‘Of course, it makes sense that the Bills want to protect their investment in their star quarterback. Buffalo’s offensive line has been solid, if not necessarily spectacular over these past couple seasons, so it also makes sense that the Bills would seek upgrades up front. We have seen in each of the last two Super Bowls just how important it is for an offensive line to hold up against relentless pressure. Buffalo hasn’t been to the Super Bowl yet, but solidifying the line could help them get there.’

‘The Bills are likely to be Super Bowl contenders again next season, but Sanders won a ring already during his time with the Denver Broncos, so it’s not like he still has that one thing left to shoot for. Sanders was drafted back in 2010, and he’s had a long, successful career during which he has played for five teams, catching 704 passes for 9,245 yards and 51 touchdowns. He’s dealt with injuries in recent years and saw his effectiveness markedly decline over the second half of this season, so perhaps he feels it is simply time to hang up his spikes.’

‘This might leave the AFC in a bit of a pickle, having to now identify another alternate, and potentially more than one. With Jackson and Allen now out, that leaves only Justin Herbert as starter with Patrick Mahomes as the only backup, but the latter is preparing to play in the AFC Championship and hopes to punch his ticket to Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium. If he does, he won’t be available for the Pro Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 6 in Las Vegas, leaving only Herbert on the roster.’

‘Chiefs fans began donating $13 each to the hospital thanks to a post from the Facebook account “Chiefs Kingdom Memes.” The $13 figure, of course, is a nod to the 13 seconds the Chiefs had left on their final drive of regulation. On the drive, Patrick Mahomes hit Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce for gains of 19 and 25 to set up a game-tying 49-yard field goal from Harrison Butker as time expired.’

‘When it comes to a potential candidate to replace Daboll, Jones also reported that Allen has been highly complimentary of Bills quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey. Daboll, who has been a part of six combined championship staffs between college and the NFL, has served as the Bills offensive coordinator since 2018. He’s had a hand in helping the young Allen develop into one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, as Buffalo has finished in the top five in total offense over the past two seasons.’

‘Booth would provide the Bills not only a player at a position of need, he’d give Buffalo’s secondary more juice by way of his lightning-quick feet and downfield speed. Booth was the No. 2 cornerback recruit in the nation in 2019. He has plenty of experience — and highlight-reel interceptions — on the perimeter. He’d be the perfect running mate with Tre’Davious White in the Bills’ defensive backfield.’
