niners’ zone coverage all night long. Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley were equally as impressive working San Francisco’s corners to combine for almost 20 catches and over 200 yards on the evening. This team is productive and fun to watch when it’s rolling; in fact, it’s not a stretch to see just a little bit of Kansas City Chiefs in them.’

‘”We’re sitting at 8-3, and eight wins doesn’t win the division — unless you’re in the NFC East,” Allen said with a smile. “In all seriousness, coach (Bills head coach Sean) McDermott preaches playoff caliber and our goal is to get into the playoffs. Once you get into the playoffs, anyone has a chance to win it. The easiest way to get into the playoffs is to win your division.”‘

‘Allen and Bills running back Devin Singletary immediately congratulated Beasley on his accomplishment. Beasley, who was an option quarterback in high school, was converted to a wide receiver at Southern Methodist University. He had previously attempted only three passes in his NFL career, both were incompletions. Beasley’s last pass in the NFL was in 2018 with the Dallas Cowboys while his other attempt was in 2016.’

‘Ford, the team’s second-round pick in 2019, has started 22 of a possible 26 games thus far in his career. Given the timeline laid out for the injury, he should be ready for 2021 training camp, where he’ll resume his place as part of Josh Allen’s protection unit up front.’

‘”Me personally, I know I could’ve timed it up better,” Hyde said, via the Bills website. “I was trapped behind him. I was too worried about him getting over top of the defense. So I stayed back and tried to force everything to be in front of me. And at the same time, when the ball was in the air, I was stuck behind him. I wasn’t able to get in front.’

‘Instead, they allowed Allen to throw 49 times on the road — against an opportunistic secondary, no less — and must now live with the consequences. This was a loss that didn’t have to happen to Buffalo, but in several ways, they earned it.’

‘Norman, who is in the middle of his first season with the Bills, returned to practice this week after missing last’s week win over the Seahawks with a hamstring injury. Wallace, who had been starting across from Tre’Davious White since coming off injured reserve, will likely be replaced in the starting lineup by Siran Neal, a three-year veteran who has appeared in each of the Bills’ first nine games. Marlowe has made four starts in nine games this season, while Kroft has caught 12 passes and three touchdowns so far.’

They gave up just 3.4 rushing yards per attempt and tallied three second-half takeaways as the Seahawks tried to tighten the game.’

‘”Now, he’s still a dangerous runner – I’m not saying that. He can run and he does run, but I think he’s become more patient and just does a better job of dealing with outlet receivers in the coverage or secondary receivers in the pattern than he did. As he gained experience, I think that’s to be expected of any good quarterback like that. So, he can certainly make all the throws. He’s got a great arm and he can run, he’s athletic, he’s hard to tackle. But, I’d say his overall execution in the passing game has improved each of the last three years.”‘
